She-Hulk Episode 1 Review
A strong first episode to this unique show.

After getting into a car crash with her cousin Bruce Banner, causing some of his gamma-infused blood to enter her system. Jennifer Walters now has to balance her life as an attorney and her newfound powers and advanced abilities as She-Hulk. This Episode follows Jen as she learns the way of the hulk from, finding about all the ups and downs of life as a superhero.
I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. I have always liked hulk but he was never one of my favourites. I definitely wasn't expecting to absolutely fall in love with this episode. It's quirky, fun and does a great job at really engaging the reader.
After this episode I seriously can't imagine anyone other than Tatiana Maslany in the role of Jen Walters, She-Hulk. She brings a unique take to the character which totally works for me. This is the definition of perfect casting. She did a great job at bringing this character to life.

The relationship between Jen and Bruce was so realistic and relatable. The chemistry between Tatiana and Mark is out of this world. Who knew they would work so well together on screen. I felt like I was watching real family interact with each other. They acted like family, and even fought like family in hulk form which, by the way was so fun to watch. Fighting like little kids, but as hulks and absolutely demolishing everything around them in the process was so entertaining to watch and reminded me of how I used to play fight with my siblings. Watching Jen flawlessly complete the trials of being a hulk that Bruce struggled with is so funny. I loved watching him get slowly more and more frustrated every time she easily completes a task.
I'm glad we learned more about what Bruce did during the blip and how smart Hulk was created because we never saw or learned how he merged forms during the time between Infinity War and Endgame. After seeing him as Bruce in Shang-Chi, I was left wondering how he returned back to his human form and this show gave a great explanation.
I like the mentioning of Steve, Natasha and Tony. Especially learning that Tony helped Bruce build the lab, beach house and bar. I've always loved their friendship in the films so, I was very happy to learn more about the "science bros". Also, seeing their initials on the bar table just reminded me all over again how much I truly miss not only tony but all three original Avengers.
I wish the introduction of Jameela Jamil as Titania was longer and more detailed. It took place at the very end of the episode which leads me to believe episode to will be a bit more focused on her.
The breaking of the 4th wall was so cool! We've seen only a handful of characters briefly glance at the camera but, this is the first time someone has actually interacted with us, the audience. Jen even mentions at one point that she is in a show. Not to mention how Tatiana flawlessly pulled off this shift in character, proving to everyone how talented and versatile of an actor she truly is.
This was an incredibly strong start to this series and will definitely go down as one of my favourite first episodes of an MCU show. I'm extremally exited to dive into the lawyer aspect of this show in upcoming episodes ad learn how Jen Walters balances both crazy parts of her life. I can't wait to see how the story continues throughout the series
