It's essential for your general wellbeing to take some time to relax and rejuvenate. It can elevate your mood and increase productivity and creativity.

On Panic Day, the one day of the year when it could be acceptable to succumb to the emotion that we all strive to control—panic! It's acceptable to feel stressed or overwhelmed. One is not inherently weak or incompetent if they occasionally give in to such feeling.

So go ahead and put a date on your calendar and hold on tight till Panic Day arrives! You can take some time once the day begins to simply let everything out, whether it's yelling into a pillow at home or scaling a mountain by yourself to let out a big fit of rage.

Panic Day's past

Many individuals might consider the holidays that were established purely to commemorate life's enjoyable moments—moments that everyone looks forward to—when considering other holidays. On the other hand, Panic Day was established as a day to acknowledge the stress that life might occasionally cause and to consider ways to lessen its impact.

Everyone is aware of the harmful and even dangerous effects of stress on health. Conditions including obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease can all be exacerbated by stress.

Some people experience crippling panic attacks in response to stress. A person experiencing panic may believe that their fear is unsurmountable. While this may not seem rational, the panic takes over and makes it difficult for the one stricken to be able to make rational choices. Panic Day is the ideal time to take action and get in touch with a mental health expert if you feel that your stress and worries are too much for you to handle.

Giving in to the more whimsical aspects of the day's premise is the enjoyable way to observe Panic Day.

Some may enjoy shocking their colleagues and coworkers by succumbing to stress in the midst of the day, yelling about it, and twirling around the space. It could be a fun preamble to wish them all a Happy Panic Day, with a few dramatic remarks like "It's too much!" or "Don't make me do it anymore!"

Not fit for a celebration this public? Take into consideration a few of these ideas for commemorating Panic Day:

Practice Inhaling Firmly

It is common knowledge that breathing is essential to life, yet anxiety and stress can make breathing shallow and less beneficial to the body. A few deep breathing techniques will help lower heart rate, lessen tension (often almost instantly! ), and lessen the inclination to panic.

Count from one to five with each deep breath that you take in through your nose and out through your mouth. This kind of exercise provides much-needed mental and physical relaxation while lowering the danger of hyperventilation.

Play some upbeat music.

Occasionally, when events overwhelm the intellect, panic arises. Putting on a Spotify playlist or putting some calming music on the record player could help lessen the effects of stress. Piano, classical music, or even some binaural beats intended for relaxation can be the ideal selection. Or, to be a little cheekier, play a Panic at the Disco record.

Think about include a few of these songs on a playlist that will assist in making everyone smile:

Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and Florence + The Machine's "Hunger"

The Beatles' Good Day Sunshine

I Feel Good—I Got You. James Brown

Al Green's Sha la la (Make Me Happy)
