!!!THIS IS FOR THE LITTLE BLACK BOOK CHALLENEGE BUT NO OPTION TO CHOOSE CHALLENGE!!!

Yasmine Mitchell was not superstitious. She didn’t believe in much besides her will to live and her strength to overcome everything she had been through. See, there’s this story about Yasmine. I will take it from the top so you can better understand her and where her curiosity begins and her tactful niche for detecting bad vibes ends with The Little Black Book.

It starts with Yasmine working on a late night call as a customer service representative for a reputable law firm in New York City; seemingly, this phone call was never-ending as there was no solution for a divorcee with a problem being divorced. When she finally ends the call, the phone rings immediately again. She sighs and unwillingly answers, “Fuller and Sons Law Firm, how may I assist you?”. Silence. “Hello?” Yasmine says, irritated as static fills the airwaves. “I can’t hear you if you’re talking, please try to call back when we open at 8am.” The static stops and more silence takes its place. “Hello?” Yasmine says cautiously. The lights flicker and the line goes dead. Yasmine gets a weird chill as she looks at the receiver of the phone, shakes it off, and hangs up. She stares at the phone to see if it will ring again but it doesn’t. “Weird, I’ve had that same thing happen 3 times today” she mumbles to herself, she shrugs it off and hopes they will be able to get through tomorrow. She gets up to leave for the night making a mental note to get maintenance to take a look at the lights and the random flickering that happened.

In the parking garage, there is an unusual chill. Yasmine is on full alert, guard up but she doesn’t understand why. The energy is pretty thick and random though with everyone already gone. She gets out her keys before walking to her car and puts them in between her fingers, just in case she needs to take down a mugger. Yasmine has always been calculated like this with her intuition. She gets to her car and quickly gets in and locks it. She breathes a sigh of relief while looking around and giggles to herself, “Yasmine, you’re just paranoid over nothing again!”. As soon as she flops her purse down, she realizes she set it on top of something that wasn’t there when she started her day that morning. She slowly picks up her purse and there is a small black book, leather bound, just randomly in the passenger seat. She looks perplexed, “How did this get here, my car was locked..” inside the book there was a folder pocket which she found a note: ‘Do not tell anyone you have this, or you will be killed. You will get further instructions later. Please enjoy the 300 million I have placed in your account for this job’. Yasmine looks around suspiciously and mumbles “What on Earth.” She gets on her phone and checks her bank account, sure enough, the 300 million was there. She gasps. “What is happening!?”, she exclaims to the empty car. She takes a look at the book. It’s a list of names? But not normal names. It’s like ancient mythology names or something:

Amaros

Belphegor

Dajjal

Eisheth

Kukudh

Merihem

Sitri

Shinigami

Yasmine has no idea what is happening but she has a large sum of money, so she pays her bills that are behind and heads home. On the way home, she gets a phone call from her best friend, Danny. She resists telling him anything because of the note. She didn’t want to jeopardize this newfound position that has made her a millionaire overnight, no mind the death threat. Danny feels like something is up. “You seem happier, Yaz, what’s up?”, he asks. Yasmine makes up something on the spot, “well I was gonna wait until we got some free time to celebrate but I got a raise!”. Technically not a lie. “Oh Yasmine! That’s amazing! You’ve been working so hard for this, I’m so proud, how much of a raise, sounds pretty large if we need to celebra..” she quickly cuts him off and stammers “ohhh, it was 20% with a yearly bonus!” “Oh this is just so great! We will definitely have to celebrate soon, are you free tomorrow night, we will go out to dinner and then somewhere fun!” She excitedly agrees to the plans, tells him that she will talk to him tomorrow, and they hang up. She’s looking at her home and thinking if she wants to fix it up or build her own, her mind swimmmg with all of these luxurious ideas. She heads inside, feeds her cat, Tinker, and opens the fridge. She quickly realizes that she can have whatever take out she wants now and grabs the best chinese take out menu from the drawer beside the fridge.

While she waits for her food to arrive, she goes to her home office, turns on the computer, and does some digging, looking up a couple of these strange names. She starts with the first one, Amaros. What she finds shocks her. “It’s a demon!?” She exclaims confusingly. Her mind starts racing. She doesn’t really have any beliefs, she hadn’t thought about it since she was a teenager and then that one time she was put in the hospital by her ex fiancé who was abusive. But since then the thought hadn’t really crossed her mind about the beyond. So now her brain is really confused on how 300 million dollars and a little black book with demon names have to really do with her. “Maybe they got the wrong woman,” she trails off to herself as the doorbell rings. She gives all her cash to the deliver driver and it’s about 130 bucks, he dances away from her door yelling thank you as he leaves her with her food. He gets to the elevator, Yasmine telling him don’t spend it all in one place. His eyes change to solid black as he looks at her and says “you too, Demon Hunter.” and the elevator doors close. Yasmine drops the bag of Chinese food and slams the door, locking it quickly realizing ‘okay, I guess they don’t have the wrong woman.’ That was the first time she has ever encountered a demon like that. She had had dreams as a kid but those were just night terrors that manifested from her rough childhood because her mother had died from cancer when she was 9. That’s what her therapist had told her anyways, now she’s rethinking everything. She picks up the bag she dropped. She just shoves it in the fridge as her appetite has dwindled down to nothing. She grabs a string cheese from the fridge and stares at her home office from the kitchen. She has a sinking feeling that the 300 million is for hunting demons, she will definitely have to work for every penny. She sighs and heads back to her office.

She gets a feeling that she needs to look up protection protocols. She settles on Sage even though she doesn’t understand any of this lingo or if it will work. She makes a mental note to buy sage tomorrow. She turns off her computer and goes to bed. As she’s in bed, drifting off, she gets weighed down. Something heavy is on top of her. She opens her eyes and a flash of a demon face quickly makes her sit up. Nothing is there. She fumbles for the lamp switch and turns it on, still nothing. She does something she hasn’t done since she was a little girl...she prays. Outloud she says “God, I know I haven’t been the best human, but whatever is going on, please protect me from it. Amen” she gets up out of bed and goes to the medicine cabinet, taking one of her as needed prescription sleep aids. She drifts again.

As Yasmine dreams sweetly. She’s enjoying an ocean view, her toes in the sand. A man comes to sit beside her. He looks at her and says, “Child, do you know me?” Yasmine confusingly shakes her head no. “I am the one who left the book to you and the money. I am the Archangel Selaphiel.” “You prayed and I am here to give an explaination” he continues, “You have been chosen by God to execute these demons. Someone who is neither a believer or a non believer,” “We needed someone who was strong but neutral.” “Soon, the four horsemen will sound off the end of the world.” “This is where you come in, we need you to kill this list of demons before the horsemen ride in; these particular demons, if they are not terminated, will create a black hole in all the corners of the world where the angels will be, and Earth will be sucked into a vacuum of void.”. He further comforts her and says, “Now you are protected, they can scare you but they can not get to you unless your frequency raises but we are keeping an eye on that and you will hear an alarm in your mind, that’s us, it will automatically bring your frequency back down so that you remain protected.”, “I hope this has explained....” the waves crashing wakes her up as her alarm goes off. Yasmine shakes her head and wonders if everything was a dream. She checks her account, the money still there. She stares out the window in disbelief. “How am I ever going to accomplish such a thing as this...alone”
