Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Sirloc
As she came into focus she stepped out of the trees and into full light of the moon. My eyes kept blinking and for some reason I found myself unable to move. She looks at me and then gives a slow downward nod. As her head comes up she makes eye contact again with me. "Who are you? And why are you here?" Trying to take another swallow to get my mouth wet and my tongue gets stuck to the roof of my mouth. But after fake chewing I can finally say "My name is Mathew but I usually go by the nick name Mat." "Now may I ask your name?" She blinks slowly and then I can hear her voice it's eerily comforting to me. "My name is Sirloc. But again why are you here?" Now putting my jacket on revealing my pistol in my belt line right by my belly button. She blinks once kind of faster this time than the last. "Well ma'am I am on a road trip to where ever the road may lead at the moment." She takes two steps closer to me and then lowers her veil or hood. "Listen to me you are not in a safe area, the danger has passed for the moment but it will return and I can see your not ready for it when it returns." Catching my attention with that statement. Looking in her eyes and dropping my arms to my sides. "So danger would be the people in the cars?" She takes another step toward me now only about ten feet away from me. "No, those are just people that can be animalistic in nature if you can understand that. But right now you really need to be worrying about the real, ancient, and pure evil." This really got my attention now. "So your saying there is something more dangerous than simply people as you put it." She nods at me and then asks, "So you do understand that their are things in this world that really can't make sense when told from ear to ear. If it's not a movie people seem not to believe it's even real."

Night and the owl
‘What could it bring?’ In the cold breeze of late hours, a shadowy figure thought to herself. The sun was just swallowed by the night sky, but the bloodstains of its disappearance were still painted across the indigo sky. One by one the echos of the worlds far away were lighting up in the darkening sky. A cold, thick mist was surrounding the lonely bonfire lit in the open jaws of the forest meadow. Frightening trees and their shadows were creeping closer and closer to the warmth of the fire, as the coldness of the rising moon shone on them.

The Return
The farm appeared overgrown—the place once a gold mine and riches for any man brave enough to climb the cliffs. John stood where his father once stood, a proud man who was hung for his gold. John stared at the wagon tracks that remained, deep ruts encrusted in weeds.

In Time
In the middle of a desert, there is a small bustling town where everybody knows everyone. Based in the early 20th century, poodle skirts and pastel colors are still very relevant. Everyone is in sync, everyone smiles, and everyone moves to the same score. A single woman is a pariah. Not the same- off by a hue, off by a note. The Woman cannot comprehend the town’s lifestyle and cannot sync to the values and understanding that they have. They laugh at her in a togetherness that mapped out how in sync they were. In the middle of a hot afternoon, she tripped. She had been looking at the sky wondering what it would be like to be elsewhere. Her feet tumbled over the other and she was spotted by a couple following their schedule. The woman took a stumble and was out of step. Out of measure. People noticed. Simultaneously they turned to laugh. Rage poured through her and she started to weep.

Summer '76
It was the last day of school and us seniors couldn’t be anymore riled up. The jocks filled the halls with their testosterone, the mean girls did their last walk in unison, and for the rest of us, it was the last time we had to come to this place. Tonight, the entire senior class was getting together to celebrate our freedom at Lookout Point. It will be a night to remember.

Last A Little Longer
Last A Litte Longer We had to escape. We had to leave but there was nowhere to go. This floor of the building was being remolded; it was nothing but empty space. The screams got louder and the dragging of feet. There were five of us. We frantically searched for an exit anything. I looked up then ran to the side and began yanking cabinets to the center of the floor. One man noticed what I was desperately doing and knocked out his daze stumbled to help me.
