In the eerie silence of the morning, seven strangers stirred from their unconscious slumber, their bodies sprawled across the unfamiliar terrain. Around them stretched an alien landscape — vast purple plains beneath a cerulean sky, bisecting horizon merging with a silver ocean, as galaxies swirled overhead. They were trapped in a cosmos that defied earthly rules of physics and time, an enigma that left everyone uneased.

Dusty uncertainties hovered like a thick fog as distinct individuals turned into a unified group, piecing together through tentative introductions. Thomas, a stoic physicist; Eliott, an adrenaline junkie; Lana, a probing psychologist; Harper, a dreamy artiste; Meredith, a diligent detective; Aiden, an honest carpenter and Zoe, a tenacious botanist. Their memories about each other, their past, or how they got there were wiped clean - they only valued the shared goal to find a way back home.

They began to explore this alien world, guided by an unspoken yet shared desperation. Aiden and Lana discovered that the strange trees bore fruit that served as sustenance. Simultaneously, Harper sketched maps of the land they traversed, while Thomas attempted to comprehend the peculiar physics of this planet. Zoe studied the local plant life, and Eliot and Meredith took it upon themselves to provide the necessary defense against potential threats.

Through rigorous physical trials and mental tribulations, they soon realized an uncanny bond midst them, tethering them beyond the forgotten past. They began to see flashes of memories, visions of a shared history, gleams into a past life where they worked together at a top-secret government organization. Although the bits and pieces were vague and scattered, they stoked the curiosity within the group to seek answers.

Days morphed into weeks. Their desperate quest for survival gradually gave way to a subtly profound acceptance. The group triumphed over adversities, only growing stronger in the face of every ordeal. The psychologist functioned as the pivotal emotional anchor, the botanist nurtured their sustenance, the carpenter crafted their shelters, while the physicist continually made groundbreaking discoveries about their warped reality.

As months passed, the boundaries of their identities began to blur. From mere survival, they moved onto a higher purpose—that of self-discovery and understanding. Their advanced skills hinted at a preceding life far beyond mediocrity, suggesting they all were chosen, implying their arrival might not be an accident after all.

At the apex of this revelation, Thomas deciphered an ancient astronomical event that had the potential to return them to their world if they worked cohesively. Skimming through the rare phenomenon, they realized that it was their extraordinary skillsets that were the key to unlock the cosmic door.

The day arrived, the sky was ablaze, welcoming the celestial guest. Under the orchestration of Thomas, each one played a crucial role. Lana maintained the group's focus, aiding them to remain mentally on point, while Eliot and Aiden managed the physical aspects of the gateway. Zoe and Harper gathered specific plants and materials to align with the energies of the portal. Meredith managed the time, dictating the pace as per the celestial alignment.

As the stars started shifting, they all concentrated on the pivotal moment - a moment that transcended their struggle and survival, connecting them in an unbreakable bond. With one final push, the world around crumbled and the seven strangers plunged through the cosmic frontier, a strange energy usurped them, and everything went black.

They awoke with a start, back in their earthly lives, not as strangers, but as a team. And as their memories flooded back, they realized that their accidental voyage was a part of an expansive test—one designed by their top-secret organization to test their survival and unity against the odds of amnesia and an alien world.

The journey had taught them to lean on each other, to view strengths rather than vulnerabilities and to value 'together-ness' over individualities. And although they had begun their voyage as unknown strangers to each other, they returned home as an indestructible team, carrying an important lesson: For the path to survival was often found in unity rather than solitude- a lesson they hoped to never forget, in this world or any other.
