Once a thriving community, the village of Kuldhara in Rajasthan, India, now lies abandoned and haunted by the spirits of its past inhabitants. It is said that the village was cursed by the Paliwal Brahmins who lived there, and that they disappeared without a trace one night, leaving behind nothing but empty homes and an eerie silence.

The legend goes that in the 18th century, the Paliwal Brahmins were a prosperous and wealthy community, known for their business acumen and agricultural skills. However, the local ruler, Salim Singh, became jealous of their success and decided to impose heavy taxes on them. When the Paliwals protested, Salim Singh threatened to kidnap their womenfolk and force them into his harem.

Fearing for their safety, the Paliwals called a meeting and decided to leave the village together, taking all their belongings with them. They vowed never to return and cursed the village, so that anyone who tried to live there would suffer the same fate as them.

The curse of Kuldhara has become a popular legend in Rajasthan, and the abandoned village is now a tourist attraction for those who want to experience the supernatural. Locals believe that the ghosts of the Paliwal Brahmins still haunt the village, and that anyone who stays there after dark is likely to encounter them.

One such visitor was a young journalist named Rhea, who was fascinated by the legend of Kuldhara and decided to spend a night there to investigate the claims of paranormal activity. She arrived in the village late in the afternoon, accompanied by a local guide who was familiar with the area. As they walked through the deserted streets, Rhea felt a sense of unease, as if she was being watched by unseen eyes.

As the sun began to set, the guide advised Rhea to find a place to stay for the night, as it was not safe to wander around after dark. He warned her of the dangers of encountering the spirits of Kuldhara, who were known to be vengeful and unpredictable. However, Rhea was determined to stay in the village and experience the supernatural for herself.

She found a small house on the outskirts of the village, which appeared to be in better condition than the others. The guide warned her not to go inside, but Rhea was undeterred and entered the house, determined to spend the night there. As she lit a candle and sat down on the floor, she heard strange noises coming from outside, as if someone was walking around the house.

As the night wore on, Rhea became increasingly frightened, as she heard more and more noises and felt a cold breeze blowing through the house. She tried to calm herself down by reminding herself that it was just her imagination, but the sounds were too real to ignore. Finally, she heard a voice whisper her name, and she screamed in terror.

The guide, who had been waiting outside, heard her screams and rushed into the house. He found Rhea huddled in a corner, shaking with fear. She told him about the voice she had heard and the strange noises that had been haunting her all night. The guide shook his head sadly and told her that she should never have come to Kuldhara.

As they left the village the next morning, Rhea looked back at the empty homes and wondered about the fate of the Paliwal Brahmins. She knew that their curse was still alive and well, and that Kuldhara would continue to be haunted by their spirits for generations to come.

In the years that followed, more and more visitors came to Kuldhara, hoping to experience the supernatural. Some claimed to have seen ghostly apparitions walking through the village, while others reported hearing strange sounds and feeling a sense of dread.
