The TV Adaption of Vampire Academy is a Mess.

I love how this is working so far.

This TV adaption of Vampire Academy has strayed so much from the book. I am raging about a few things I'm totally upset about it.

The live action is more acceptable to me then this TV adaption. I would be surprised if it makes to season 2.

I have seen the first 8 episodes and let me tell you I'm not amazed. I felt like the storyline is rushed. They killed off a major minor character that never happened. Okay let me put it in last form and my rant with each point on my list.

1: Andre Dragomir hooking up with Tatiana Vogel in the opening: Okay everyone in the book series knows that Andre, Lissa's brother was a player. But to have him hook up with this woman is beyond mortifying. It makes me feel like they wanted to make Andre into a Womanizer all together.

2: Killing off Mikhail Tanner: I know why they did this but it was so unnecessary. This minor character was supposed to bring Sonya Karp back when she turned Strigoi. You killed her lover, then she is pushed over the edge wanting to turn Strigoi so she didn't have to deal with the emotional pain of being a spirit user, and losing her man.

What are the screenwriters thinking goddamn?

Yes I know sex sells, over use of the f bomb, and unnecessary drama when creating a show. God use the authors book as a reference and draw inspiration what the hell people.

3: MAJOR RAGGING OVER THIS: Tatiana Vogel and Dimitri Belikov hook up: This absolutely pissed me off because Dimitri would never hook up with Tatiana in the books. Although in the books someone I can't remember who tries to hook up with I think it was Christian's Aunt but I'm not sure.

4: How Lissa fired Rose from being her Guardian: First of all Novice guardians can't get fired from their future charges. I don't know what they wrote this in. Only a true fan would know this.

Everyone suggests it to be streamed which I have no problem with. I just feel like the screenwriting could have been done better, not sped up whatsoever.

Bloggers commentary:

If the screenwriters would have used the author's novels as a reference but they didn't. It's just craziness.

Will this TV Adaption come to season 2? Will we see more ridiculous storylines? As a fan I hope not.

The only thing I will agree upon, is how they killed off Mikhail Tanner. Because it hurt me so much, knowing what happened to Mikhail remember his demise, and how Sonya took it. The downfall of Sonya Karp what set her over the edge truly heartbreaking.

The cast is outstanding, just the storyline of the show is awful. Can't blame the cast for bad writing.

Maybe I'm over thinking, I don't think so. I feel like as a fan I've become seriously disappointed with this show. All I could ask for is something so much more.
