Season 3 Episode 31 "Goin Hollywood"

In this episode, Cory Baxter (played by Kyle Massey) sits down on the couch with a bowl of popcorn. He watches his show "Better Days" a sitcom that is based on the 1950s family. The sitcom is a parody version of "Happy Days" a classic TV sitcom based on the mid-50s even though the show premiered somewhere in the 1970s. He sings and danced through the catchy theme song. Raven, her friends Chelsea, Eddie and their dad Victor (played by Raven Symone, Anneliese van der Pol, Orlando Brown, and Rondell Sheridan) enters and sees Cory finished singing and dancing the theme song. Awkward!!!!

Before Better Days was about to start the show, the announcer was going to announce the contest winner to win a part to be on the show. Raven has a vision that Cory wins the contest and gets a chance to be on his favorite TV show. Just when Raven was about to tell her dad Victor. Too late, it already came true. At the Hollywood stage sound, we meet Ally Parker, the star of the "Better Days" show playing as Lindy Hopper (played by Alyson Stoner) she dances on set to promote her next episode "Better Days" she'll be getting her first kiss. After she was done, she plays cards with the set crew, meets Cory who is playing the delivery boy on the show, and offers to give Cory coffee until a sound of the television director Dava (played by Jackee Harry) screaming Ally's name, she enters with disappointment after she read on the paper that Ally is heading to public school. She confirms to Dava that the paper about her was true. Ally also implies that she doesn't want to be a star anymore, wants to go to a public school, and be a regular kid. Dava warns Ally that a public school is a horrible place for child stars but Ally is not concerned at all, her cousin Carly is going to the same public school with her and be able to keep an eye on her.

At the school, the hallways and the lockers look exactly the same as Raven's school Bayside High School. Ally and her cousin Carly (played by Allie Grant) enters the school, she talks about her plans to Carly on what she plans until she bumps into Chrissy (played by Skyler Samuels), the mean girl, and her clique Chrissetes.

The dance scene was when Ally and Chrissy take part in the talent show. Arvin introduced both girls Chrissy and Ally as the dance-off finales. The hilarious part was when Chrissy starts to dance the Round 2 dance-off and she uses her hairbrush as a part of her flipping her hair at Ally Parker. It was so dumb. Ally was close to winning the dance-off, she fell off the stage leaving the middle school crowd including her cousin Carly in shock. She bruised her nose but th

The funniest scene was when Raven and Victor sits with the live-taped studio audience before the show was about to begin offered anyone in the audience to show off their talents (pretty much have like a five-minute talent show) until Raven took the mic started to sing her rendition "B-I-N-G-O" in the most gospel type of way.

Cory's performance was awkward but at least he said the word "Delivery". Kind of. Then he tried it again this time he didn't screw up and finally said the word "Delivery". I love how Raven and Victor applauded showing their support to Cory. At the end, Ally let her cousin Carly have her moment.

My thoughts on this episode

This episode is brilliantly hilarious. When I watched the scenes where Ally goes to a public school I nearly have forgotten about the cast of the show. Alyson's debut performance was built with perfection in the episode it made her the star of the show. She has incredible dance moves throughout the dance scenes including the dance-off scene. She could've won if it weren't for her losing her footing. I understand Ally Parker's character this is too familiar to all child stars who want to live their lives as regular people so that is understandable. I thought Raven was hilarious when she was singing her rendition of "B-I-N-G-O". She was doing the utmost being her hilarity self.

I would give this episode 4.5/5.
