Pitter Patter, It's Halloween
Halloween is a holiday entrenched in the fascination of death, and the polarity of humans engaging in completely faux behavior, adopting entirely different personalities to accompany their doctored appearance. In a way it’s comical to display such indifference to the harsh realities of life.

Norma
As a lover of Halloween, I wouldn't be true to my love if I hadn't been an actor in the haunted houses that the masses flock to every October. My love of Halloween started at a young age although really I can only remember it from being school aged outside in the dark in a costume. I recall not being afraid of the dark, but feeling elated at being outside in a costume when I usually would have been inside. I still feel that spark to this day.

Autumn, 26th of October
My dear Desean, I finally felt a chill in the air today, which is saying a great deal for me. It's been quite some time since I felt anything at all, so the shift in air temperature against my skin was almost alarming, until I realized what it was. It was nice, though. It reminded me of you. But who am I kidding. Everything reminds me of you. I wake to the morning rays sliding through the curtains of my window and I see how they fell on your face all those years ago. The smell of fresh coffee brewing, the sound of the shower running, the tinkling of laughter from the TV. You're in everything and yet you're not here at all.

A Dragged Out Halloween. Third Place in Costume Contest Challenge.
2020 has been a difficult year for queer artists and the drag community on the worldwide stage. Physical shows had been cancelled worldwide and we all became bedroom queens —a queen who only creates drag in a private space, opposed to creating and sharing in live public forums. In response to this, drag queens and kings started to create online shows which swiftly became the new norm for our community with shows being streamed all over the internet and prominently on Facebook, Youtube and Twitch. Even now in October, many, many months since lockdown began, there are still online shows going on worldwide even if live performances are allowed in your local area. It truly does seem that digital drag is here to stay, at least for the meanwhile, and is the only way that I am personally able to perform due to lockdown restrictions on live performances in Scotland.

Tar Filled Heart
Cyrene floated in the current, drifting effortlessly along the coral reef. She once admired it for its beautiful, diverse colours. It had teemed with life, and different types of fish spilled in and out of every crevasse, a blossoming underwater garden. The reef served as a safe haven to many—Cyrene included. It was home to a colony of mermaids, of whom she called her own. For as long as she can remember, her mother ruled as Matriarch. As Cyrene grew older, position of Matriarch was passed along to her. The mermaids were her loved ones, and the reef was a sanctuary.

Samhain
Happy Samhain. The observance of change when the old year has passed, the harvest has been gathered, animals brought in from the fields and the leaves have fallen from the trees. The earth slowly begins to die around us and the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest, allowing the spirits of the dead to travel again among the living and we welcome the dark part of the year. Beautiful!

The King Of The Forest
Once upon a time, very distant from society, a magical forest exists. A forest where all the creatures lived in peace, until two different species came wanting to take over; they fought over the years to try to rule the forest. they caused a lot of fears and worries around the forest creatures. the good ones praying to the gods for a savior and protector. But little do they know that their prayers will be answer quicker than they think. because on this Halloween 2020 a prophecy will come to effect. That a new king will emerge to rule over. A hybrid king, half tree and half rock more powerful than any creature. Nothing will come on his way and will save and protect all the forest creatures for ever.

Where Did Halloween Go?
Is the Loss of Halloween the Pandemic’s Fault? A lot of people are talking about how the pandemic may essentially cancel Halloween this year. Admittingly, I even wrote a post about it, saying as much too. Recently, I started to really think about it and realized that even before the pandemic happened, Halloween was starting to vanish.
