"In Local news, severe floods brought by Hurricane Claudia are yielding record breaking Water levels. Authorities are ordering any who remained in the effected areas, to stay within their homes at this time."

"I knew we should have evacuated. Can't even see outside, the water is higher than the window!" The young woman exclaimed.

"Madi, baby, relax. It'll pass. Storms happen all the time. Just get your mind off it"

"Not like this. What if it doesn't hold"

"It'll hold.

"I'm serious, Logan. I'm scared"

"Look just try to relax, we can't evacuate now even if we wanted to...And stop watching the news. You know how you get."

The sound of Caleb and Sara drunkenly teasing one another from the other room, could be heard over the sound of the creaking house. Each creak moving as if orchestrated by the flowing tides outside its walls.

"Will you two knock it off and get in here, Madi's frieked out"

Logan shouted to the next room.

Sara and Caleb stagger into the living room, still giggling at their flirtatious game. Sara's arm over Caleb's shoulder. Each holding a beer in their free hand. Sara breaks away to talk to Madison, fumbling a bit in her steps.

"Its just a storm, I've lived in Lalita Point my entire life, we have 'em all the time. None have been this bad flooding wise, but it's cool. We'll be fine"

"Yeah, this house is old but sturdy."

Caleb stated slapping his hand against the wall.

"Ok"

Madison sighed, looking to the water outside the window. Still anxious of the storm.

Several hours pass, and the four drink and converse amongst one another. The voices of the others like static to Madison. Her mind gone seemingly with the tides of hurricane Claudia.

Suddenly, a thunderous clap against the window, alerts Caleb to investigate. Peering out to the murky water past the clear window pane. He leans in to further examine the strange noise, as a second strike occurs. The sight of a great white slamming into the window, leaving a large Crack in its wake.

Caleb jumped back

"Its a shark!"

A third violent strike, shatters the window. Caleb caught in the jaws of the great white. Caleb screams as the incoming water turns red with his blood, the shark shaking and devouring its prey.

"Upstairs go, go, go"

Logan shouted, panicked at the events unfolding

The shark flopped and flailed as the three ran up the stairs. The tides rising faster, with each step they took. Closing the door behind themselves, they used clothes from the closet to seal the bottom of the door.

"You were right. We should never have stayed"

Sara sobbed, mournfully collapsing to the floor far from the door, with her head in her arms.

Madison solemnly looked onto her sobbing friend, speechless as to what to say. She looked to Logan, pacing back and forth with his hand on his head, distraught over Caleb's death.

The creaking of the walls became louder than they had been. Shockwaves of the shark slamming against the walls below could be felt in the wooden flooring underfoot. Madison looked outside, to the water outside the window.

"OH MY GOD"

Madison shrieked as the view of several sharks could be seen just outside. Neighboring houses, wrecked and penetrated by the carnivorous beasts. Her panic causing Logan and Sara, to also view the outside. Sara quelled her tears, and backed up in horror at the sight.

"Now what do we do. We're stuck. Nowhere to go. No food, no water. Nothing.."

Sara sobbed once more her masquera running down her face.

The floor began to rattle and shake, before the floor beneath Sara began to quickly crumble.

"Give me your hand"

Logan grabbed Sara's hand, just as the floor where she was standing fell to the water below. Madison rushed over to help, grabbing her other arm

"We're gonna pull you up"

The shark jumped, ripping Sara in half. Her blood and intestines splashing against the water below. Her lifeless mangled torso hanging in the couple's arms, before falling below.

"We got to get to the roof"

The couple ran to the window, and swifly crawled on top the roof outside.

"Watch yourself, don't fall"

Logan exclaimed hurrying Madison to climb to the higher roof. Before himself following, embracing Madison once on top.

"We just got to stick it out somehow, babe, we can do this"

The walls below crumbled and shook, the house teetering now with each wave of the tide. The sight of several sharks sporadically swimming below, was the only thing the two could focus on.

Sections of the roof began to give away, as the walls below fully collapsed. Roof tiles fell like boulders to the waters murky depths. The ground beneath them began to protrude, and give away, as the remaining foundation crumbled.

"Logan Hold On!"

Maddison cried as the two's hands interlocked, above the growing crevice of the splintering roof; They now fully laying against the tiles surface, split by its divide.

The roof beneath Logan crumbled fast, it's tiles running like a stream over the edge. His grip failed, and he too fell. Disappearing quickly in the water below.

"LOGAN!"

Madison shrieked as she tried to steady herself, kicking at the tiles trying to get a foot hold; Her efforts in vein as more and more tiles fell. Suddenly the beam she was holding onto gave away, plummeting her to the cold water below.

Struggling to keep her head above water, her body was pulled under with each crash of the waves caused by the falling neighboring houses. She gasped and choked, until her body became limp and nearly stagnant. Her head barely staying above water.

A shark began circling around her, it's large pupils never straying away from its prey. Eventually it's jaws locking onto her. She slowly felt her life leaving her body, as her blood sipped and poured from beneath the sharks teeth. The pressure of its jaws, bore a greater pain than any pain she had ever felt, before going numb; Lifeless. Devoured by the jaws of the great white.
