Haunted by Fear

The Weird Home
I remember when I first saw the house. It was a decrepit old thing, with peeling paint and broken windows. It sat on the outskirts of town, nestled deep in the woods. People had always said that it was cursed, that strange things happened there, but I had never believed them.

Antique Mirror
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. It had my height and build, but it wasn’t me. On the other side, I saw black claws protruding from my fingers. The lower half of my legs were bent at odd angles and resembled the hind paws of a wolf. And my face…it wasn’t there. A gloomy shadow covered the entire head. Two small white eyes were the only things that could be seen. I don’t know how long we stood staring at each other. Even if it was a few seconds, it felt like an hour. The figure looked like it was breathing heavily from the way its slightly hunched shoulders moved up and down. I glanced around the mirror and noticed we stood at the end of a hallway. Behind me, I saw an endless row of doors on either side. How did I get here?

Snaggletooth
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn’t my own. I called her Snaggletooth. She scared me at first. What twelve year old wouldn’t scream at some evil spirit with a bloody, jagged smile from ear to ear staring back through a dinged, silver hand mirror?
