WandaVision

It is more than you think it is

By Liss SuarezPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

If you haven't watched WandaVision yet, I suggest you start. Right now, it is the most watched TV show. It is available on Disney + every week and all 9 episodes of the first season will be released by March 5th.

WandaVision "Blends the style of classic sitcoms with the MCU in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision -two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives-begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems."- IMDB.

What is the MCU?

"The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films, independently produced by Marvel Studios and based on characters that appear in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The MCU is the shared universe in which all of the films are set. The films have been in production since 2007, and in that time Marvel Studios has produced and released 23 films, with at least 14 more in various stages of development. It is the highest grossing franchise of all time, having grossed over $22.5 billion at the global box office. This includes Avengers: Endgame, which is the highest grossing film of all time." -Google

It features:

Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch

She is a "fictional superhero appearing in American Comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Her first appearance was in the X-Men (an American superhero film series based on the fictional superhero team of the same name, who originally appeared in a series of comic books created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and published by Marvel Comics) #4 in the Silver Age of Comic books." - Google "Scarlet Witch's main power is the superhuman ability to manipulate chaos magic, given to her by the demon Chthon (imprisoned within Wundagore Mountain) when she was born." -www.xmen.fandom.com. She was at one point considered a supervillain when she worked alongside her fraternal brother Pietro Maximoff for the Brotherhood of mutants. -Google

Vision AKA The Vision

"Vision is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is an android created by the villainous robot Ultron to eliminate the Avengers(The Avengers as an organization was emphasized in The Avengers. This film featured Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor being recruited by Avengers' founder Nick Fury to fight, alongside S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Black Widow and Hawkeye, the villain Loki, who leads an invasion of New York City with a Chitauri army), though he quickly turned on his creator to fight for the forces of good as an Avenger." -Google

Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver

"Quicksilver is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in the comic book Uncanny X-Men #4 and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby." He has super sonic speed.

The first few episodes start slow. They feature classic sitcom TV shows with laugh tracks inserted throughout the show. Many Marvel were confused complaining that this wasn't showing what Marvel fans are used to. Many were saying that it was not worth watching due to the first few episodes.

Well I would not advise that. After the 3rd or 4th episode, it does get better, the plot starts coming together. We get to see more of what we are used to seeing when we think of Marvel.

I am excited for what the next few episodes will bring. I know it will not disappoint and if you haven't seen it. Go watch it! You will NOT regret it.
