Wine with the Dead
(To protect my privacy and courtesy of my employers the locations of these places are kept under anonymity) From the time when I was a child, I was always the biggest believer in the paranormal, but I soon grew out of that phase as I got older. But unbeknownst to me that as soon as I took my first steps into that world it would not be easy to let go of so easy. Over the course of time, I’ve experienced so many paranormal encounters that they have become my own ghost adventures. I’ve seen things, heard things, and felt things but, my first hardcore paranormal experience that made a true believer once again happened at my first vineyard job in the Maryland Virginia area.

The Kitchen Designer
The phone rang out just as I was dozing in front of the open fire. The boys were getting ready to watch The A Team and we had just finished an early supper in anticipation of a quiet night in and receiving a few ‘trick or treaters’ from the estate.

The Ghost I Encountered
Some will argue there is no such thing of ghosts. I understand those individuals may feel frightened by the thought of phantoms or banshees roaming our world. Or some individuals may just assume that ghosts are a bunch of silly fictional myths that our kind made up for amusing fairy-tales to be told over the past centuries. However, "seeing is believing," and if I never saw the things I've seen in my lifetime, perhaps, I too would question their existence.

Hecate's Curse
She walked past the old barn, where her horses were, hearing the old barn owl, not normally a comforting sound, but tonight it meant something different. Her raven hair cascading down her back, blowing in the breeze. The seasons were changing slower than usual, it was late December, and the chill in the air was more spring like than autumn or winter. During the day, the sun had been shining brightly, which had made her heart feel happy. It had been a long while since she had felt good inside. She carried with her a small box, and a small spade. She was heading once again to the crossroads. In times before, she had gone to banish some bad news, gossip, or negative people from her life or from the lives of those she loved. She could still smell the memories of the camphor from such dealings. In those days, she walked with her sister, but this time, she walked alone. It was something you didn't invite companions to; announcing the very thing you wished to banish would never be practical.

Sewed Eyes
My head snaps back as he grabs onto my hair with one hand and squeezes my waist with the other. The wind covers our final moans like a blanket would cover a scared child. The skin of my hands press further and tighter against the peeled paint of the barn, forgetting the chance of a splinter and living in the moment of ecstasy. Xavier’s head rests against my exposed back once he finishes entirely, and I can feel his hot breath send relaxing shivers up my spine. The feeling is short though, because before we can relish in the exhaustion for too long he is putting his clothes back on. My hands pull away from the barn and I feel the cold beginning to travel through the hairs on my arms, sinking into the flesh that was hot and sweaty moments ago.

It was a wet, late autumn and matted leaves coloured brown, yellow and red were raked in ovals larger than the shrubs in their thickets lining the front of the cemetery yard. In the morgue’s embalming room below its chapel, parlour, down a spiral flight into the basement on a cold, clear and dreary evening the funeral home’s mortician had begun the process, draining substance of red from the veins, forcing one in and the other out. The removed articles of clothing, in a bungle on the floor and stained with the essence of final substances released yellow and brown, he rolled into a ball and threw in the trash.

STOP!
Running, running, running. The night is pitch, a blanket of darkness that engulfs the landscape and blinds those who dare to tread. Don’t go out after dark, they say, for even that which is known becomes strange. They want to scare us, to keep us away, but away from what? The darkness cannot hurt you anymore then the day.

THE UNQUESTIONED SECRET
The school had a long vacation which happened to be a privilege for Monica and her friends to go to the pool. At the pool, the ladies had a whole lot of fun together. The bag fell to the ground. “Thank you”, she said to Julius sharply. “Hey I’m Julius; may I know your name please?” “I’m Monica”, she said, busy pressing her phone while some of her friends went to the pool to swim. Minutes after, she went to the pool to swim as she saw Julius capturing her. “Hey! Idiot, why would you take pictures of me without my consent”!? She asked angrily, smashing his phone on the floor. “Monica, I’m deeply sorry, I… I was just too afraid to come to meet you for your permission”, he said, begging her. Monica walked away and left the pool.
