Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Things to come
"You're on air on 5! Quiet on set!" She nervously takes a long breath and looks straight at the camera for a final focus check. "3...2..1..." A bright, red light on camera #2 comes to life while the director waves his hands like an orchestra conductor at the news anchor. "Welcome to WRA news with your host, Clarisse Moore."

The House on Marlow Lane
There stands a house on Marlow Lane. In this house lives a deafening sense of silence. It’s tucked away so tightly amongst the great oaken trees it was built within that no sound, nor wind, nor creature of earth or sky dare to trespass. The wind chimes on the porch no longer sing, the wooden floors no longer creak, and the grandfather clock on the second floor landing sits quietly alone. Forever frozen at 3:03pm. The house has never seen a murder, nor was it born on sacred ground. No curse was ever laid on the clay below, no ritual ever desecrated its heart. Opposite of this fact, no children have ever laughed in its homely halls, no Christmas gatherings were ever made into memory in its grand living room. For you see, the house died long ago, breathing life no more and never again.

Disappeared
Gone: The Willis Family Disappears The Willis family was a mysterious lot they appeared to be very well off financially however had no manners and were totally self-absorbed. Martha (mom) was very stylish and the way she wore clothing you would think she was a fashion model. Henry (dad) was athletic looking and it was rumored he played football in college. Taddie (girl about 15) was lanky, very awkward and looked very masculine. You could see her chasing after insects, frogs and other creatures trying to catch them all the time. Why, no one seem to know. Shane (boy about 17) was extremely handsome and was out about town on his motorcycle until all times of the night.

Hilltop
The sky is dreary today. No discernable clouds, the whole sky is just a blanket of grey. I can see past the branches in the trees above me, the edge of the forest directly in my eyeline. It’s cold today. I thought today was the coldest day of the year so far but apparently it’s not. I can’t hear much of anything past the breeze and the waving branches above. There’s a muffled sloshing I think I can attribute to tilting my head too much in the shower. But I can still hear the breeze. There’s some laughter or maybe shouting in the distance, but it all blends.

The Carlisle Sisters
When my sister Angelique fell ill, I immediately took on the role of her caretaker. Ever since our parents died seven years ago, she and I had lived together in the family manor. Through our hearty inheritance we were able to keep on the cook, housekeeper, and groundskeeper. Our housekeeper Alice was a sweet older woman who offered to tend to Angelique once it was clear her illness was not leaving quickly. But Angelique was mine to care for and I informed Alice that she needn’t worry about anything other than the housekeeping.

its just a Horsefly: chapter 3
Viviann walked through the white void, the bodies of thousands being yanked past her. She looked around the oddly familiar white, as though she'd been there before. The sound of skittering feet came towards her as she looked around the void.

Shadow City
Day 63. I can't sleep, the light from the sun is too bright today. I've been wondering these plains for weeks, maybe months now. I've lost track of time for a while everything is starting to run together. Food is getting scarce, I killed another field rat last night for food. I've been staying outside, my backpack and clothes have been shredded by the wind and rocks. My skin is flaking away and most days I can hardly walk due to my feet being too sunburned. I don't know where I'm going, I told myself I was headed west but I have to be deluding myself. Sun kills, flies kill, I will never reach that city.

J A I L E D
It all started when I was supposed to work from 5 pm to 12 am on a Friday night, but then 20 minutes before the end of my shift, my coworker texted me. Lindsey; Hey, Jessi! I was wondering if you could stay at work until 12:30 because there’s some issues in my neighborhood right now. I might come in a little before that time but just let me know if you could fill in for me for 30 extra mins pls!.
