Wiccan

Okay so we have a lot of characters in Agatha All Along so far. Some of them are extremely comic book accurate and others, not so much. And then we have some mystery. We have a young man who is yet to be named. Of course the popular fan theory is that he is Billy, Wanda’s son. Also known in the comics as Wiccan. Here’s the deal, if he’s not Wiccan I am going to be extremely upset. This is not the time for original thoughts. That said I have complete faith in Jac Shaeffer and I know that she knows what she is doing. So let’s talk about who the hell Wiccan is and why it is important that he be brought into the MCU at this point in time.

My sweet baby boy was first introduced in Young Avengers #1 and was one of the original four members of the team. Billy and Tommy are twins, they are brothers and I will fight anyone that says otherwise. Their origins have been so convoluted and changed that there will be many opinions on this. All you need to know is that they are very much both Wanda’s children.

Now there are many stories of Billy’s that we can talk about, and we will but an important thing to note first is just how powerful Billy is. Wanda is a Nexus being and children of Nexus beings tend to be more powerful than their parents. So first, however powerful you think the Scarlet Witch is triple it and then triple it again. The Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe and Wiccan is even more powerful than that.

Billy’s biggest storyline outside of the Young Avengers is, of course, The Children’s Crusade. At the start of this storyline Billy proves himself dangerous, and the Avengers take him in concerned that he, like his mother, might lose control over his abilities. It is the other young avengers that liberate him from Avengers tower and encourage him to look for his mother. After leaving Avengers tower Magneto reveals himself to both Wiccan and Speed as their grandfather. When Wiccan teleports himself, his team and Magneto to Wundagore the Avengers concede to let him look for her. When they finally find her Wiccan attempts to remind her of her past as the Scarlet Witch but he is attacked by Doctor Doom before he can finish. When Doom realizes that he might be on the verge of losing Wanda he tells her that he is in love with her. The series ends with Wanda realizing Billy is hers, the Young Avengers disbanding and vague confirmation that at some point in the future Billy is granted the title of Sorcerer Supreme.

Wiccan and Hulkling are granted their own storyline much later, taking place after they are married. That’s right GAY. The Young Avengers are super queer guys so if you want that representation they are the perfect team and title for you to read.

Billy, like his mother, has the ability to warp reality. He is also a spell based magician and in order for his spells to be successful he must hear them. Though not all of his spells need words. He is in universe recognized as one of the most powerful mages on the planet. This is where we get into the child of a Nexus being kind of power. Billy is also the Demiurge…the person destined to be so powerful in the ways of reality warping he rewrites the rules of magic. This power is of course sourced from his mother, but does greatly surpass her current abilities.

I doubt that we will see much of this in the show. I think that our mystery young man will be revealed as Billy. And I think that either through the witch's road or through Agatha herself he will find out that his mother is the Scarlet Witch. This could perhaps kick off a Children’s Crusade like storyline which is exactly what I am hoping for, that book is just so good it's really hard to screw up. Plus they have already alluded to the forming of the Young Avengers AND there are pretty solid rumors of a Scarlet Witch movie. It's all adding up.
