Three '90s movies
In as many weeks

15JUL2021; 2330, THU
So, naturally, I don't remember hardly an iota from the previous two classics as much as I do the one with the credits still rolling; and that the above featured image is obviously from. I'd like to take a moment to kick myself in the rear for not rewatching these masterpieces eons ago, back when I was still in!
Seriously tho, why'd no one inform me that a bamma like myself could find so much merriment, as well as all the other feels, from such phenomenal films? The other flicks were Super Mario Bros. ('93), and Poetic Justice (later in '93).
I guess that I'll start this AAR (After Action Review) with some rapid fire questions. In no particular order:
Why's that Mario and Luigi movie so impossible to find? Why doesn't the late, great Tupac Shakur (Rest In Power) get more credit for his screen time?
For that matter, why isn't Pac's Born Day a federal holiday? Why's the sequel and/or updated version of Mario tentatively scheduled for the Fall of 2022?
Why isn't the 2016 sequel to Independence Day available for free streaming on any of my myriad apps? Also, why'd it take exactly two decades for us to have it thrust upon us without even including the living legend Will Smith?
Tom Cruise can return for his star role as an ace military pilot but Smith can't? "Say less."
Granted, Cruise had to wait a bit longer; but cot damn! Based on the trailer and cast list, there really is nothing "holier than Black death"; as alluded to by the femme phenom Noname (formerly NoName Gypsy) back in 2016.
It's to the point that back in February, the Hip Hop artist declared that she would assert the phrase "F*** they [sic] money" on every song from here on out; or "until the Revolution come[s]." Matter of fact: I might could take a cue from her, and keep my streak of mentioning the "holy" quote going til further notice too.
"Don't stop, the body rock!"- the triple OG (Original Gangsta), Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) back in '97. I digress.
"Not for nothing", I most def need for the VA (Veterans Administration) to get off their fourth point of contact (their hind parts) and find me a psychologist, or even a counselor, for "one on one"; so as to help relegate my tear ducts during these random movie marathons and whatnot. I've been asking for a decent amount of time now, I believe.
At this point, I'm bout ready to take a note from what seems to be the Fam playbook and vent to someone in my immediate circle who appears to be halfway decent at keeping a tight lid on it. That's neither here nor there tho.
That last sentence put me at almost exactly 420 words, at least in the rough draft. I just wanna take a moment to say that knowing how trill Shakur was, the dearly departed icon was feasibly puffing on some straight ganja during the filming of the scene where his character was "chiefing".
Whole time: Why in the f*** is his last name not in the autocorrect of all our phones already? Same question for the last word of my most recent paragraph.
I'll wait. While we're at it, tech giants: Ima need the Pan-African flag (red, black, and green) added to all of our devices, like yesterday.
The time is currently 0042 on yet another R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) FRI, and I'm presently reminded that I haven't plugged my apparel brand on this here blog site recently. Currently the only number that is actively present therein is 42.
Tho, I may think about considering the addition of a reference to my upbringing in the beloved '90s. Why not?
In case anyone is intrigued, even in the slightest, it's called War 'N' Tees (WNT). Link: PeacefulTidings.com
Back to the topic at hand: I only teared up slightly, and it was but twice or so. Naturally, it'd be during the film featuring military men and women exhibiting so much Selfless Service; as we referred to it back when I was amongst some of the other Misguided Children of Uncle Sam.
Seeing as I have so many streaming apps, and somewhat of a platform to keep debriefing on, I may just continue to do these arguably mediocre reviews. Stay tuned regardless, if you will.
In conclusion, buy a tee and/or a cap from WNT and I'll love you forever; "no cap". On the real tho, I strongly recommend all three cinema from the Y2K era mentioned in this hodgepodge of a critique.
Either which way, stay blessed (and free)!

Prayerfully, someone somewhere gets something pertinent (re: useful) from this post. If that somebody's you, then please think about considering a Like/Tip/Share, and/or checking out some of my other posts.
TIA (Thx In Advance). Peaceful Tidings.
