A Thrilling Ghost Story

By Thamizh ThendralPublished 3 years ago 6 min read

Meera had always been a bit of a nonconformer. She was an only child, and her parents were frequently too busy with work to spend important time with her. As a result, she spent a lot of time by herself, wandering through the forestland behind her house or reading books in her bedroom. But one day, everything changed. Meera was walking through the forestland when she saw a figure in the distance.

At first, she allowed it was another person, but as she got closer, she realized that it was commodity additional entirely. It was a ghost. The ghost was transparent and shimmering, with a faint gleam around it. Meera felt a bite run down her chine as she looked at it, but she could not tear her eyes down. It was like nothing she had ever seen ahead. As she watched, the ghost began to speak. Its voice was faint and ethereal, like the tale of the wind.

" Hello, Meera," it said." My name is Sophia. I have been watching you for a long time now, and I suppose we could be musketeers." Meera was alarmed, but also curious. She had noway had a friend before, much less a ghost friend. And so, she tentatively reached out her hand. To her surprise, the ghost took it. Its hand was cold and insubstantial, but Meera felt a jolt of electricity shoot through her body as they touched. From that moment on, Meera and Sophia were thick. Sophia would visit her every day, and they would talk for hours about everything and nothing. Sophia told Meera about her life as a ghost, and Meera told Sophia about her life as a lonely girl.

At first, Meera's parents did not believe her when she told them about Sophia. They allowed she was just making it up, or that she had an imaginary friend. But also, strange effects began to be. Objects would move on their own, doors would open and close, and creepy whispers could be heard late at night. Meera's parents were scarified, but Meera was not hysterical . She knew that Sophia was responsible, and she did not want her to go down.

As time went on, Meera began to realize that Sophia was not like other ghosts. She did not feel to want to scarify anyone or beget detriment. In fact, she sounded to be helping Meera and her family, guarding them from unseen troubles. Meera did not know how or why Sophia was suitable to do this, but she did not watch. She was just happy to have a friend who understood her, and who made her feel less alone in the world. But one day, everything changed again. Meera woke up in the middle of the night to find Sophia swimming over her bed. She was glowing brighter than ever ahead, and her eyes were fixed on commodity in the corner of the room.

Meera followed her aspect and saw a dark, shadowy figure lurking in the murk. She could not make out its features, but she could smell its malignant intent. Sophia turned to her and spoke in a critical tale." Meera, hear to me. You have to leave this house. You have to get as far down as you can. Take your parents and run." Meera was confused and alarmed." What is passing?" she asked." Who's that?" Sophia did not answer. She just kept repeating her warning, more urgently each time. Meera did not know what to do, but she trusted Sophia. She snappily got out of bed and shook her parents awake. " We've to go!" she yelled." We've to leave now!" Her parents were disoriented and swimmy, but they could smell the urgency in Meera's voice. They snappily got out of bed and followed her out of the house. As they ran outdoors, they saw the shadowy figure sluggishly approaching them. It was like nothing they had ever seen ahead, a swirling mass of darkness that sounded to consume everything in its path.

They ran as presto as they could, but the figure was gaining on them. Meera felt a swell of fear in her casket, but she knew she could not give up. " Keep going!" she cried to her parents." We can not stop now!" They ran for what felt like hours, until they eventually stumbled upon a small cabin in the forestland. It was old and run- down, but it was better than nothing. They snappily made their way outside and locked the door behind them. Meera collapsed onto the bottom, panting and sweating. " What was that thing?" she heaved . Sophia appeared beside her, looking as calm and collected as ever. " That was a demon," she said simply." It's been following you for a while now. I have been trying to cover you, but I could not do it alone."

Meera was shocked. She had heard of demons before, but she noway allowed she'd actually encounter one. " What do we do now?" she asked. Sophia looked at her with a soberness that Meera had noway seen ahead. " We've to fight it," she said." We can not let it win." Meera did not know how to fight a demon, but she knew she could not just sit back and let it take over her life. She took a deep breath and stood up. " Okay," she said." Let's do this." Sophia and Meera spent the coming many hours preparing for the fight of their lives. They gathered munitions and inventories, and bandied their plan of attack. When the demon eventually arrived, they were ready. The fight was violent and challenging. The demon was important, and it sounded to have an endless force of dark energy.

But Sophia and Meera were determined to win. They fought with all their might, using everything they had at their disposal. It was a long and brutal battle, but in the end, they surfaced victorious. The demon was banished back to the demiworld, and Meera and her family were safe formerly again.

As they sat in the cabin, catching their breath and trying to reuse what had just happed, Meera felt a deep sense of gratefulness towards Sophia. Without her, she noway would have made it through. " Thank you," she said to her ghostly friend." Thank you for everything." Sophia smiled, her face glowing with a soft, warm light. " You are welcome," she said." I will always be then for you, no matter what." And with those words, Meera knew that she had a true friend for life, a friend who would noway leave her side, indeed in the face of the darkest and scariest effects the world had to offer. As the sun began to rise, Meera and her family left the cabin and made their way back to their home.

The world looked different to Meera now; she had seen effects that she noway allowed were possible, and she had a new appreciation for the power of the supernatural. Over the coming many days, Meera spent a lot of time with Sophia, asking her questions and learning further about the spirit world. She discovered that there were numerous different kinds of ghosts and spirits, and that they could be both helpful and dangerous to humans. But utmost of all, Meera learned that she had a unique gift – the capability to communicate with the dead. With Sophia's guidance, she began to hone her chops and learn how to control her capacities.

As the weeks went by, Meera began to smell the presence of other ghosts around her. Some were friendly, like Sophia, while others were malignant and dangerous. But she was no longer hysterical ; she knew that she had the power to cover herself and those she watched about. Times went by, and Meera grew up to be a successful pen, notorious for her ghost stories and supernatural suspensers. But she noway forgot the assignments she had learned as a child, and she always kept a vigilant eye out for any signs of peril. And no matter where life took her, she always knew that Sophia was there, watching over her and guiding her from the other side.

The end.
