Trent Longo is an American movie actor that was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, but traveled and lived in Europe growing up.
Tell us a little about you Trent:
Acting is all about dedication, commitment, and how you transfer creative energy with others. If I am going to put my name on something I want to bring the absolute most I can to it. Understanding the wants and needs of my characters, as well as their background and history helps me live through them. If the context doesn’t exist for the character, I like to create it. Once all of that is understood, one can just simply “be” in the character. I find myself getting into a zone on set as if it is the only place that exists in the world. Simply existing in the moment there. It’s my favorite feeling. It feels transportation.
In life I want to create relationships and pieces of art that touch people. I get so much energy from uplifting and helping other people I always want that intertwined in everything I’m doing. I hope to be the type of person who inspires others to believe in themselves no matter where they come from, or what others say. I also want to have and take on challenging film roles. I want to experience acting in it’s purest and most complex scenarios, and translate those scenarios to people in way that helps them experience the world differently. There are certain films I have watched that have left lasting impressions on me. I hope to do the same for others.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I want to have put myself in a position to produce, write, and star in my own shows. I take a lot of inspiration from shows like “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” because of their origin stories, and the opportunity the actors have gotten from creating it. My goal is to get to a level where I am able to control every aspect of my journey, and help up the people who helped me a long the way. I want to have a couple of challenging roles along the way that have stretched me and pushed me further as an actor, and I want to work alongside as many of the great people who have inspired my journey as an actor as possible. I want to be at a point where I can audition for some of the biggest roles out there, and go toe to toe with some of the most respected in the industry.
What do you bring to the entertainment industry?
What I bring to the entertainment industry is someone with relentless passion for the final product. I have never been the type of person to shy away from a challenge, and I will do whatever it takes to get a great performance out of myself. I revel in the opportunity to get into the nitty gritty of filmmaking. What I also bring, is originality. There are so many copy cats on the internet nowadays just following someone else’s lead with their content. There is so much of an emphasis on constantly putting something out, it is clogging the world with forgettable content. I refuse to do something that is based on formula for views. I want the art to be great.
What type of legacy do you want to leave behind?
The legacy I want to leave behind is much of the same. I want to be remembered as someone who put everything they had into everything they did, someone who lifted others up around them and encouraged them to believe in themselves, and someone who treated everyone with respect, and as an equal. I think it’s important to leave a legacy of not letting others control your story. I also will always be someone who showed and spoke of God and Family, because without either of those two, nothing I will have accomplished would have even been possible.
