Dark scary story

Long ago, there was a little girl. She had long and messy curly hair, emerald eyes and freckles. She looked like a serious and mean kid, but when she smiled, everyone is filled with ease and comfort.

She had a best friend, the same age as her. She had green, mid-length hair and silver eyes. Her name was Yvette. She was a troublemaker, but her best friend, Star, always kept her in check. Many of the kids suspect they have feelings for each other since they were always around each other. Star told everyone that Yvette was like a sister to her.

Star went home after school to do her homework. Her father, Nathan, stood in the doorway of her room. She could sense he was there because out of her dad and her father, her father was the one that makes her feel off. He always had bad energy surrounding him. "Your dad wanted me to tell you that he is on his way." Star didn't respond. She focused on her homework, which she was almost finished with. Nathan glared at Star, marched over to her and grabbed a handful of her hair. Nathan also wore a serious and mean look on his face. He had red hair as well. He had brown eyes. "Ignoring me, huh?" He whispered, "What did I tell you about ignoring your elders?" Star laughed, quite amused, "You ain't old! If anything, how would dad feel if he caught you manhandling a child; his own daughter?" Nathan yanked Star by her hair, causing her to fall out of her chair. Star struggled to get up, but it's no use for a skinny little girl to escape a grown man's grip. She stopped struggling until they reached her room frame. She quickly moved over and threw herself against the wall before Nathan could take her out of her room. Nathan's wrist bumped the corner of the opening, forcing his hand to let go of Star's hair. Star quickly ran towards her window. When she arrived home and went inside her room, she had opened her windows for whenever Nathan would attack her in her room. She would use the windows to escape. Luckily, her room was on the 1st floor of the house.

She jumped out of her window. When she did, her dad pulled into the driveway. He parked the car and got out. He looked over at his daughter with concern and walked toward her. "Are you alright?", he asked. He looked up in her room through the open window and saw his husband standing there. "She jumped out of the window, thinking that I was an intruder." Star's dad glared at Nathan, "I thought I told you to announce yourself whenever you arrive home!" Nathan smiled, reassuring, "It won't happen again." Star's dad looked at her and smiled, "Crawl back inside. I'll cook dinner."

The whole 'she thought I was an intruder' thing went on for months and Star has a feeling that her dad might actually start to suspect Nathan of something. Star's dad had curly black hair, dark brown eyes and a friendly face. He was a nice person and loved by many.

Star didn't stay at the table long. She left for her room to listen to music. Couple of minutes after she was gone, Nathan dropped the bomb on Star's dad: "We should get rid of her." He looked over at Nathan in horror and disgust, "Why?!"

"She's very disrespectful."

"I don't feel anything unusual about her. She feels like a genuinely nice kid."

"That is what she wants you empath to feel."

"Not to mention that she only feels despise whenever she is around you." Nathan gave him a scared look. He looked Nathan in the eyes. His eyes showed a look of satisfaction. "Why are you looking so scared for?" Nathan shook his, got up from his seat and began to clean the table and the dishes. Star's dad walked to Star's room. He opened the door to see Star laying on her back on the floor, with headphones on and eyes closed. He walked closer to her and she opened her eyes. She smiled. "Hey, dad." Her dad smiled back at her, then his expression softens, "You know you can come to me if anything serious is happening, right?" Star nodded her head and kissed her dad on the cheek. "Night." She said, letting him know that she is fine.

At school, Yvette is yelling and about to cry. She is hugging Star's legs as she points at a spider on the playground. Star laughed at her. Yvette looked up and punched Star in the gut. She doubled over and groaned. "That's what you get for laughing at me!" Even though Star was in pain, she continued to laugh at Yvette. Yvette becomes flustered and pecked Star's lips with her lips. Star stopped laughing and looked surprised. The teacher called for the children to go inside.

Months after months, Nathan continued to abuse Star. This has started ever since Star was five. Nathan didn't like Star, was because she didn't share any of her dad's facial features. He hated her for that and always gave her a hard time. It used to be that Star's dad would find bruises on Star's body and Star would say that she was bullied. But little did he know that Nathan had been abusing her before and after she came home.

Two years later, a week before Yvette's birthday party...

Star and Yvette were sitting at the beach, watching the sunset. Yvette asked Star what her plans were when she finds a lover and decided to get married in the future. "Right now, I am not sure. We are too young to think of this."

"Well, are you planning on dating someone?"

"No." Yvette frowned. She looked crestfallen. Yvette took a deep breath and said, "I'm planning on asking this girl I like to be my girlfriend during my birthday party. Hopefully, she and I will get married someday. I have lots of wedding ideas." Yvette smiled as if she was remembering the best dream of her life. Star looked at Yvette nonchalantly, "Who let you get ahold of wedding ideas?"

"My cousin. She has this wedding book filled with lots of wedding ideas! I can't wait to browse through it with my crush." She said dreamily. Star made a sour face.

6 days until Yvette's birthday party...

Star was waiting for Yvette to come to school. Yvette's car arrived and Star opened the door for Yvette. She held out her hand and Yvette took it and climbed out of the car, smiling like an idiot. Once out the car, Star closed the door and softly kissed the back of Yvette's hand. Yvette became really flustered where she is standing in a daze. Star turned and marched to the school building, smiling, pulling Yvette by the hand.

5 days until Yvette's birthday party...

Star was having karaoke night over at Yvette's. Star was in the middle of a love song and was singing silly. "You cringey!" Yvette yelled and threw a pillow at her. They both laughed. Star walked over to Yvette, grabbed her waist and kissed her forehead. Yvette's face was red, and Star snickered, "Thank you for tolerating my cringey singing." Yvette smiled and wrapped her arms around Star's neck, smiling, "You're an idiot." They both shared an embrace.

4 days until Yvette's birthday party...

After they sang random songs, it was time for bed and it was late, so Yvette told Star to stay over. Star insisted on sleeping on the floor, but Yvette protested. It was a long protest, so Star ended up sleeping with Yvette. During the middle of the night, Star spooned Yvette, cuddling her. Yvette held her hand as she was being spooned by Star.

3 days until Yvette's birthday party...

After the girls had gotten ready for the day, they stood in Yvette's room to hang out there for the meantime. They both sat side by side each other, holding hands. Yvette's head was on Star's shoulder. "Hey Yvette, I love you." Yvette sat bolt upright, turned to her and said, "Shhhh!" loudly. "You're not supposed to say that until my birthday!" Star's eyes grew wide, "I'm sorry!"

"You ruined it!"

"Can I at least kiss you?" Yvette flustered, "Indecent! How bold of you!" Star kissed Yvette. It lasted for twelve seconds. Star pulled away, "Did that shut you up?" Yvette threw her arms around Star and kissed her hungrily.

2 days until Yvette's birthday party...

Star's spirits were high that day. She wouldn't stop smiling. Her dad noticed this and asked, "What has you so happy today?"

"Yvette became my girlfriend."

"Woah, congrats!"

"Thanks, dad!"

Over in the corner stood Nathan. Who knew what he was doing.

A day until Yvette's birthday party...

It was night. Earlier today, Yvette told Star to come over before 12AM. She wanted to spend time with Star all the way until her 14th birthday. Star arrived around 10:35 PM. She crawled through Yvette's window. "Took you long enough!" Star smiled and planted a kiss on Yvette's head, "Sorry, but you know how your parents are." Yvette frowned, "I know. I almost got arrested for breaking my dad's leg." Star shook her head in disappointment, "Every time..." she said under her breath. Star looked up and Yvette was staring at her intently. "What?" Star asked. Yvette moved closer to Star and cupped both of her cheeks, she whispers, "I want to spend this time with you. I want you to watch me turn from 13 to 14. You mean a lot to me, Star." They shared a kiss.

Yvette and Star were sitting on the floor while leaning on Yvette's bed. Yvette's head rested on Star's shoulder. Star checked her phone, which read 12 AM. Star moved her shoulder up to get Yvette's attention, "Hey, it's your birthday." Yvette bolted upright, quickly turned toward Star and began kissing her. She pulled away after what seemed like forever, "I love you." Star smiled, "I thought you were waiting to tell me that at your party." Yvette playfully hit Star on her arm, "Shut up!" Star started laughing.

The day of Yvette's party...

Everything seemed to be going great. There weren't many people at the birthday party. Yvette's only friend was Star and Star's only friend was Yvette. Yvette's other relatives didn't like her, as she is the most annoying and problematic child in their eyes. Yvette wanted her birthday to be special and wanted it to actually mean something to her. She and Star played birthday games, ate food and cake, and had lots of fun.

It reached night time and Star had permission to spend the night. Star was sitting on Yvette's bed. Yvette started taking her clothes off. "You know this isn't our honeymoon, right?" Yvette walked toward Star and got on top of her, "Will you be my girlfriend?" Star nodded, "Yes."

That morning, Star had gone home. She kissed Yvette goodbye and headed off. When she arrived home, her dad was waiting for her. "Knew a stubborn child like you would be up and gone early in the morning."

"That is because I can sense something bad about to happen." Star's dad raised one of his eyebrows and frowned. "Maybe it has something to do with Yvette."

"What do you mean? You think she's a bad influence?"

"Oh, no. Hearing from her parents, you keep her in check." Star looked at her dad in wonder. She was filled with a bit of confusion because she didn't know why she was getting a bad feeling.

Six hours later, Star decided to walk to Yvette's house after getting permission from her dad that she could hang out with Yvette. When Star arrived, she began walking slow. She saw an ambulance parked outside of Yvette's house. Two EMTs rushed out of the house with a stretcher and Yvette's mother in hysterics, running after them. Star's heart sank. She walked toward Yvette's dad, "Hey, what is going on?" Yvette's dad looked at Star with misty eyes. "Me and her mother found her head nearly severed... She was laying on her bed with her clothes torn off... Bruises all over her body..." He slowly walked back inside the house and closed the door.

Star ran home, crying. She couldn't believe she had lost the person she deeply loved just a day after her birthday. As Star arrived home, still in tears, she witnessed her dad tossing Nathan out of the house along with Nathan's belongings. Her dad was screaming at him and shouting insults. That is when Star got on top of Nathan and screamed, "YOU KILLED HER, DIDN'T YOU?!" She punched him in the face repeatedly. She was angry, sad, heartbroken. How can someone kill a child like that? What did Yvette ever do to Nathan?

15 years later...

Star is kneeling at Yvette's grave, fixing it up. She has come there every day for 15 years, putting flowers and gifts on Yvette's grave. Star smiled painfully, "Hey babe. Today has been wonderful! I had broken into prison to bash Nathan's head in and hung him with a noose to let people ask, "Did he commit suicide or was this murder?" Honestly, he was murdered. By me! I'm proud of it as well." Star started laughing as if she was just remembering something funny, "The way the police just looked at me and did nothing, tells that Nathan, that monster will be forever hated!"

"Star." She froze. A car rolled up and the driver's window was down, "Star, stop running off during our sessions!" Star turned to the driver and then back at the grave, "Sorry babe, Grayson wants to talk to me." She whipped her head around, "CAN'T YOU SEE I AM TALKING TO MY GIRLFRIEND?"

"That corpse, casket, dirt, and tombstone ain't gonna talk to your delulu ass! Get in the car!"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! OH SHE'S TALKING ALRIGHT!" Star turned her to the grave, "Right babe?"

"GET. YOUR. ASS. IN. THIS. CAR."

"NO!"

"Want me to drag you? Because I will be honored in doing so!" Star got up, "Ugh! Fine!"

"There is no need to run out of our sessions just because you remembered a precious memory of Yvette." Star got in the car and off they went, to continue the therapy session.

Ever since Yvette's murder, Star had completely shut people out and went into selective mutism. After 3 years of her therapist, Grayson, trying to talk to her, she finally spoke. Sometimes, Star would have hallucinations of Yvette. She even stole Yvette's clothes from her parents' house and all of her belongings. Ever since Yvette's death, Star had only been talking to Yvette's grave.

Over 10 years of therapy, Grayson had told Star's dad that there was nothing else he could do besides putting her in a mental institution, where she would live there until her 40's.

On the day of her release, Star drove recklessly into a tree just across from the institution and died on scene.

Hello! I know that this story is not in full detail. If you enjoyed it anyway, then I am glad you did. If you don't like it because this story wasn't completely filled in, then I understand. I am planning on rewriting this story in the future. I have so many ideas I can use.
