William Christian: Soap vet comes to Days of Our Lives

Soap veteran William Christian has been hired in the role of TR Coates on NBC's Days of Our Lives. He will be revealed as the ex-boyfriend of Paulina Price (Jackie Harry) and fans knew that this day of reckoning was coming. Paulina said that her abusive ex was named Ray so the R in the name probably i8s for Ray or Raymond. He mistreated Paulina to the point that when she found out she was pregnant she hid it from him and lied that her daughter Lani Price (Sal Sowers) belonged to her sister Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo).

Ray is now in town and going to run into his ex, his daughter and his twin grandchildren almost immediately. Spoilers say he will be in Salem on business and run into Paulina by accident. Either she lied or exagurated about his being anabusice nobody or he has gotten his life together and now doing well. DOOL fans have ben wondering why Lani did to desire to meet her birth father but now she has no choice.

T R Coates will cause trouble in Salem

Many Days fans were hoping that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina would be back on track and heading to the altar for a second time. Ray showing up is going to change everything. The question is whether or not he is the con artist abusivc man that Paulina ran away from with the help of her mother and sister or not?

Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) assited with the deception of Tamara raising Lani as her own. When she was in Salem Tamara was dating Abe so Lani assumed that the mayor was her dad. They truly love and respect one another so Paulina's lie has caused a lot of damage.

Paulina may have some explaining to do

Days fans know that Paulina is a liar and schemer so who knows what Ray will reveal after they meet again? TR Coates could cause a lot of problems and perhaps shed some light on what everyone has been told abotu him. Perhaps he is as bad as his ex has made him out to be and even worse. Whatever the truth is Paulina will be more shaken up at seeing him than she was confronting a possesed Marlena and when she walked in on her daughter Chanel Dupree with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).

Perhaps Abe will ruhn this newcomer out of town or Ray and Paulina might resume their romance and they will leave town again. It would be good to see Olivia show up to deal with this man as she had no fear of the devil in Marlena. The Days of Our Lives writers are going out of theri way to develop a backstory for Paulina and intergrate her into life in Salem. There are sure to be fireworks when Coates shows up and some awakward moments as Paulina scrambles to deal with him.

William Christian: Getting to know him

William Leonard Christian was born on September 30, 1955 in Washington, DC. His first daytime appearance was in 1990 as Dr.Marshall Redd on Another World. That same year, Christian joined ABC's All My Children as Pine Valley Police Chief Derek Frye and remained in the role until 2005.

Christian's other credits include the role of Tim in the film The January Man in 1989 and he portrayed Sam Middleton a Government official in season 4 of Prison Break in 2005. He also was the owner of a store in Good Girls in seasobn 4 in 2021. The actor has been married to his wife Gail since 2002.
