River Ghost story
There are many legends and stories about river ghosts, but here is one popular tale:
In a small village nestled by a river, there was a beautiful woman named Mei. She was known for her striking looks and kind heart, but she was also rumored to have a mysterious aura about her. Some even believed that she had the power to communicate with spirits.
One day, a group of young men from the village went out fishing on the river. As they were rowing along, they saw Mei standing by the water's edge, looking out into the distance. Intrigued, they rowed closer to her and struck up a conversation. Mei was friendly and hospitable, and she even offered to cook them some fish if they caught any.
As the sun began to set, the young men bid Mei farewell and rowed back to the village with their catch. But as they were walking back to their homes, they heard a faint voice calling out to them. They turned around and saw Mei standing on the opposite side of the river, beckoning to them.
Confused, the young men called out to Mei, asking her why she was calling to them from across the river. But as they spoke, they realized that Mei's voice was getting louder and closer, even though she wasn't moving. Suddenly, they saw a dark figure emerging from the water, with Mei's voice emanating from it.
The young men were horrified to realize that they were in the presence of a river ghost, a vengeful spirit that haunted the waters. The ghost spoke in Mei's voice, warning them to never come near the river again or face the same fate as she did. The young men fled in terror, and from that day on, they avoided the river at all costs.
Legend has it that Mei had drowned in the river many years ago, and her spirit had been trapped there ever since. The river ghost of Mei was said to have continued haunting the waters, warning anyone who dared to come too close to the river of the danger that lay ahead.

River Ghost 2
Here is another story about a river ghost:
In a small town nestled by a winding river, there was a legend of a mysterious ghost that haunted the waters. According to the townspeople, the ghost was once a young woman who drowned in the river many years ago. Her spirit was said to have never left the river, and she would appear to anyone who came near the water's edge.
One summer evening, a group of teenagers decided to go for a swim in the river. They laughed and splashed around in the cool water, unaware of the danger that lurked beneath the surface. As they were swimming, one of the teenagers suddenly disappeared underwater. His friends panicked and searched frantically for him, but he was nowhere to be found.
Suddenly, they heard a haunting voice coming from the water, warning them to leave the river before it was too late. Terrified, the teenagers ran back to the safety of the town, vowing never to go near the river again.
The next day, the townspeople discovered the body of the missing teenager washed up on the riverbank. They believed that the river ghost had claimed yet another victim.
From that day on, the legend of the river ghost grew even stronger. Some believed that the ghost was a warning to those who dared to disobey the rules of the river, while others believed that the ghost was a vengeful spirit seeking revenge on those who dared to enter her domain.
