Review of 'Sharp Objects' 1 and 2
Catching up with the first two episodes of Sharp Objects, the limited summer series on HBO. It's distantly reminiscent of True Detective and Broadchurch, with a little Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and even "Eleanor Rigby" thrown in (one of the victims had a spider which she kept "in a jar by the door").

Fascination of Horror
Growing up, I always had this love for the horror genre. I've watched movies like The Evil Dead, IT (1990), Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street; and played games like Resident Evil, Until Dawn, Outlast, The Evil Within, and Dead Space (many of these are franchises). Horror will always have a place in my heart because of the many beautys it has. It might seem a bit taboo that I see horror movies as beautiful because it's suppose to be the exact opposite of beautiful, but I digress. Overall, the horror genre might seem a bit stale but just read long enough and I might convince you that there are more to horror movies than blood and guts.

Top 10 Blogs & Websites for Horror Fans
Horror is one of those genres that people get obsessed with, big time. You can usually tell a horror fan right off the bat, because they will be the ones who suggest you buy them creepy gifts or insist on talking about Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. More often than not, they are pretty obsessive about it.

Loving the Loveless
May 13, 2013 at 12:00pm Downtown, Charleston, SC Sebastian Kane It was raining again but that didn't really matter much to him. He didn't need the weather clear and pristine to do his work, in fact he preferred when it wasn't nice out. Less people were looking where they shouldn't when they had to avoid splashing puddles and pouring rain and speeding cars.

That One Dream
It was windy. Twenty-three degrees on my weather app and just perfect weather to walk outside considering how hot and humid the past few days were. It was just another regular day. I started by making myself a cup of coffee with a smoke on the balcony accompanied by gushes of cool wind. I did what I usually do, which is plan the rest of my day in my head and stick to the schedule. But today was going to be different.

The Little Boy Who Wasn't & the Ghost in the Machine
Preface: Most, if not all of us are familiar with the paranormal in one form or another. It's one of the few things in this world that are cut and dry: you either believe OR you don't. You've had an experience OR you haven't. I respect a skeptic, I honestly do. However, I believe skeptics exist due in part to the fact that they haven't been open to having the experience. Now, some of you are probably thinking, "But Reigny, how can you be open to something you don't believe in?" To that I would say, being open to something and believing it are two different things.

Infested
Simon awakes. His eyelids slowly blinking open. He tilts his head to the right, his alarm clock flips from 8:12 am to 8:13 am. He swivels his head to his left half expecting to be surprised to see a young beautiful woman next to him, it's just his pillow. He looks up at his ceiling staring blankly at nothing. It's an hour earlier than he usually gets up, but he's up. Simon lifts himself out of bed and sluggishly totters his thin wiry frame to his bathroom, running his fingers through his short hair and it's forty-years of wear and tear. He flicks the light on, stretching his arms out wide as he yawns. He looks in the mirror, rubbing his pear shaped chin.

Haunted
It was so quiet in my darkened hotel room, which was odd, since the Vegas lights were still gleaming through the cracks of the heavy curtains covering the giant window. I was only here for a work conference, so no real time to play in the lively city. I began dozing off into my soft mass of pillows. The digital clock glowed gently… It was already midnight. I yawned and closed my heavy eyelids. Darkness engulfed my vision, and sleep took over. I began to dream of a fantastical world of dragons and wizards, with vast lands to explore. My dreams, being almost always lucid, gave me free reign to do as I pleased; however, I began to lose control. I could feel myself struggling to breathe as a dark presence came over my dream world. I looked around me, and somehow I was surrounded by water… drowning. I had to force myself awake, gasping for air. I looked over at the clock, now glowing 2:30 AM.
