What is next for Spider-Man in the MCU?

Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released worldwide in cinemas. Critics everywhere have been rating it very well and it has had an amazing first weekend at the box office.

The film ends with Tom Holland's Peter Parker remembered by no one, forgotten by everyone he knows and loves. Alone in New York City, Peter moves into his small apartment and continues his Spider-Man duties.

Moving into Tom's next trilogy, he is finally the comic accurate Spider-Man we all know and love. So what is next for him? This article will explore what the next 3 films could hold for Spidey.

Comic Accurate Suits

As we saw at the end of No Way Home, Peter moves into his new apartment and makes a new suit using a sewing machine since he no longer has any Stark tech to build suits for him. The new suit is a lot closer to a comic accurate suit than any suit Tom wore in the first trilogy. It has much brighter blue sections and much bigger spider symbols on the front and back. Since Peter now has to make all of his suits by hand, I think we will see a lot less suits in the next trilogy.

Personally I would love to see a comic accurate symbiote suit as I don't think we have seen that yet. Tobey's black suit was not great as it was just his suit darkened and Andrew didn't even get the chance to encounter venom.

Classic Spider-Man Jobs

Since Peter now has an apartment to pay for and is still currently unemployed, I think at the start of the next trilogy we could see him in some of his classic occupations. He could be delivering pizzas for some extra cash, or we could see him as some sort of junior/intern science role either working some Norman Osbourne or Otto Octavious. This would be a great way to introduce them into the MCU.

I would love to see Tom's Peter Parker working for Jameson at the Daily Bugle, taking pictures of himself as Spider-Man just like we saw in Tobey's movies. I think Tom and J.K Simmons would have amazing chemistry together and would be a good plot point to explain Scorpion who we saw in one of the post credit scenes.

More Villains

In the next trilogy for Tom, the thing I am most excited for is the villains. Spider-Man has the best rouges gallery in the history of superheroes and Marvel have to use it. There are so many options from minor villains like chameleon to massive fan favourites like venom and green goblin.

Personally I would love to see Tom fight his version of venom as I want him to get the comic accurate symbiote suit with the big white spider on the chest. I would like Marvel to cast villains we have seen before and give them a more comic accurate design, like Green Goblin, Lizard, and Electro. Classic Spidey Characters

Moving into this new Spider-Man trilogy, Peter knows no one. Knowing this, I would love for him to meet some classic Spider-Man characters that Tom's Spider-Man has not met yet. This could be him going to college and meeting his version of Gwen Stacey, it could be him working for Oscorp and meeting Norman and Harry Osbourne. I would love for them to bring in a Black Cat for him to fight/work with, that could blossom a short fling while MJ doesn't remember who he is.

The person I want him to meet the most would be Miles Morales. I would love for Marvel to mould this Spider-Man story into the one like the PS4 game where Miles and Peter fight together to protect New York. This could also help them introduce characters like the Prowler who we already saw in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Finally, if the rumour is true that Tom is getting 6 more films, then there is so much content, so many characters and stories that they can do. I would love to see a Venom story since they teased it in the post credit scene of No Way Home, I would also like to see a storyline between Peter and Green Goblin and I think it is time for us to see our first live action Miles Morales Spider-Man.
