There was a third keeper with a paintbrush. He was painting the symbol on the man’s door in thick red paint. Then I realized it wasn’t paint. As I continued down the hallway a saw more and, more of these gruesome symbols. I assumed this meant that whoever occupied these rooms were now dead.
Once it felt like we were walking forever I noticed a light up ahead. There were two giant double doors. Right before we entered them we turned. In the small period of time ,as I was turning,I caught a glimpse of the room.
It was all white hexagon tiles and there was a small rectangle at the very top of the wall which seem to be made out of glass. I assumed this is where the GameMaster was watching us and,I assumed that room was the Game Board.
We went into a staircase that went down. Soon we entered a room that looked like an old storage room. The keepers started lining us up one by one until no more trients or keepers came into the room. I stood next to a lady with long blonde hair and a young man with short red hair.
In the dim light I could make out four keepers and, they stood in a rectangle. There was one for each corner, and they all pointed their guns at us. We waited for something to happen. I took this time to examine the other trients. Everyone was different. There were both girls and boys. They were all different races and different ages. There was nobody in specific.
The youngest person I saw was a boy who I assume to be 16 and the oldest person I saw was probably in her 50s.
Then without realizing , we were going up. The keepers that were watching us at gunpoint slowly grew smaller and smaller. I looked above us and I saw the white hexagon room but it was changing. The hexagon tiles were morphing into white concrete walls and, the floor that we stood on was also changing into smooth oak planks, like the ones you would have at a basketball court.
Then the platform stopped and became one with the floor that used to be above us.
I looked around and I saw the thin line of window above the room where the GameMaster was watching. I noticed that the line in front of us, at the very end of the room, said “FINISH “,and behind it on the wall was a giant lightbulb that wasn’t on. Behind us was dozens of keepers, at least one for every person ,and they were lined up on the line behind us. We stood on the line that was exactly in the middle of the room.
I froze.
It was then I knew what game we’re playing.
