The Glory Ending Explained: Now What's Next?

This thriller or suspenseful Kdrama follows the life of a girl named Moon Doong-eun, who is blinded by the fire of vengeance after suffering a fate worse than death.

At the beginning of the drama, Doong-eun reaches Semyeong City in 2022 after traveling a long way, where she is thinking about seeing the bungalow in front of her.

After some time, she goes to her room. And there are pictures of people she probably wanted to exact revenge on.

In the next scene, we see very dangerous wounds on Doong-eun's body. She is talking to Park Yeon Jin as if she missed him a lot, and then suddenly, Park Yeon Jin comes from behind Doong-eun, and both of them talk. After getting angry, Doong-eun attacks Park Yeon Jin and says that this is just the beginning, but it is all in Doong-eun's imagination.

Then the scenes shift to the era of 2004, when Doong-eun or Park Yeon Jin used to study together in school. Yeon Jin, along with his bad friends Son, Choi, Sa-ra, or Jae Joon, used to bully Doong-eun very brutally.

Because of this, Doong-eun's life had become a living hell.

The Glory Ending Explained

When Doong-eun reported against them one day, everyone got away easily because the parents of those spoiled kids were very rich and could buy everyone.

No one stand by Doong-eun, so she forcefully decides to leave the school and blames those bullies for leaving the school, because of which Kim beats Doong-eun a lot.

To protect her daughter from slander, Yeon Jin's mother bought Doong-eun's mother with money; now Doong-eun was standing all alone in a fight that did not end well.

Then, after leaving school, Doong-eun Eu is living her life doing different jobs, and one day she goes back to her school and meets all those people who bullied her very badly, including Park Yeon Jin.

Doong Eu says to all of them, "I will meet you once again; I dream of you guys." Yeon Jin was proud that no one could go against him, but time passes, and in 2006, Doong-eun, along with working in a garment factory, is in a dilemma about continuing her studies.

After many difficulties, Doong-eun finally gets advice and admission, too, because now that she is young, she is capable of making better decisions.

The story again comes to the present, where Doong-eun is talking to Yeon Jin's daughter Ye-sol, telling the story of her troubles, but that little girl does not understand anything.

Now Park Yeon Jin has become a news anchor whom Doong-eun is watching on TV, and the scenes shift to 2012, where Doong-eun Eu finds all his enemies through one of his friends with the help of Facebook.

Son Myeong-oh is still regarded as Jae Joon's servant.

Sa-ra becomes a painter, and Myeong-oh supplies her drugs.

While Park Yeon Jin or Joon's affair is ongoing, Park Yeon Jin is about to marry in a few days, and Hye becomes an air hostess who used to dance on the fingers of those spoiled rich people because they were close.

Doong-eun tells her friend Song that those people have tortured her so much that she has no choice but to kill them brutally, and then she collapses from dizziness.

Then in the hospital, his eyes open in front of Yeo Jung, who was lying on her side, he is becoming a doctor, and then, after seeing the reports of Doong-eun's weakness, he starts looking for him because Doong-eun had left the place as soon as he regained consciousness.

Doong-eun clings to Park Yeon Jin's wedding, and she is also very happy.

Jae Joon kills Myeong-oh because he was getting drunk and was afraid that he might get trapped.

Doong-eun sees some people playing a game called GO, where Yeo confronts him and tells Doong-eun to take care of his weakness.

Doong-eun wanted to learn to play Go, so to meet him again and again, Yeo starts teaching him by telling himself that he is the champion of this game. Go is a game whose war is fought silently and destroys each other's house.

Yeo wishes Doong-eun luck on his teaching exams now that it is 2015 and Doong-eun has become a teacher. On the other hand, Park Yeon Jin becomes a mother, but her husband Do Young is unaware of her actions.

In the present, Son Myeong-oh recognizes Doong-eun while shopping at Jae Joon's shop; when he starts looking at Doong-eun with evil eyes, she provokes him by calling him a pet dog and tells him to direct his rage elsewhere. Doong-eun's gesture was towards Jae Joon, whose son Myeong-oh is a slave.

Doong-eun goes to pick up Park Yeon Jin's garbage at night, from which she gets some clues from small pieces, but she is caught by the maid.

Maid tells Doong-eun that she will help him in his cause, but in return, Doong-eun will have to kill Maid's husband, who tortures him and his daughter Seon.

Finally, a deal is confirmed between Doong-eun and that maid, and Doong-eun asks her to collect the news of Park Yeon Jin or his family after seeing a camera or car, as well as give teaching to that maid's daughter Seon, due to which the maid is very happy and becomes happy.

Doong-eun learns that Park Yeon Jin's daughter has color blindness, and then he remembers that one day in school, Jae Joon beat up a boy for making fun of his color blindness.

And Doong-eun suspects that Ye-sol is Jae Joon's daughter.

Then it is revealed that Doong-eun learned GO in order to get close to Do Young, who is obsessed with the game; Doong-eun used to win matches by making good bets in front of him, which impressed Do Young.

With the help of Maid, Doong-eun becomes the school's teacher after Ye-sol's school principal threatens to reveal the secret of his being gay.

After a long ride on the train, Yeon runs into Doong-eun, whom Doong-eun had ignored while he liked her. Doong-eun tells Yeon that she is planning a journey on which there is no scope for friends.

Doong-eun lures Myeong-oh into the mirror to use it for her own benefit as revenge.

Jae Joon's hair samples are ordered from Myeong-oh.

And he claims that before doing so, they all bullied a girl and threw her out of the building.

Doong-eun tells Myeong-oh that she has nothing to lose while she has everything to destroy, but in her heart she thinks that Myeong-oh will end when the time comes.

Then Doong-eun surprises everyone by making a grand entry in a school ceremony.

On receiving Park Yeon Jin's award, Doong-eun applauds loudly and congratulates him, and then Yeon Jin gets down from the stage and slaps Doong-eun, but she is smiling, thinking of her revenge in her heart, and believes that from now on, Yeon Jin's days will be nothing short of hell.

Jae Joon orders Myeong-oh to keep an eye on Doong-eun, and Yeon Jin learns through his daughter that Doong-eun Eu is his daughter's new class teacher.

Yeon Jin goes to her daughter's school and meets Doong-eun. She says that this is not a coincidence; there is definitely a purpose behind it. Doong-eun Eu smiles and says that the journey to get here was very difficult and fun.

Yeon Jin was afraid that he might harm his daughter in return, but Yeon Jin could not get Doong-eun out of school even if she wanted to.

She starts returning home, and only then does a message come on her phone saying that Kim, the old teacher who covered up her misdeeds, has died.

Now it is revealed that when Doong-eun went to meet Kim, he panicked and attacked him.When Doong-eun Eu tells everything to his son, he kills his father to save himself from his infamy.

Myeong-oh gives Sa-ra's drug account, book, or list of Hye's boyfriends on the condition of not betraying Doong-eun.

When Myeong-oh inquires, Doong-eun states that there is a match in their hair, implying that Ye-sol is Jae Joon's daughter.

At the behest of Doong-eun, Myeong-oh goes to the mortuary and inquires about a locker in which the dead body of a girl has been kept for ten years.

Park Yeon Jin, Jae Joon, and Sa-ra bullied and murdered the girl.

As soon as Doong-eun learns that Do Young is looking for her, she goes to him and wins a lot of money by playing a match with him, after which Do Young or their friendship starts moving forward.

Maid informs Doong that she is keeping an eye on everyone and is about to steal Hye's phone. Doong praises him for his bravery, and the maid smiles as she takes his picture with the camera. Doong-eun then flashes back to when a lady doctor photographed his wounds.

Yeon Jin had kept her daughter Ye-sol's colour blindness a secret from everyone, including her husband Young, until now. Now that Yeon Jin knows that Doong-eun knows all this, she gets nervous and has to give Doong-eun his asking price. She gets ready, but Doong-eun refuses her offer.

Maid is successful in stealing Hye's phone as well as her password. Hye goes to another country and finds out that her phone has been exchanged with someone.

Sa-ra is in the church, and she is shocked to see Doong-eun. Doong-eun has proof of all his illegal deeds, through which she blackmails Sa-ra and orders a bag to be filled with dollars.

Doong-eun messages Yeo for the first time, and Yeo happily goes to meet him. Doong-eun apologises for always being rude, and Yeo says he will support her in whatever war she is fighting. She says that she does not need a prince but a warrior who will take up the sword for her.

In Myeong-oh's ear, when Doong-eun reveals the name of the murderer of the bullied girl, he is happy because he was looking out for his own benefit then.

Myeong-oh invites everyone to meet him because he is going somewhere, but someone kills him in the night. When Myeong-oh disappears, everyone becomes suspicious, and Jae Joon's valuables also disappear.

When Sa-ra doesn't get the drugs, she runs away, and Do Young receives a parcel containing a picture of her and Doong-eun standing at a store. He becomes suspicious of Myeong-oh, so he goes to Jae Joon to find out about her.

Do Young sees the same secret packet in Jae Joon's hand that his wife, Yeon Jin, smokes. Jae Joon tells him that he himself is looking for Myeong-oh.

Yeo comes to stay at the same place to be near Doong-eun. Doong-eun tells Yeo everything about his revenge at night, during which a depressed Yeo tries to stop him but also promises to support him.

Jae Joon had the toothpaste that Doong-eun sent, and when Jae Joon comes to know that Ye-sol is his daughter, he gets shocked because Yeon Jin married D. Young by hiding such a big thing.

Hye also receives a parcel containing pictures of all her boyfriends, after which she gets upset, seeing her upcoming marriage in danger.

Sa-ra also gets upset and gives Doong-eun a bag full of dollars.

Doong-eun shows Yeo the scars on her body and tells Yeo that she is not going to back down but will be at peace by erasing all of them.

Yeo's father was killed by a power patient, after which the killer used to send Yeo scary letters from jail. Now that Yeo's mother knows about this, she understands her son's problem.

Yeon Jin comes to Jae Joon's house in panic, as she came to know that her husband, Do Young, had gone to meet Jae Joon.

Unfortunately, Jae Joon is not at home when Yeon Jin comes to visit him, as he has gone to school to visit his daughter Ye-sol.

When Jae Joon notices Ye-sol is unable to distinguish between the colours of traffic lights, he quickly hugs her.

Sa-ra or Hye comes to Yeon Jin to talk about something Myeong-oh-related, but seeing the colour of Yeon Jin's face, it seems as if she definitely knows something, but neither of them wanted to get into trouble because of Myeong-oh's disappearance. Sa-ra was afraid that if the police were involved, the mystery of her drugs would also unfold.

Jae Joon's lawyer tells him that he can take custody of Ye-sol only if Do Young or Yeon Jin get divorced because Do Young is legally her father.

Some goons deliberately hit Doong-eun's car, and after being told by the maid, it is known that those goons work for Yeon Jin's mother.

Doong-eun remembers that when he told Myeong-oh the name of the dead girl's killer, which was something Jin did, he became overjoyed as his intention was to blackmail Yeon Jin to get the money so Yeon Jin must have killed him.

When Yeon Jin goes to meet Jae Joon again, Jae Joon provokes her to spit out the truth by choking her throat, but Yeon Jin doesn't say anything except that Ye-sol's new class teacher is Doong-eun.

Jae Joon tells her that Ye-sol is his daughter, and then he kisses her.

The next day at school, Do Young or Jae Joon confront each other at the parent-teacher meeting. Jae Joon blurts out that Ye-sol's class teacher is a very good friend of his.

Jae Joon threatens Doong-eun to stay away from Ye-sol, then Doong-eun slaps her, and when Doong-eun tells him that he sent the toothbrush to his house, Jae Joon is shocked.

She also threatens Hye to ruin her marriage and makes her shiver at her feet.

Do Young comes to ask Hye about the past between Yeon Jin and Doong-eun, and when Hye tells him that Yeon Jin was a bully but leaves to tell the rest of the story from Doong-eun's mouth, Do Young becomes very upset.

Do Young goes to Go Ground to find Doong-eun, where he meets Yeo, and they become good friends.

At night, Yeo or Doong-eun will sit and discuss this.

Do Young inquires about Doong-eu, but she responds that it is better to trust Yeon Jin than to uproot the standing dead, knowing that Yeon Jin's hatred of Doong-eun could not be for a trivial matter.

Jae Joon tells Yeon Jin the next day to leave Do Young, i.e., her husband, so that he can have Ye-sol.

Doong-eun is thinking that Yeon Jin will be punished for all his crimes at the same time because she has come to know that Yeon Jin is Myeong-oh's murderer.

Hye files Myeong-oh's missing report on Doong-eun's advice, during which Sa-ra becomes very angry at Hye for fear of her drug mystery unfolding.

Doong-eun hands the maid a large sum of money in a suitcase and tells her that she is sending her daughter Seon to study abroad; the maid becomes emotional upon seeing Doong-eun's big heart.

Doong-eun further says that all this is because when she kills the maid's husband, Seon should stay away.

Do Young calls Doong-eun and now starts to tell him all the truth, and as soon as Yeon Jin comes to know that Doong-eun is living in the building in front of her, she breaks the lock on his room and enters inside.

Seeing his and others' pictures on the wall, his face rises.

Doong-eun tells Young that the story is very painful, and only then will she not be able to tell it.

Do Young asks Doong-eun if he learned Go game to get closer to him, then Doong-eun says yes, and they start talking.

Seeing the pictures present in Doong-eun's room, Yeon Jin thinks that Doong-eun should have been killed during his school days when the door opens and Young comes near him, which causes Yeon Jin to get completely shocked.

Then we are shown Doong-eun doing his new move on Go, and this kdrama ends here.

Conclusion
