Michelle Stafford and Hunter King are rumored to be dissatisfied.

By the time you read this the identity of the soap star who is walking away from her role could have already been made public. I am sharing updates as they become available and this is what we have so far. A blind item was released indicating that a popular actress on daytime television is not satisfied with her role and is walking away. The next news identified that actress as being one of the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL. Yesterday news broke that Phyllis Stafford might be leaving THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and today the word is that it will be an actress on the CBS long running soap but no name has been released.

Laura Wright and Kelly Monaco were the first names given.

The rumor mill first assumed it was Laura Wright leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL because her significant other, Wes Ramsey was no longer with the ABC soap. It was next reported that Kelly Monaco has been disgruntled quite a bit over the years and that Cameron Mathison taking over the role that once belonged to her good friend Billy Miller was the last straw. The reports then indicated that Michelle Stafford was leaving THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS because she does not like the direction of her character Phyllis Stafford. Today spoilers are simply saying that the blind item is pointing to an unnamed actress on Y&R.

The above article indicates that soap spoilers are trying desperately to figure out what lead actress is leaving her current job and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS is in the spotlight. Again I say all of this is rumor and speculation but let's take a look at some of the women in Genoa City just for the sake of argument. First, we shall consider Melody Thomas Scott who portrays Nikki Newman. The wife of the most powerful man in town currently is not involved in any high- profile storylines and basically has lunch with Victoria or chats with Victor.

Next,we have Hunter King who has left the CBS soap to film pilots for other television series. If anyone's storyline has been hijacked it is the love story of Kyle and Summer which has been ruined by Tara Locke and her son Harrison. Perhaps Sharon Chase wanted her character to be with Adam Newman since she is dating Mark Grossman in real-time. Maybe the actresses who portray Mariah, Elena, Amanda, or even Abby do not like the current storylines of their characters.

Hunter King might be on her way out.

Truthfully the disgruntled actress could be anyone on either of the 4 remaining daytime drama shows. Regarding THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS it seems the rumor mill is doing everything but calling out Michelle Stafford's name. It is true that the executive producer hyped the return of Stafford and teased fans that big things were coming for Phyllis. Instead, she has been a busy body and an instigator and nothing significant has been done with her since Stafford reclaimed the role from Gina Tognoni.

As always be on the lookout for updates and spoilers and keep watching THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and GENERAL HOSPITAL for clues in the storylines related to which actress might be on her way out. Until the facts are revealed there will continue to be speculation and rumors and wrong names given. Stay tuned to find out what the truth is whenever it is finally revealed. The Internet makes it pretty easy for any story to be in print whether it is fact or fiction. Fans will have to throw away the bones to get to the meat of this situation and hopefully it will not be much longer.
