Scary Stories for a Dark Summer's Night

My First Long Form Audio Horror Compliation

I love listening to stories and podcast so I thought, why not make my own? I took some of my best narrated tales and combined them into a serene, summer night with crickets and cicadas chirping in the background, to help you relax.

Warning, this post has some spoliers about the stories!!

1. "Not Afaird"

This is a short tale inspired by our fears and the way we project them. The monster in this tale can read your greasest fear and turn into it. Scary right?

2. "Andrea is Calling"

What if the friend calling you wasn't your friend? Creatures like Black Eyed Children, Mimics, and Wendigos, inspired this audio horror where the main character slowly realizes something is very different and wrong about their friend as they talk on the phone.

3. "A Glance Back"

Many of the characters in my stories are Black/African-American and this tale is based around the fears people may have around a Black person when being around them at night, except the twist is, they arne't the one you should be running from...

4. "AZNM"

Pronounced "AZIM," this is a scary, demonic, Valentine's story. It is defnitely part comedy, just a tad, as our main character conducts a dark ritual and uses a ouija board to talk to her one-sided love--a demon.

I thought the scenario of a Human being in love with the demon would be a funny, yet horrifying twist.

5. "Black Glass"

This was one of my favorite's to write because it is based on the draining life of an office worker, a life I know all too well. I bring the "draining" to life, as our main character breaks the wall of reality to find that the office building is alive and sucking the life right out of their bodies.

The workers are slaves to this alien force that brainwashes them and hides the truth of their reality. Office horror is def a fun genre for me.

6. "A Crooked Story"

This is a lyrical horror story in the form of a poem! Original released for Halloween, it is my take on the Crooked Man. This story follows Jerry Edmond, unveiling the tragic events that led to the murder of his wife, umborn child, dog and himself.

7. "Pregnasis INC"

A SciFi horror story! One of the very first that I wrote. Pregnasis is a company in the story that uses Human women for alien birth--surrogates. But, there is an even deeper and darker secret to this company. What would you do for money?

8. "Earwax"

Based on somewhat a true occurence, "Earwax" makes me shiver. This dark tale is very psychological. The main character is on the verge of a mental breakdown as they recall some of their horrendous deeds as a child.

I wanted to capture the fear of tiny bugs and other things that may get trapped in your ear. Makes my skin crawl for sure! Heard of that spider that crawled into a guy's ear? yeah, its real. Listen to this one if you dare!

9. "The Initiate"

One of my best videos and stories! The Initiate is embededd in a series about L.A traffic. This radio show seems benign till a caller comes on and begins to talk about their horrifying travels through the dead of night.

I love how I narrated and presented this story. The Initiate is also part of a larger verse where these cult killers hunt their victims for their dark god, The Beast Below.

10. "A Bride Waits Dreaming"

Poetry again! But presented in a cult gathering horror story where at the end, you get a special surprise visit from Cthulu himself~

This poem was my nod to HP Lovecraft.

11. "Slippers"

One of my most popualr stories is a flash fiction piece about the fear of putting on slippers or shoes that have been sitting for a while. Y'all ever wonder if a spider or bug in there? I do and I channel that fear right into this short and gripping story.

12. "The Well" Feat. Mistress of Creepypasta

Pure audio horror. This story was the first of its kind for me because it is completely audio focused and audio dependant for its ambience and horror effects. I don't tell you with words, I let you hear it. Only dialogue is spoken in this story, no descriptive words are used to paint the scene for you, its all heard and imagined. This is what sets this story apart from all my other works!

This audio horror tale is also featuring Mistress of Creepypasta so go check it out! The premise of this story is a child is stuck in a well and you can hear them crying. Will you help them out?...

13. "Sharp"

Another horror story born from L.A traffic. This was a fun and brutal one to write. It channels the madness and road rage L.A drivers feel in this short, flash fiction story where the main character let's you know exactly how they feel about being cut off.

14. "Dybbuk Box"

This short and scary piece of micro fiction is about a music box that is actually a dybbuk box, a spirtual box in Jewish mythology that can hold dark or evil spirits. Will you open it?

15. "Chain Letter" feat Somberreads

This story was one of the first I ever got published! Once I got rights back, I created an audio version of this tale!

It's based on chain letters of course and focusing on a Black main character that seemingly begins to lose his mind in his own apartment, trapped by his own fear and relunctance to rejoin society.

16. "I Wish to Rest, O' Let it Be Night"

Another lyrical piece. This whole story reads like poetry, 8 minutes of Poe inspired darkness as we listen to the protagonist reveal just how villainous love has made them.

Unrequited love as a loteraly night hag and monster. Dark obsession...is all just a dream?

17. "The Virgin Sarah"

The very last story is a Christmas horror tale. I know, right? I loved this one because it is my very first Christmas short horror story.

This was inspired by the virgin Mary and immaculate ocnception. I find it a bit creepy so I wanted to play on some of the darker rituals and aspects of what Christmas could be while still keeping that religious tone.

Follow the devout Sarah, and her helper Job, through dark caves and trials as she tries to complete her holy mission.

If you listened to this video, thank you! Tell em what you think of these stories.
