Whispering Shadows of the Abandoned Manor
The wind howled through the desolate landscape, carrying with it an eerie chill that seeped into the bones of anyone who dared to venture near the old abandoned manor. For years, the looming structure had cast a shadow over the small town of Ravenswood, its windows shattered and its walls draped in ivy that seemed to writhe like serpents in the moonlight.

The Hopeless Hope of The Heart's Murderer
As I opened my eyes, I found myself lying on the cold, hard floor. The classroom around me was in disarray, the desks and chairs strewn haphazardly. My heart pounded, and my head throbbed with confusion. What had just happened? The last thing I remembered was switching classes, transitioning from one lesson to another. The room was silent now, except for the faint ticking of the clock on the wall.

Doctor Winters Forgetfulness Clinic- In the Cow Shed
“Have a seat, Mr Costner. What brings you into the clinic today?” William Costner didn’t appear to be a man who was used to looking so unsure of himself. He was a burly man in his late forties, and Dr. Winter could see the scars on his hands from a life spent working. As he sat there in his plaid work shirt and wrangler jeans, she thought he looked a little like Burt Reynolds, though definitely less handsome and more plain faced. She had done her research, she knew that Mr. Costner owned a large ranch between Cashmere and Gainesville. She also knew that he supplied a lot of beef to the area, meaning his was not some small-scale operation. His bill had been paid with a check, and he hadn’t put down an insurance company, though she knew he had one. He had chosen to come to her instead of going to a therapist in his hometown. Mr. Costner was afraid that people would talk if they knew he had seen a “head shrinker” or whatever he called her in his head.

The Devil
Satan. The Devil. Beelzebub. Lucifer. The Great Deceiver. Old Scratch. Call him what you like, The Devil has equally terrified, tormented, and fascinated mankind for millennia. Surprisingly, given his place in Christian religion and Western culture at large, there is precious little about his dark majesty in the Bible. The Old Testament has only ten references to him, and though there are more in the New Testament, his traditional biography is actually from the Apocrypha (non-canonical religious texts), where the Book of Enoch describes how Satan and his rebel angels angered God through their pride and were thrown from heaven.
