A Little Spill of Blood
A girl in her young adult years stalked the darkness. Her hood loomed over her face, as she slunk silently in the black empty streets. Bounding up the side of the building she jumped up, passing the last few rungs of the ladder and flung herself to the opposite side of the building's roof. “Are you there? Yes, of course he is. Why would anyone miss an opportunity for a free woman?” She glared watching her prey: a woman crossing the road laughing and giggling like a child. Tripping up the curb, they chuckled and fell into the building the girl watched from. Waiting a few moments, she slunk back to the ladder and sought out her victim.

Family Man
The black ink blotches fall on the thin paper from the crushed pen in my hand. This is the hand that is a part of the problem; a roadblock is what it also could be called. Whatever I call the problem, I still suffer from it and have become uncontrollable lately. When I was out with the family, I had a sudden urge to grab my wife by the neck. When we were walking with each other as the kids ran ahead of us, I saw her neck. I wanted to do something, then later today it was worse. My wife had brought an idea to my attention, to go out and have dinner without the children. If we were to go out and have a little fun, then that would relieve some stress the kids have given us. We have twins, they both are the age of seven, both boys, and they are robustious. Thankfully they exist actually, because if they weren't born, I would have done something to their mother. I wish I didn't have this inside me to force me to do horrible things. Accepting her offer, we went out with no children to run around with toy planes in hand. We had a refuge from everything, from crying to stomping at the restaurant. Still, I have a problem, a problem I cannot control; when I get the urge, I go to the restroom or somewhere so I won't expose myself. Luckily, when we were out, I wasn't suspicious when I went to the restroom.

The Beast
(WARNING: Blood/Gore, Strong Language, and some sexual suggestiveness.) “Ready!... set!... HUT!!” The ball flew behind the center as I raced and crashed into the offensive line of the opposing team. Going for the quarterback. My eyes were trained on him as he tried to dodge and weave out of my direction of approach. I nailed him in the chest and he went tumbling down with the ball. I sacked him. I sacked the quarterback! The game was near its end and... we won! We won our homecoming game. The crowds cheered my name and the team lifted me up, hugging and laughing along as they tallied two more players to come over with a huge bucket of ice water and dump it over myself and the head coach's head for the big win of the year. It was a huge night for all of us. Including myself. I couldn’t stop smiling as the buzzer was ringing to end the game. Everyone was cheering and yelling from the ground to the bleachers.

Cows
I awoke on a farm. I laid on a wooden floor inside a barn, looking toward two big, open doors that revealed light and fluffy green grass being grazed upon by the cows roaming the field. A light breeze passed through my face and something felt different. The way the air moved over my head and my face. I sat up and ran my fingers over my head and much to my dismay, felt short, buzzed hair. Where is my hair... I trembled and cried into my hands. This must be a dream.

The White Abyss
One month later The morning sunlight pierced through the window shades and a beam of light hit Jacob in the face from his twin bed he was sound asleep on. It woke him. Stretching out his arms and legs, he began to make his way from laying down to sitting up in the side of the bed. Jerry was still sound asleep in the bed next to him. ‘Breakfast’ Jacob made his way down to the kitchen and began slowly preparing their morning meal. The cabin was eerie and quiet this morning. But that didn’t seem to bother Jacob in the slightest. His main concern was trying to wake up. Thinking that this Ice Doom was all a dream in his mind. But he kept to his sanity and wandered into the living room with a glass of orange juice in his hand.

The White Abyss (Prologue)
The White Abyss: By : Jake James Morris Smith Jr. <BREAKING NEWS> “After several of our international meteorologists and geologist observing the Arctic Circle for several months. They have confirmed that the Glacier movements and catatonic chain reactions of pressure in the atmosphere have caused a massive cold front to cast across the northern half of the Globe. Now it’s predicted the ice cap to expand at a rapid rate. We urge you all to stay within the city limits or areas that you are currently living within and gather as much needed resources and material. They have predicted a long outcome of this ice affect to take place. This isn’t your typical snowy blizzard. This...this a cataclysmic ‘Ice Age’ that put most of the dinosaurs to death. The predicted time of the events to start are within a few weeks. The Canada sectors are already showing signs of the ‘Ice Age’ like effects taking its role. I repeat; gather as much material and resources as needed....We are beginning to be evacuated from this building now. This concludes the emergency broadcasting system....Stay safe and stay warm out there everyone.....God help us all..

A Deep Slumber
I woke up with a startle, the dreadful nightmare had my insides churning, and I was panting as if I’d just seen a ghost. I tried adjusting to the darkness, but why was it dark, wasn’t it supposed to be morning by this time. I squinted my eyes to look at my watch, it displayed 11:00 AM, then why was it so dark, I wondered. Why did the bed feel so hard instead of being its own plushie self? I looked down and I noticed that I was on the floor. Oh God, how could someone be so stupid as to fall off the bed and not even know how and when they fell? I tried getting up from the floor, but suddenly a sharp pain shot up my leg and I went crashing down towards the floor. I squinted my eyes to see clearer, this place certainly didn’t look like my bedroom. As I realized I was not in my bedroom, panic and anxiety gripped me, engulfing me in like a forest fire. This seemed so similar to the last encounter I had, which had left me scarred for life.
