fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
The Lady of Rust
- The story of a town you should not visit - As far as myths and legends go, it is undeniable that people are attracted to fear. The sensation of adrenaline coursing through the veins, provoked by the thought of miserable failure. More often than naught, it is the image of grazing the hands of the reaper, the most frightening occurrence of the mind.

The Face
He always said his blood was full of stars. Maybe it would explain the cold. Maybe it would explain what happened after he died, because he’d always been curious, and he’d always been mildly terrified of the vast, endless void of sheer, unadulterated uncertainty. When his brain stopped firing off those synapses, those sparks of biological electricity that had never made much sense to him, what would become of his soul? When his blood spilled out onto the ground and seeped deep into the earth’s flesh, where particles of his DNA would forever remain and inevitably immortalize him, would he become the stars inside his veins? Or would he just... stop..?

Hail to the King
Jonathan’s heart thumped as he hung up the phone. He scanned through the email again. The cat was rubbing around his feet purring, hoping for a feed no doubt. The birds had awoken in full song as dawn threatened to illuminate the stillness outside. But bugger the hour, it didn’t matter. He scraped the wooden chair across the tiled floor. He didn’t take his eyes of the email. He sat, and scanned every word again, blinking in disbelief.

Ghosts of Life
The day looked as I felt when I traveled to stay with my aunt in the country. “For the fresh air” I had told her when I wrote to her two months before. As I drew up to her house in the cab she had sent for me, I almost felt a flash of relief. Almost. Aunt Rebecca’s house is what one would call a “stately chateau”. I didn’t care how big her house was, the premise was and would stay “fresh air”. The downpour had ceased during the drive, and so I entered Aunt Rebecca’s house only damp.

Virus APFFF
All you hear about on the news today is the Coronavirus and how bad it's getting. You hear about the quarantine and the rising number of the infected and deaths. What the media isn't telling you is the real ground zero, where the virus really originated from.

Surviving the End
Day 10 after the fatal day: Chris and I start noticing the rumors... They seem to be accurate, before the bombing we heard that if this was to happen, if this chemical warfare shit was true. By day 9 the people that were dead which was nearly everybody I knew would start moving limbs 1 by 1. I don’t know what is happening, I’m scared. Me and my brother both.

Speakeasy Nights
How to let go, to hold on?... Trust in some kind of pivot. Spilled milk sours... Today something new . The morning or night required some inspiration. Those long curtains in front of that massive bay window looking out over the entire city had not opened since the day Dani shut down. A very accomplished “Dj Dani” know to the rest of the world. More than a bit of a shut in these days though. Music was important ,there was a commitment to always having the best soundtrack. Dani ruled The Speakeasy nights!

It’s Nothing Personal
“It’s nothing personal — purely a business decision.” Dante Diavolo paused to observe Robert’s reaction. Though mild-mannered, Robert Decker was a big man at six foot three and 240 lbs. “Bob, I do appreciate the many years you have served the company.”
