The Most Episodes I’ve Watched From One Anime
30-Day Anime Challenge: Day 15

Welcome to day 15! I did a 30-day anime challenge last year and had a blast with it. It would be fun to do it again this year. Let’s see if my tastes have changed at all in a year.
Here is day 14 in case you missed it.
The purpose of these challenges is to post a picture, but I, being the extra person I am, will write a blog about each topic.
This differs from what I am used to blogging, which excites me to test my creativity and go back to find the answers to these writing prompts.
Feel free to join me in the comments below! I’d love to hear your answers too!!

Day 15 The Most Episodes I’ve Watched From One Anime
Yes, I am a day late. I unfortunately lost power again for over 2 days this time. Couldn’t do anything about it but wait. So today I am going to post for both days!
I have always struggled with long anime. I found my sweet spot is 12–26 episodes. Anything longer and I would tend to lose interest. Only this past year I have been able to tackle some longer anime and I’m grateful I have. This won’t be a long list, and I haven’t finished all of them.
With all of that let’s get into day 15.

Yu Yu Hakusho
112 episodes and I have finished. I see why people enjoy this show. It’s got unique and creative story arcs, with loveable characters. Personally, It wasn’t my favorite. I am not sure if it’s because of the length, the old-school style (Which I have a hard time with), or the fact it’s not attached to bad memories. I think if you are a Shonen fan this is the perfect anime for you.

Fairy Tail
124 episodes I’ve watched out of 339. I have started and stopped Fairy Tail multiple times. It is a great concept with fun characters, however, it can get repetitive. This is a show I would like to eventually watch but no idea when.

Hunter X Hunter
148 episodes and I have finished it. It was entertaining but it was also just a basic shonen. I got a lot of hate for not being a fan of Jujustiu Keisan but to me, Hunter X Hunter had the same feel. I am not a fan of powers that are so complex you need a narrator to explain every move to follow along. I do think that when a show is hyped I have a harder time enjoying it because the bar in my head is way higher than any anime could meet.
I wouldn’t say I am now a fan of Hunter X Hunter but I am glad that I watched the show and I would recommend it to any Shonen fans.

My Hero Academia
167 episodes and I have watched them all. Not only is this the second longest anime I have watched but it is also the shortest period I have watched a show. I watched the first 6 seasons, all the OVAs, and movies in a week. The writers of My Hero Academia are genius, they keep things fast-paced and leave episodes on cliffhangers to make you want more. I have never binged this many episodes in such a short amount of time. The fact they kept my attention for this many episodes is extremely impressive and says a lot about the creators of this show.
I want to do a series going through the seasons leading up to the final season coming out this year.

One Piece
575 out of 1000+ and I am currently watching. Is it any shock one of the longest anime made it onto the number one spot on this list? So why on earth would I decide to watch one of the longest anime ever created? Well, I caved and watched the live-action adaptation. 8 episodes wasn’t long and I figured what was the harm? It is safe to assume I binged the whole show in one night and was instantly hooked. I am having a blast watching through One Piece even though I have slowed down watching a lot. Will I be able to catch up before April we shall see.
Want to catch up with me?

This might not have been the most exciting list, however, it is fun to see how much I have changed. I am not kidding where the longest show I had watched was 50 episodes and to me that was insane. Now I am finishing over 100 episodes and almost 600 episodes deep on One Piece.
What's the longest anime you have watched? Any you’d recommend?

The Wonderful World of Studio Ghibli
As many people did, I started my Studio Ghibli addiction with the famous spirited away. After watching that masterpiece I was HOOKED! I had to hunt down and watch every movie they created. The creator of most of the films Hayao Miyazaki brought a breathtaking world to our TVs. Every story is unique, and when you rewatch them another meaning comes to light. Character development is in each movie, with strong female leads. Heart-stopping art will make you want to be teleported into the wonderful world of Studio Ghibli.
Bye!!
