Innocent
“You are hereby awarded the bequeathed sum of twenty-thousand dollars. This matter is settled. Court is now adjourned.” Judge Nazaree smacked her gavel against its base with a resounding crack that echoed throughout the courtroom. The shouting and arguing of the late Jordan Taylor’s family was drowned out when his Cadence turned her beautiful, tear-streaked face towards him. He beamed and held out his arms as she flew into them, sobbing uncontrollably. For a few moments he just held her tight and let her react. It had been a hard six years on her, on them, fighting for what should have been given freely.

Tight Spot
Titus hovered over his laptop as he tried to find the words he was looking for. He'd been at a standstill for weeks, and he needed to get it finished so he could...What exactly? Motivation
Footsteps pounded on pavement; harsh breathing rebounded off the crumbling walls of long-abandoned buildings. Behind me, indistinguishable shouting echoed down deserted streets, the high-pitched screams of bloodlust sounding eerily like baying hounds set loose on a hunt.

The Whims of the Wicked
There it was. Finally. She had truly tracked it down. After a long and arduous trek in uncharted Amazonian jungle territory, blindly following her directions in the hostile environment, their lot could finally feast their eyes on the sight before them. The Aeducan. The fabled pirate ship itself; said to have plundered countless empires throughout the ages, pillaging with no discrimination the ancient Greeks, the Persian Empire, the Romans, the Huns, and even the Egyptians during Cleopatra’s era. It seemed impossible then, but traces of the Aeducan were to be found everywhere in local legends and old wives’ tales; it still seemed impossible now, despite the evidence before them.
