Netflix's latest teen fantasy romance from creator VE Schwab is based on the short story "First Kill" from the Vampires Never Age: Fresh Stories anthology series, executive produced by Emma Roberts. The First Kill is about two high school students at Lancaster Academy, Juliet Fairmont and Calliope Burns (vampire and ghost hunter, respectively) bump into each other and kiss.

Following the huge success of "Stopping Heart", "First Kill" adds some fantasy to the LGBTQ+ teen drama genre and tries to stop the heartbeat in a more realistic way. Did you complete it? It is when it comes to risks. In terms of popularity? Netflix's statistics also seem to reflect this. With over 30 million hours of viewing in its first week, "First Kill" ranked seventh on Netflix's global list of English-language programming and continues to be in the top ten in countries around the world.

The point of the series is that Juliet has to commit her first murder as a vampire. Juliet refuses to hurt anyone, let alone kill, and instead faces the physical consequences of doing so. If he does not eat, he develops migraine, dry throat and bleeding, among other symptoms. The more he resisted the first shot, the closer he was to despair, the more he was in danger of suffocating a relative with an insatiable thirst. Meanwhile, Calliope from the Monster Hunting Guild faces her own problem. He has yet to complete his first kill as a hunter, which limits him to newcomers to the group. Worse still, she drowned when she got a chance to score. His job is to prove himself to his family and the guild, but things get tough when they learn that Juliet and her family are right in front of their eyes.

If you're feeling Romeo and Juliet, you're not alone! The Shakespeare play plays like a school production, but it's hard to remember the big picture throughout the story. Get rid of the Montagues and Capulets and replace them with Fairmonts and Burns. While the series focuses on Juliet and Calliope as hapless lovers, it also deals with the impact their love has on the family. It seems that all is not fair in love and war. But don't worry, we still live with their shelter. The show is undeniably stylish; The costume department and set design do their best to give this classic story a modern appeal.

While reaching for the good feelings, "First Kill" delves into the emotional concepts and the two girls have their own problems. Calliope is faced with falling in love with a monster she's learned to hunt all her life. On the scale of monsters, vampires live in civil society, not out-of-control ghouls or demons. Does that make them more human or uglier? Instead, Juliet falls in love with a trained soldier whose mind is trained to kill herself and others like her. Both are probably not that different. On Juliet: "If you're a ghost hunter, your actions will turn you into a ghost." But will their love be able to withstand their deep convictions and family beliefs?

If you switch to another vampire story, you're entering a genre with a large number of loyal fans hungry for more content after the completion of 2012's The Twilight Saga movie and the final season of The Vampire Diaries in 2017. It could be argued that the warehouse is full and there is no room left for another old, vampire young lady. Netflix said no, and so did the fans. Everyone wants to hear the same thing: The First Kill returns with a second season. It's too early to tell if there will be a comeback, but I want to see what the stars will do for all of us after the end. Our two great heroes are the protagonists. The first season of

First Kill got off to a strong start. The show suffers a bit due to its weird and unrealistic CGI effects. I also think the acceleration could benefit from less than half an hour. That said, if you like some of the suspense in Riverdale, like the style of Vampire Academy and the family drama from The Vampire Diaries, I highly recommend checking out this new kid on the block. blocked!
