The Bold and the Beautiful Update: Thomas Forrester returns to LA with a previous agenda on his mind

Thomas has the wrong thing on his mind

Matthew Atkinson has been away from The Bold and the Beautiful ever since his wife gave birth to their child almost a year ago. He made a few brief appearances, but spoilers say he is headed back to LA as Thomas Forester for a longer stint.

The last time he returned home, Thomas was engaged to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). Spoilers don't mention her, so perhaps they have broken up. Fans did not believe the relationship was real and will soon find out the status.

There has been no mention of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samuri) returning with his dad so that status is also up in the air. What is known is that Thomas will pick up where he left off by meddling in the affairs of others.

Brooke will be the focus

Thomas has made no secret about his disdain for Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). The two seemed to be on better terms before he left the country, but when he returns, he will have an agenda where his former stepmom and almost mother in law is concerned.

A preview shows Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) listening as her son says why Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) should remain with his mother. Dr. Hayes has attempted to play the shrink with Ridge by telling him she understands why he and Brooke grew close after he saved her from drowning. This is her way of deflecting from facing reality.

What Taylor and Thomas don't know is that "Bridge" shared a passionate kiss in Italy, and Ridge told his "Logan" he was going to make things right with her. Brooke is getting impatient because her "destiny" is not being fulfilled. Now that Thomas has returned, he will resume trying to keep his parents together and get Brooke out of the picture.

Has living in Paris changed Thomas

In the past, Thomas has manipulated Hope Logan (Anikka Noelle) and gone to extreme lengths to get Brooke away from his father. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline Wood) will be returning home at some point, and fans say the siblings need to mind their business and stay out of their parents' lives.

Taylor knows deep down that Ridge is only with her on the rebound, but Thomas and Steffy fill her mind with hope that she can hold onto her former spouse. Has Thomas changed since living in Paris, or is he still capable of sinking to low levels to get rid of his former stepmother?

Fans had assumed that Ridge would drop Taylor as soon as he returned to LA, but that did not happen. Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) have let Taylor know they believe Ridge belongs with Brooke, but with Thomas back in town, Dr. Hayes will have new hope.

Thomas and Steffy may be disappointed

The writers seem to be playing the long game with the Bridge reunion, but fans have no doubt it will come. Some B&B fans thought Brooke might accept Nick Maroni's (Jack Wagner) marriage proposal and ring out of exasperation that Ridge won't commit to her.

Thomas and Steffy will no doubt be in their father's ear, trying to encourage him to remain with their mother. They will also convince Taylor that things will work out in her favor. One or both of their children may even suggest that the doctor and the dressmaker push up their wedding date.

Eventually, Ridge will admit that it's Brooke that he desires and disappoint his children and their mother. Until then, those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful say they do not desire to see Thomas or Steffy interfering in their mother and father's lives again.
