A Halloween Birthday treat

Kenny Penn's frighten me prompt

Happy AIWEEN

I had never met anyone who was born on Halloween night before. Sweet, we get to have a three-fer. Birthday cake, monster fun and candy. Who could ask for a better night.

But the best part was when Kenny's surprise would jump right out of the cake, then we would have a really spooky, outdoor, dimly lit Easter Halloween candy egg hunt to the theme of Steven King's Pet Sematary.

After the hunt we would bury Kenny in the Sematary with the pets. It would be epic and so cool.

He he he he! What a barrel of laughs and fun that is going to be.

Halloween night dawned, Kenny eagerly awaited his birthday party. Despite the ghostly decorations and spooky ambiance, he felt excitement bubbling up inside him. First, they went trick and treating with a few friends. They passed by many of them who would be attending the party afterwards. Everyone was so excited, even when Kenny bullied them into giving him a half of their candy.

Little did he know, his so-called friend Penny had a sinister surprise in store. She despised Kenny with a fiery passion and had concocted a chilling plan. Kenny, you see, was a big bully and a tyrant, he terrorized just about everyone that he met. He treated Penny like his own slave. Although the kids at his school hated his guts, they all would be attending the party, or fear his wrath afterwards.

Kenny always managed to somehow weasel and lie his way out of every unpleasant situation which he concocted to terrorize the other kids.

In the days leading up to the party, Penny had volunteered to bake an enormous birthday cake, a masterpiece of sugary deception. The child was a confectionery genius, she could whip up a cake that would make any baker weep. Layer upon layer, she infused her venomous malice, carefully crafting the perfect disguise of a birthday/Halloween sweet feast. A truly sumptuous bloody Halloween style trick and treat looking cake.

Where did Penny get the money? Well, all the kids chipped in, they begged, cajoled and duped their parents into giving them money for various wonderful, lying endeavors. Some even did...shudder...extra chores, causing parents to wonder what had happened to their usual terrible, beastly, little monsters. Penny had promised them a bloody surprise. Kids these days, they loved their bloody video games.

As dusk fell and the guests begun arriving, nervous laughter and chatter filled the air. The centerpiece of the night stood majestically on the table...a towering cake that promised sweet delight. Penny watched the revelers, she smiled in true Halloween terror fashion, she couldn't wait to see her friend's face as he attended the party that would change his life forever.

They sang happy birthdays, Rotten bloody Halloween to the beat of the Spooky Pumpkins band as they danced happily, eagerly awaiting the highlight of the night, the cake. All the parents were inside drinking spiked pumpkin eggnog...the wicked children had poured in enough rum to down a horse.

Kenny opened presents...one of the gifts was a strange looking, fully computerized bow and arrow, very sturdy and primed to be fired for some unforeseen reason. He placed it carefully on the table, he was sure that he could find some use for it later.

But until then, it was time for the cake. Kenny grinned wide, how honored he was to be the king of the cake.

With a flourish and a wicked smile, Penny presented the cake to Kenny, who beamed with unsuspecting joy. He grasped the knife, poised to cut the first slice, when suddenly the cake shuddered and cracked.

A chilling silence fell over the room as the top of the cake split open, revealing a pair of glowing red eyes. The guests gasped in horror as a monstrous vampire emerged from the sugary depths, its fangs glistening and a sinister smile curling its lips.

Kenny stumbled back, dropping the knife, but it was too late. The vampire lunged at him with supernatural speed, sinking its fangs into his neck. Kenny's scream echoed through the night as the guests scattered in panic. Penny watched with a twisted sense of satisfaction as the vampire drained the life from her hated tormentor.

But the horror didn’t end there. The vampire, now sated and rejuvenated, turned its attention to the fleeing guests. Luckily Penny had prepared for just such an eventuality. She grabbed the bow and arrow and shot her brother in the heart. But it was just a tranquilizer blood dart. He would wake up in a couple of hours with just a vampiric headache. Gosh but those can sure be terrible.

She had warned him to stay away from the other guests. Penny lifted her brother, seemingly with little effort (was she also a vampire) and took him to his coffin in his room.

Kids these days, the whole sodding bunch returned to the party just to have a look at the bloody corpse of Kenny, or what was left of him.

Under guise of a Halloween/easter egg hunt, they buried Kenny in the Sematary. The little otherwise lazy and unwilling chilluns cleaned the place up like pros. Not a sign of foul play could be found, all evidence was now chilling with Kenny in the Sematary under the earth.

Penny had lovely rose bushes to plant atop his dirt filled grave.

No one knew what had happened to Kenny, except that on His birthday he completely disappeared. Secretly, his parents were relieved, Kenny had been a terrible child. Publicly, they mourned.

The kids were Never more happy.

Peace out Kenny! Happy Afterlife Halloween!!!!+

Trick or treat. That is the question?
