fiction
Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
Queen of Demons
Many people speak about fear. They don’t know anything about it. If there is anyone or anything to fear it is a foul and sadistic creature that goes by the name, Gorea. This sinister being isn’t just your run-of-the-mill bad spirit. She is the Queen of Demons that is often summoned through blood magic, sacrificial offerings and Oujia boards. Sometimes even all of those combined. This is the story of how three kindly yet unsuspecting nurses come to meet her wrath.

Permanent
It arrived one day with the rest of the mail. Bills, a magazine for LL Bean, and the notebook. Tucker brought it in and tossed the pile carelessly onto the kitchen table. We rarely opened the mail anymore, so it quickly got buried under a newspaper, Ella’s abandoned homework, and – I’m ashamed to admit – a decent amount of crumbs.

The Lonesome Ocean
WARNING: Gore I stare up at him in awe while but inches beneath the water, his image is disfigured by the waves and ripples, but in my mind, I can picture his beauty. I see his curly brown hair soaking up the ocean spray and his gloomy brown eyes sparkling in the sunlight. Captain of a crew he is; Captain of a ship. He is a sailor, and a good one, but while his dark and weary vessel sails calmly among the waters toward our island, he is ignorant to the treachery that lies ahead.

War Pork
The pork was the only way we survived those last few days before the soldiers from the west arrived. Momma said it was better the soldiers from the west arrived and not the bad soldiers from the east. She said they didn’t have any dignity. I don’t know what dignity is, but Inge said the soldiers from the east were raping all the women. I know what that means.

The Towns Haunted House
Every small town has that one “haunted” house that kids circulate scary stories about for generations. Our town has one that used to be an asylum, so you can guess some of the stories that have emerged. It had also become like a right of passage that groups of brave (or stupid, depending on how you look at these things) kids had to spend an hour alone in a room of the once grand Victorian home.

Penance
"Did you honestly think you could run away?" Kriven looks down at me in contempt. I smirk up at him and spit blood out on his shoe. There is no way I am going to let him see my fear, to do that would be like waving a steak in front of a hungry wolf. I just need to hold on a little bit longer.

Stronger, Smarter, Wealthier
Woke up in a bathroom stall again. Every day is the same. My so-called “friends” were the top-ranking students in schools, and I was always below them. They will take me to the bathroom after lunch and use me as a punching bag for their “entertainment” and relief their stress from studying. During the rain, it gets worse because they are not able to go outside.
