Losing Myself in the Dark: How I Found My Way Back
A journey through confusion and self-discovery, finding hope in the darkest moments.

A soul lost in the dark—when you hear this, it feels like someone is stuck in a deep darkness, pathless, hopeless. But the funny thing is, in this darkness, we often lose the people closest to us. That happened to me once.
Remember that time? When everything in life seemed to have come to a complete standstill. The days were spent in the same routine—work, time, family. But I felt like I was stuck behind an invisible wall. I was so worried about small things that I didn't even have time to talk to myself. One day a friend said, "Have you ever talked to yourself? Sometimes listening to yourself makes a lot of things clear." I laughed and said, "What kind of talk is that!" But in fact, I didn't realize then that I was alone in that darkness. It took time to find myself, to feel my feelings again. Courage too.
Every time I was lost in the darkness, I felt like I would never come back. The path of life, where I once walked with so much confidence, seemed to have disappeared. But right then, I realized—there was a glimmer of hope within this darkness—maybe very slowly, but it was there.
Life is like that, isn't it? At times, we find ourselves in a place where nothing is clear. Wrong decisions, difficulties, or complex relationship push us into darkness, butt this darkness becomes our greatest lesson.
I remember once. One night, I was walking alone, with many thoughts running through my mind. I argued with a friend, a very simple matter, but it seemed like a mountain had formed in my mind. As I was walking, I suddenly felt like I had gone to a completely unknown place. I was walking alone on a dark road, and it seemed like many things in life were being lost. Everything was silent, but terrifying. Just then, a cold wind hit me, and I realized—this darkness, this feeling of being lost, there was an opportunity to learn something new hidden within it.
A soul lost in darkness—what is it really? Everyone around us may be smiling, some are very happy. But when we are lost within ourselves, we realize that true peace actually lies within us. It takes time to understand this, of course. But when we understand, we realize—our answers are hidden within this darkness.
Rather than getting lost in darkness, accepting that darkness is actually more powerful. Because, from there, we start anew. We find ourselves a new.
