BOOM! Our eyes light up when we see our hero land on both feet in the face of evil!

POW! Our hearts pound thunderously in our chests when our favorite masked superhero outshines the villain!

SWOOSH! Wearing a colorful fashion-forward cape, sporting a hairstyle that is never out of place, and radiating a larger-than-life presence of illuminating goodness like professionally installed track-lighting, these god-like beings capture our hearts and ignite our imaginations! If you fan-girl to the giant characters in the Marvel or DC Universes, you’re going to love these real-life heroes and . . . um, heroines.

BAM! RuPaul’s Drag Race brings you the same powerful magic of the superhuman characters we’ve come to know and love! This league of foe-fighting champions will astound you with bright and colorful Vera Wang power suits, lace front hairdos that withstand hurricanes and upstage every foe, warrior-like balance parading in nine-inch spikes in the face of evil, and radiating their Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve, and Talent—C.U.N.T.— that sends bigotry dashing back to the shadows. As Mama Ru says, “When you become the image of your own imagination, it’s the most powerful thing you can do.”

Unlike the short, two-hour length films we wish would never end, Drag Race has thirteen seasons with more than one hundred and fifty guardians of truth, justice, and the American way. The universe of the drag queen differs, though, in that violence is abhorred and tirelessly replaced with love in every spellbinding minute. “Everybody say ‘love!’” Nonetheless, these painted beauties are just as much a superhero in the eyes of millions as any of their fellow fantasy-filled avatars.

How are drag artists comparable to the likes of Superman, the X-men, Captain Marvel, or Wonder Woman? Regarding their imaginative and powerful appearance, look no further than the champion of season 1: BeBe Zahara Benet. Her alter-ego is a mild-mannered Cameroonian American performer known as Nea Marshall Kudi Ngwa. BeBe’s powerful charisma radiates from a towering stature in catwalk-drilling stilettos, ever-changing hairdos that stretch high into the sky, a smoky eye that hides any indication of her secret identity, and the illusion of enchanting vocal skills. Clearly, she looks like a superhero and sounds like . . . well, looks like she sounds like one, too!

Superheroes fight for what is just, honest, and good. In every episode, you will see expositions of the evils these do-gooders survived and from which they derived their strength. Consider Miss Peppermint, the runner-up of season 9: after being bullied and beaten by her high school basketball team, she found herself in a circle of love, surrounded by her classmates. Afterward, she entered the world of the drag arts and has since been fighting for trans rights and visibility. Peppermint has never relied on a secret identity, like Black Panther of Wakanda. And just like her Marvel Universe counterpart, Peppermint is dedicated to championing the underrepresented.

Do you cheer for the flexible prowess of Reed Richards? Then you'll be spellbound by any of these queens as they lip-sync for their lives. Why is that, you ask? As RuPaul explains, “due to the fact that her thighs spread just like peanut-peanut-peanut-peanut-peanut-peanut-peanut-peanut butter!”

Does your heart melt when your favorite hero remembers the downtrodden? Then grab your tissues for each season finale as Mama Ru pays homage to the oppressed and defeated. “Hey, Porkchop!”

Just like Wonder Woman and her sisters of Themyscira, these Glamazonian warriors sharpen their skills and face challenges in The Work Room . . . Room . . . Room. And with the same bravado of Superman issue #75 that ushered in Reign of the Supermen, each episode concludes with the sashaying away of one of these queens. But have no fear! Multitudes have been resurrected in the celebrated spin-off Drag Race All-Stars!

Finally, the pièce de résistance of Marvel Universe fanatics the world over is the cameo appearances of its beloved creator, Stan Lee. Have no fear here, my friends! RuPaul Charles himself/herself makes an appearance in each and every episode, too! (However, she's yet to wear a cameo with any of her gowns and it would be a fashion faux pas on one of his Klein Epstein and Parker custom-made suits . . . but that's not important.) “Look over there!”

With 19 Emmy wins, including a record-breaking five for Ru in the category for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program, this show has spread to Canada, the UK, Thailand, and Down Under and its popularity shows no signs of slowing down. “Up, Up, and Away!”

After you start watching Drag Race, your superhero fan friends will be jealous of your boogie. “Bring Back My Girls,” you'll shout week after week! As Rupaul’s franchise manifests new, fresh versions in other countries you'll MARVEL at how effortlessly Ru is strategically taking over the UNIVERSE. A SUPERMODEL is a superhero!

Not yet available on Glamazon . . . which is also not yet available—yet.
