Inside Islamabad’s Most Haunted House: Where Power, Mystery, and Shadows Collide
A government-owned prime property with a chilling history of paranormal activity, unexplained deaths, and secrets that refuse to stay buried.

Nobody would want to live there; even the most powerful officials and jurists left after only a few months. Underneath this government-owned property lies a terrible history. Situated in the posh F-7/4 area of Islamabad. Screams echo in empty rooms; photos emerge on patios subsequently. Individuals who come claim they witness beings that should not be present. Families have set up home for almost 60 years, then run in terror. Still speaking stories not forgotten many years afterwards, its design whispers.
The Birth of a Prime Property
Islamabad first started to grow its capital in 1965. East Pakistan CSS officer young couple chose to build their house in what was then thought one of the city's Most sought-after sites: F-7/4. One side faced the Margalla Hills, while the other looked towards what would later be known as Islamabad's Blue Area, revealing breathtaking beauty.
The pair finally settled after many years of construction. Until the fall of Dhaka in 1971 forced them to leave, their life were quiet. The Pakistani government took over the land shortly thereafter. This set off a series of odd and terrifying events that would torment every family that dared to live there.
Families Came, Families Fled
The house was soon passed on to another well-known government family. Initially, everything seemed to be perfect, but shortly after, the home help —several of whom had labored for the prior occupants— started behaving strangely. Started relaying strange events: sounds like footsteps outside their room at night, doors that opened by themselves, shifts in the placing the distinctive sound of whatever is being pulled along with the furnishings.
Then, the main family started to have these incidents as well. Sleeping on the ground floor, the middle-aged son grew bored of being in his room. He said that sometimes he sensed an invisible force moving around him and observed a dark shape close to the entryway of the balcony. Once head-on approached the shadow, it quickly pierced the barriers when he attempted to meet it. The family was so scared that they left right after this incident.
Horror Intensified
Another well-known family moved into the neighborhood during the 1980s. Now affecting their children, the circumstances got worse. One night at around 3 a.m., a terrible shriek broke the family's quiet. Running upstairs, the parents found their son sobbing incessantly. Opening the balcony door, he saw a woman seated in a tree nearby, her mouth bleeding and clutching fresh meat. with a cat in the other and one in my left hand.
In panic, he returned inside and saw the same silhouette on his bed. The parents saw the deformed cat, as he had portrayed, with bloody paw prints going from the bed to the ceiling and walls. Terrified, the family reached out to a well-known spiritual healer; but even he was powerless to quiet the haunting entity.
Whispers from Across the Street
The terrible Noor Mukadam case shook Islamabad in February 2022. As media crews flooded the scene, a journalist witnessed the notorious Opposite residence. The security guard, who had worked here for over two decades, casually discussed its reputation for being haunted — "This is the Prominent people have called this home, but no one stays here for long. It's the abode of jinn.
Ministers, judges, and officials have reportedly all lived in the home, but none has stayed longer than a few months. Though the house has undergone recent upgrades, the present renter and his family have chosen not to move there. Fearful of the odd events, the household staff also avoid the secluded areas.
A House That Refuses to Rest
The home is still considered as a priceless asset in Islamabad today. Still, it is empty, with the ruins of the past. Near neighbors report hearing weeping, wailing, and the sound of footsteps throughout the night. Figures are seen on the roof and balcony, as though the house itself requires attention.
Six decades after its construction, this property continues to represent a chilling reminder that some places are never utterly abandoned—for they Something else has already hijacked me.
