3. Lucifer (2016-Present)

Tom Ellis in Lucifer Season 4

Well... if this photo of Tom Ellis from Lucifer Season 4 doesn't make you want to watch it... I don't know what will. On the other hand, I am putting Lucifer at number 3 on this list. Although it was most watched TV show in the US in 2019 (for obvious reasons^), it was not well advertised in other parts of the world. Lucifer is a show based around the devil himself, or 'Lucifer Morningstar', a nightclub owner who he portrays when he decides to leave Hell for Los Angeles. He also decides he wants to be a police informant and take criminal matters into his own hand and punish wrong-doers as he would in Hell, well because he is the DEVIL. The Devil, Nightclub Owner, Police Informant... what could go wrong? You would have to watch and find out for yourself to answer to that question. From Season 1 all the way to Season 4, Lucifer is filled with twists and turns as more of Lucifer's 'family' start making an appearance on Earth instead of being in Heaven or Hell. Not only that, Lucifer is a notorious playboy and loves to sleep around but throughout the show develops strong feelings for his 'partner', detective Chloe Decker of the LAPD, who if you saw her yourself you would fall in love with as well. But wait... there's more! Due to COVID-19, Lucifer season 5 has stopped final production but will still be released towards the end of the year... and that's not all! The show was supposed to have stopped at season 5, but Tom Ellis and supporting staff have reportedly signed on for a 6th season due to the ratings and critically acclaimed 4th season, which in fact does keep you guessing every second. So... if you're after immature comedy, love, sex, alcohol, partying, crime-solving, heaven and hell, Lucifer is definitely the show for you.

P.S. You haven't heard anything yet until you hear the way Lucifer (Tom Ellis) says 'Detective' when addressing Chloe Decker.

2. Peaky Blinders (2013-Present)

Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby) in Peaky Blinders

I am putting Peaky Blinders at number 2 on my list as I had not heard of it until recently. Peaky Blinders is a show set in the late 19th Century that runs through till the mid-20th century about a real-life British crime family of the same name. Set in Birmingham 1919, Cillian Murphy plays Tommy Shelby, the leader of the notorious 'Peaky Blinders' who run a gambling ring as well as run the town and have the police under their payroll. Each main character has their own distinctive role in the show as well as their own sub-story-line which makes it even more entertaining. But none the less, it is mainly about Tommy Shelby and his plans to get his family to the top of the food chain whilst dealing with new-found and powerful enemies in each season. You will fall in love with characters, only to be crushed as you watch them eventually leave the show and ask yourself "WHY HIM/HER???". Peaky Blinders has 4 seasons so far, with the episodes ranging from 6-7 episodes a season and an approximate length of 55 minutes per episode. It is binge watch worthy and being 6-7 episodes in a season, you can watch 1 season of action-packed drama and romance in a day!

1. Breaking Bad (2008-2013)

Breaking Bad is definitely my #1 most under-rated TV show. It is actually one of the best shows I have ever seen (along with Game of Thrones and The Vampire Diaries) along with one of the best scrips I have seen in a TV show. Sadly... sadly...all good things must come to an end and in 2013, Breaking Bad met its end, right as Netflix and other streaming platforms started to get big all over the world! That is why I believe Breaking Bad is #1 on this and why it is binge worthy! Set in America, it tells a story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a high school chemistry teacher with a recent diagnosis of stage-three lung cancer. Knowing he has months left to live, Walter decides to start producing and selling Crystal Meth on the streets to provide for his family's financial future before he dies. Walter has to do all this and make a name for himself on the streets all while avoiding drug lords, the DEA and worst of all... his own WIFE! Breaking Bad is an edge-of-your seat thriller that will leaving you stunned and surprised. The best part of this TV show is Walter White's transformation from being "A soft and cowardly chemistry teacher" to "bad ass on the streets that you don't mess with". A TV show definitely for the ages that will leaving you in disbelief when you finish all 5 seasons.
