fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Fae Fantasy
SCROLL 1 I grew up in a split home filled to overflowing with neglect, pain, and depression. Both houses had their downfalls, yet my mom's was truly cursed, try as I might I could never preserve the dwindling happiness that fell away at her door. My father's house tried to support me, tried to fill me with wonder and enjoyment, but frankly it was never enough, nothing would ever be enough. I was filled with an emptiness that could not be bribed out of me.

The Devil's In The Details
Mr. Beasley moved into 11 Fairview Lane on a sticky July afternoon. Mama and I watched from our living room across the street as our new neighbor replaced the battered mailbox in front of his cottage with a bright, fire engine red one. He then proceeded to paint his last name on the box in big, black capital letters.

Valve Down
The day before the Valve Shop burned down, I turned 29 and the girl I was living with at the time left me. At the time, I was mostly upset I wouldn’t be getting the homemade chocolate cake I had been pestering Gwen for. I celebrated my 29th birthday alone with a case of Budweiser; I don’t know if I ate anything, but there was no cake that is for sure.

Inside
Shae woke up in a room so dark she feared that she'd gone blind. She blinked hard, tasted blood, felt her stomach roil in response. She tried to get up, but the ache in her head became a screaming, stabbing mass of pain. She collapsed, gasping, and tried not to cry out.

Keeper of the Abyss.
Luck was never on Amy’s side; even if it seemed good, it wasn’t. The saying ‘If I didn’t have bad luck, I wouldn’t have any.’ was ingrained in her memory. That hadn’t changed throughout her life. Even as she clutched twenty grand in her hands, creeping through the inky abyss that used to be a busy sidewalk. All around her, she couldn’t see further than a couple feet. It was like she was the only thing emitting light in a lightless pit. Worse still, something was lurking in that pitch just out of sight. Amy couldn’t help but shake like a leaf in hurricane-force winds as she took each meek step.

Prometheus 21
Early in the Prometheus 20's mission, before his 'accident,' Jones had made a fuss, asking questions about exposure levels and radiation poisoning. Then Jones lost his right arm on one of the larger exterior service armatures and bleed to death in space. After that no one asked any more questions about radiation levels. We aren't near any major stars at the moment but as the eggheads seem to think, most of space is just filled with radiation. Most of it was just remnants from the Big Bang. I'm just a grunt, I don't know about any of that. I just load, unload, and maintain. Lather, rinse, repeat. Day after day after day.

Faustian Novela
Books, stories, short stories. The one thing they all have in common is that everyone gets something different out of the story. One person may experience an escape from reality, another may get the idea for a new invention. Others learn that their view of the world is from a biased perspective, and still others come away with nothing at all. Then there's me.
