Pop culture for horror junkies; all about the famous films, creepypasta tales, trends and tropes that bled from the fringes of fright into the macabre mainstream.
Entries for the 15 Second Horror Challenge are Open for 2017... Get Involved!
They say third times a charm and we should definitely hope so, as the #15secondhorrorchallenge returns for it's third season this year. The brainchild of filmmaker Andrew Robinson, who felt inspired to create a network for up and coming horror directors and writers to showcase their collective works online. The 15-second challenge aims to freak YOU out in as little time as possible, not a bad idea in this busy old world we live in. Frankly, I LOVE the idea of watching a mini-horror anthology while sat in a coffee shop or on the train home (I never take the train but whatever). Read on and beware! You're in for a few shocks...

Do You Love Horror? Then Come Get Some!
Summer is coming to an end and those dark, VERY dark, nights are starting to draw ever closer. Every horror fan loves this time of year as its the official season for celebrating all things evil and it usually culminates in horror movie binges on Halloween night. I love to do this regardless of the time of year and horror will ALWAYS be my go-to genre. So, I figure, why wait any longer? Check out some of my own terrifying short-films that (hopefully) will keep you up at night...

Why You'll Agree 15 Seconds Is the Right Length for a Horror Film Today
A horror movie's job, essentially, is to scare the audience by building up tension throughout its run-time and venting this tension at key points in the film. Most movies run somewhere between an hour and a half to two hours (unless you're Peter Jackson then all bets are off) giving enough time to really spin a story and get into the characters. However as a species we're heading into an era of ever decreasing attention spans and it seems those 'slow burning' horror films from the golden era are not being adopted by this new generation.

No Fairytale Ending: The Horrific Story Of Creepypasta's 'Abandoned By Disney'!
Abandoned theme parks, zombie mascots, and an Area 51-style conspiracy — just in time for Halloween. Plucked from the hellish nightmares of Walt himself, the story of Abandoned By Disney comes "first hand" from Christopher Howard Wolf, aka Redditor Slimebeast. On a par with the story of Slender Man, Abandoned By Disney is one of Creepypasta's most notorious stories. As with all these "true events" stories, the question remains — "Is there any truth in the story?" With X-Files like intuition I am here to find out, but warn you to turn back now — you will never hug Donald Duck again, ever!

'The Walking Dead' Season 5: Could Charlie Sheen Play Negan!?
One of the much anticipated characters coming to "The Walking Dead" - maybe even in Season 5 - is the ruthless Negan; possibly the scariest character in all of the comics. Creator Robert Kirkman has been coy about when he will meet Rick and his gang, but say's he is on his way.

Could There Be A New Frankenstein In Town?
#MaryShelley’s iconic monster could see itself adapted to film again, but this time the creature and his creator, #Frankenstein, will be transported to war-torn Iraq. Reuters Arabia last week announced that Iraqi writer, Ahmed Saadawi’s award-winning novel Frankenstein in Baghdad, will be adapted to film by a heretofore unnamed British production company.
