"There was only one rule: don’t open the door.” I am Wednesday's child.
I watched and listened as they chanted the old rhyme:
Monday's child is Fair of face... Tuesday's child is Full of grace
Wednesday's child is Full of woe...
Thursday's child: Has far to go... Friday's child is Loving and giving
Saturday's child: Works hard for a living...
But the Child born on a Sunday...Is Fair and wise, good and gay...

"Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday's child so filled with woe. Bet you dare not open that door". They sang.
The forbidden door in the old haunted mansion had not been opened for many years. Or so it has been said. It was a college tradition by Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority to do their unauthorized hazing rituals in the abandoned mansion. These young women were privileged, spoilt and accustomed to having things their own way.
I knew what was behind that door, the product of another era's cruel hazing on a long dead fraternity member who awaited revenge. She haunted the mansion, with screams so unholy that no one could live there and not go stark raving mad. I met her in my dreams, my ancestor, where she begged me to avenge her spirit and set her free.

Another of Wednesday's child wronged.
"Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday's child so filled with woe. Bet you dare not open that door". They sang.
The all gasped as I grasped the handle, stepping back a step as if by design. No one before had been able to open the door, it had been sealed shut.
Standing well out of sight of the entity behind the unopened door...I turned the handle...the door flew open with such force, I almost fell over.

Quickly, I stepped inside and closed the door.
Their screams will haunt me forever.

Seems there are bullies everywhere. Payback is a biatch. Last laugh and all that.
Whoaaaa, that was soo fast paced and intense! Loved it so much!
This was a superbly written and scary tale. Excellent premise for the challenge at hand. Your story is very well done, and I really enjoyed it.
