BROKEN MIRROR
The mirrors reflected more than just the living.

As Emily gazed into the broken mirror, she felt a sense of unease wash over her. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but something about the fragmented pieces made her feel like she was being watched.
Despite her apprehension, she continued to stare at her reflection. Suddenly, she saw movement in the corner of her eye. She turned around, but no one was there. When she looked back at the mirror, she saw a figure standing behind her reflection.
It was a woman with long, stringy hair and a pale, gaunt face. Emily tried to scream, but no sound escaped her lips. The woman in the mirror started to move closer, and Emily realized with horror that she was trapped.
She tried to look away, but the woman's eyes held her gaze. The figure reached out a hand and touched the broken glass, causing the shards to cut into Emily's skin.
As she felt warm blood trickle down her face, Emily knew that she had made a grave mistake by looking into the broken mirror. The woman in the reflection was now free to haunt her, and there was nothing Emily could do to stop it.
Emily's heart raced as the figure in the mirror continued to approach her. She tried to turn away, but her body was frozen in place. The woman's bony fingers reached out and touched Emily's reflection, causing it to ripple like water.
As the reflection shattered, Emily felt a sharp pain in her chest. She stumbled backwards, feeling as though she was being pulled into the mirror itself. The shards of broken glass cut into her skin, causing her to cry out in pain.
The woman's laughter echoed through the room, and Emily knew that she was in deep trouble. She tried to back away, but her feet wouldn't move. She was trapped, and the woman in the mirror was getting closer by the second.
Suddenly, Emily felt a hand on her shoulder. She spun around to see her friend standing behind her, looking concerned.
"What happened? Are you okay?" her friend asked.
Emily looked back at the broken mirror, but the woman was gone. It was just her reflection staring back at her. She took a deep breath, feeling the adrenaline start to wear off.
"I...I don't know," Emily stuttered. "I looked into the broken mirror, and I saw something...something terrifying."
Her friend looked at her skeptically, but Emily knew what she had seen. From that moment on, she vowed to never look into a broken mirror again.
