Record of Ragnarok, Fight Predictions: Humans Win!
Spoilers!!! Read at your own risk!! You have been warned!

Everyone has been talking about the new Netflix Anime Record of Ragnarok. One of the reasons that this is such a big thing to be talked about is because of how new and little popularity it had before this. I have seen images of it over the last 2 years but didn’t know what they were from exactly because I was dealing with other things. It had a small but steadily growing fan base. Not even 50 chapters yet at this point. Not only that, the first season takes up 3 of the 6 fights that have already happened. The 6th fight isn’t finished yet. But with a premise like this is simply something I couldn’t pass up on watching either. I watched it like 5 times before I couldn’t get enough of the series & had to start reading it. I am going to keep up with it till the end too. It’s a gladiatorial 1v1 fight to the death between actual Deities from all the religious cultures from around the world with some pretty accurate depictions of the Deities as Anime characters with some slight changes going up against The Best Humanity has to offer throughout all of human history in a fight to the death. It’s so simple and yet surprisingly deep for something that’s just a brutal hype fight show.
So, long story short, if you just want to know what fights humanity wins and which ones the God’s win, then nothing but Spoilers Ahead.
Humanity wins:
1st - Poseidon Vs Sasaki Kojiro: Sasaki Kojiro won his match.
2nd - Hercules Vs Jack the Ripper: Jack the Ripper won his match.
3rd - Hajun (Anti-Buddha) Vs Buddha: Buddha is going to win his match.
4th - Apollo (god of archery) Vs Simo Häyhä: Simo Häyhä wins.
5th - Anubis Vs Grigori Rasputin: Grigori Rasputin wins.
6th - Susano’o no Mikoto (lower Chinese god of storms) Vs Nikola Tesla: Nikola Tesla wins.
7th - King Leonidas vs Odin: King Leonidas wins.
The Gods wins:
1st - Thor Vs Lu bu: Thor wins.
2nd - Zeus Vs Adam “First Human”: Zeus wins.
3rd - Shiva Vs Raiden Tameemon: Shiva wins.
4th - Loki Vs Michel Nostradamus: Loki wins.
5th - Beelzebub (s?) Vs Qui Shi Huang, Kintoki & possibly others, but it all counts as one win: Beelzebub (s?) Win.
6th - Back-up picks: The Gods win.
If you want to know the fight order and my predictions on the fight order, Here.
Fight Order:
1st Match - Thor Vs Lu bu: Thor wins.
2nd Match - Zeus Vs Adam “First Human”: Zeus wins.

4th Match - Hercules Vs Jack the Ripper: Jack the Ripper won his match.
5th Match - Shiva Vs Raiden Tameemon: Shiva wins.
6th Match - Hajun (Anti-Buddha) Vs Buddha: Buddha is going to win his match.
From here on out, I am going to use all the data provided above (Head of Pantheon’s will win & All the Humans that win are winning because they are going up against a lower-level deity) to predict a possible fight order for the rest of the series.
7th match - Apollo (god of archery) Vs Simo Häyhä: Simo Häyhä wins.
8th match - Loki Vs Michel Nostradamus: Loki wins.
9th match - Anubis Vs Grigori Rasputin: Grigori Rasputin wins.
10th match - Susano’o no mikoto (lower Chinese god of stroms) Vs Nikola Tesla: Nikola Tesla wins.
11th match - Beelzebub (s?) Vs Qui Shi Huang, Kintoki & possibly others, but it all counts as one win: Beelzebub (s?) Win.
12th match - Back-up picks. Again the gods win this one no matter what.
13th match - King Leonidas vs Odin: King Leonidas wins.
But, this isn’t enough for me. I think I can predict the perfect weapons for the Human Representatives and possible events that will happen during the rest of the series. I will do this all as I explain each fight & the symbolism inside each fight. It’s all pretty on the nose & simplistic. That’s the beauty of the series. To be simplistic enough to just watch and enjoy the series.
Next, we are going to quickly go over the entire premise of the series before we get into the fights for anyone who might not fully understand what’s going on or for those who want to know why the Gods & Humanity are fighting.
In this series, all religious Pantheon’s exist & coexist. All of their stories are real & happened. Every 1000 years the Gods all get together and vote on if humanity gets to live for another 1000 years. The gods are pretty much the sole reason why anything & all major events that happens to us. Lost of civilizations, extinction events, all the way down to daily misfortune, & our inspirations. While all have free will for the most part the gods are the ones that actually let change & progression happen. The series tells us that the Gods but in this fighting tournament clause into their rule book as a joke. Saying that Gods don’t actually believe a human can kill, much less even stand toe to toe with a god in a fight. This fighting tournament clause is called Ragnarok.
This is going to be fun. Let’s begin!
They used real-world lore from both mythology & Historical lore to create their matchups, these character looks, and their outcomes.
1st Match: Thor Vs Lu bu, Thor wins.
Why does he win? Because he is the Head of the Norse Pantheon. Yeah, with Odin being in the series, you think it would be him, but nope. It’s been recorded in Norse Lore that Odin dies at Ragnarok. That’s why his fight is going to be last as well. Thor is said to survive Ragnarok & become King of Asgard. He is also a historical Red Head as well as Odin.
Why was Lu Bu picked to lose this match?
When Lu Bu reign supreme, he was considered a Dragon in human flesh. In all of his lore, myths, & modern adaptations you see of him he has something on him that makes him look like a dragon. In Norse Mythology at Ragnarok, Thor goes up against a massive serpent that is supposed to be able to wrap the world multiple times. This world serpent, named Jörmungandr if the son of Loki & looks similar to some Chinese dragons. Only Thor was strong enough to beat Jörmungandr at Ragnarok.
Lu Bu is a human representation of Jörmungandr. You can tell by his tattoos, his mouth when he smiles, his facial hair, his scars, and his fearless attitude. They all have areas where they overlap to be the representation of both. That plus he was matched with Thor & Thor won. It makes perfect sense that Lu Bu lost. He was always set to lose.
2nd Match: Zeus Vs Adam “First Human”: Zeus wins
Zeus is the unbeatable head of the Greek Pantheon. The God that stands at the top for a reason. They nailed his love for equality/fairness. If you noticed every time something was fair & balanced, he was happy & even excited. When a god lost, he was angry but kept fair to the rules. At the end of the series, it is going to be Zeus, Thor, Buddha, & Shiva who makes sure the rest of the Gods hold up to their end. They nailed his perverseness and I love his Mohawk.
Adam “First Human” on the other hand is different. This is the only human that is being used in the series that doesn’t actually exist in how he is presented. Instead, they use lore from the Abrahamic religions for his character design. This, I believe, wasn’t a bad choice as it makes a statement about how much knowledge the Viewers (Us) actually have. The original Humans were never “white & blonde”. They actually were black with black hair. It’s a statement on both whitewashings that the Abrahamic religions caused & was the best way to get white people to not feel excluded. The backlash that would have happened if they made Adam black would have been massive. They choose the more safe option on this one & I don’t blame them since the Abrahamic religions are some of the most violent religions in the world.
With Adam being the first human, he is also an unknown being. Him losing makes sense cause we don’t know enough about him to let him be a winner. His being given Brass Knuckles makes sense since he would have only been able to fight with his hands instead of weapons. Plus, since this is a very inaccurate depiction of white-washed Adam, he was never going to him. Just put up a good fight. If you don’t believe me about Adam being Black, look up the AdamGene & EveGene. The divine reflection special ability was a spot-on way to give to the lore of “made in a god’s image”.
3rd Match: Poseidon Vs Sasaki Kojiro: Sasaki Kojiro won his match.
Why did Poseidon lose? Simply put, he wasn’t a head of a Pantheon. He has an interesting design that broke away from the more accurate representation of the God. They have more creative freedoms with Losers.
That being said, his opponent Sasaki, history’s biggest loser and the person who mastered the art of mental combat training. It’s a real style of training that shadow boxing gets its roots from. He died young but was only killed by a legendary swordsman who said that Sasaki was one of his hardest fights in his prime. It’s insane to think that someone who only loses could only be killed by the best. There isn’t a lot of lore that can be found about Sasaki, so they ended up being able to take a small amount of creative freedoms here as well. But they are making someone almost forgotten to time & giving them new life. One hell of a way to honor the greatest “loser” in history with a win at Ragnarok! His super-human ability to evaluate his opponent was a great way to showcase the experience he has gained.
With that, we have finished up the first Season of Record of Ragnarok.
The next match is in the Manga where we get to see the 4th Match - Hercules Vs Jack the Ripper: Jack the Ripper won his match.
This match was amazing and beautiful! So, why did Hercules lose? You guessed it! He wasn’t a Head of a pantheon & they needed a beloved character on the gods’ side to lose. The tie-up in the score at this point gives a psychological affect to both sides to show how serious things are getting losing 2 gods back to back. Proving that this isn’t going to be the landslide they thought it was.
With Jack’s win, he proves that you can outwit the gods, he lies, uses clever tactics, and traps to win his fight. They gave him a really well-done back story as well. They proved that the best of us also means the worst of us. His perfect weapons were absolute genius. Because again, it proves what they were talking about in the series earlier when talking about divine weapons. It’s not just the gods that have powers, but their weapons give them Divinity as well. But what really got me was the fantastic ability they gave him to read people. I won’t go into it here, but it fits in well with all the other abilities that have been given to most of the characters so far.
Why does Jack win? Cause he was never caught. That’s the simplistic way of putting it. Technically, that means he has a win over history. Hercules has been shown to lose multiple times throughout his stories. The most undefeated human in history takes this one.
They have all been ways to read their opponents. Copying & understanding body language along with reading people in a variety of different ways, they are starting to showcase a theme for the humans’ unique talents.
Then we get to the next match.
5th Match - Shiva Vs Raiden Tameemon: Shiva wins.
This is the match that changed things up a bit. This match is what proved to me that it was going to only be the head of pantheons that are going to always win. This fight was more about backstories, setting up lore, setting up what’s coming, confirming the fight order (to me), & the winning order. If it wasn’t for this well-written fight, I wouldn’t have figured out the rest of this.
Shiva is one of the 3 head deities of Hindu religions. Just off that alone, we know he is going to win. He has had two fights taken from him at this point, so he is really worked up and ready to fight. Plus he is a god of destruction & has 4 arms. If you’re a really good fighter and have 4 arms, then you beat the really good fighter that has 2 arms. I am glad he won this fight too, as I liked him more personally.
Raiden Tameemon was a very good pick from history. They wrote him well, and he is probably my favorite character introduced into the series so far. The Valkyrie he was partnered with was also one of my favorites. I am disappointed I didn’t get to see more of them before the fight and see a bit more of a relationship blossom between those two. I would honestly like to see the backstories of some of the Valkyries and see why their personalities would match up so well with their human partners. His super-human abilities affected his own body instead of being able to read others. It was a great choice and give me a bit more information about what the possibilities humans we haven’t seen yet are.
Now we are at the current match going on in the series, 6th Match - Hajun Vs Buddha: Buddha is going to win his match.
Buddha is the head of a pantheon. I wasn’t expecting him to be on the humans' side like he was fighting for the humans against the gods. It makes perfect sense after you stop for a minute and think about it. Buddha has always been for protecting & enlightening humans. It makes no sense for him of all people to want them gone.
In Hindu mythology, there is an anti-buddha called Hajun. His job was to pull people away from enlightenment and was Buddha’s biggest antagonist, who almost pulled Buddha into the Darkness. But Buddha ended up prevailing. We this this with Buddha losing his cool in the lastest chapter. That’s all I can say about this fight for now. I hope it finishes before the next season airs. This fight has been amazing the whole way through, and I can’t wait for the next chapter to drop.
Now that we have both the Anime & Manga out of the way, I can go into the world of theories and what’s to come.
7th match - Apollo (god of archery) Vs Simo Häyhä: Simo Häyhä wins.
Apollo hasn’t been introduced yet, but the creators have dropped images of Simo. This leads me to believe he is the next fight.
If you don’t know who Apollo is, he is the sun god with the flying chariot from Greek mythology. He is also a god of Archery, making him a perfect match-up for the deadliest sniper in all of human history. The White Death has a total of 500 kills in active duty for his country. I wish I was exaggerating. This man is terrifying.
With much history and lore on Simo Häyhä and Apollo being a lesser deity, based on past fights, I know for sure Simo is going to win this one.
I think they are going to change the environment for this one as well to both suits them since they are long-range fighters.
Based on the weapons everyone has received so far, we can for sure know that he is going to have something amazing that will completely compliment his unique talent and skills. He is a sniper. At first, you might think his perfect weapon might be a sniper rifle. But I think that’s way too easy. Then you realize that whatever he uses has to be able to kill the god. In order to figure out what his weapon is going to be, we will have to figure out what his unique super talent is. I personally think it’s going to be around ability that has to do with his eyes. He is going to be able to see details that no one else would be able to see. His eyes are going to be able to see arrows flying at him head-on without a problem. He is going to be able to notice slight changes in wind pressure, that’s my anime fan prediction.
So, what is his weapon going to be? I think he is going to get something that’s going to make him have infinite ammonium that’s divine like a shape-changing clip/magazine but then I realized that if he lost his Valkyrie, he would be a goner. Then I thought about a shape-changing gun with infinite ammonium. This one makes more sense. But I could still be wrong. So, let’s look at what else is useful for a sniper. They need camouflage. But that wouldn’t be as useful for this fight, unfortunately, cause camouflage works best when you can set yourself up a bit beforehand to surprise people. This is a 1 on 1 fight. My next thought was a scope. One that would make anything in his line-of-sight something he can kill. Then I realized something that was said in passing. “She is the only Valkyrie with 2 powers & 2 personalities”. This means that there are Valkyries with 1 personality & multiple powers. What if he doesn’t get just one power or more than 1 Valkyrie. There hasn’t been a rule that says only 1 Valkyrie per human. This changes the dynamic and would be a fantastic surprise for us as the viewer to find out last minute that he lured Apollo in for a point-blank clean shot with the secondary power/weapon of the Valkyrie. This Valkyrie is going to be something shape-changing and adaptive. There also hasn’t been a rule that says your weapon has to be from your era, which is proven in the Adam vs Zeus fight.
What if it’s both a gun and wearable scope? Like you see in all kinds of science fiction, and that is slowly becoming more and more of a reality. This would make it to where the Valkyrie can talk to him while he gets a shape-changing gun. The scope would be a great red herring to his shape-changing gun plus his ability to see ultra-fine details. The teamwork between the 2 being able to communicate would make the fight minds against 1.
They could also give him a silencer that anything that passed through it would become divine. Being able to take off the silencer and attach it to another weapon would also be a good way to write a clever red herring.
My final theory for this one is decoys. Holograms or something kewl like that. Holo tech or hard light tech would be a great idea for camouflage for a sniper. It’s an idea I really like, but I feel like in a 1 on 1 fight like this, it wouldn’t be as useful. I hope it is this and they prove me wrong. Cause if they were going to use future tech it would be with Simo and Tesla.
8th match - Loki Vs Michel Nostradamus: Loki wins.
This fight is different from the others. It’s going to be more about who can outwit the other.
Michel Nostradamus was a man who was famous for being able to accurately predict the future. He would get dreams and write them down and they would come true. Some were just a set of details & others were very detailed. He even wrote a book that predicted events far after his death. He was a writer. Because of that, I think his perfect weapon is going to be a Pen & Book that can rewrite the future. His special ability is going to be able is going to be different from both of the types of powers shown before. It’s going to be one that boost either his mental abilities to predict the future or his ability to write.
The reason I choose a Pen & Book for his perfect weapon is cause it makes sense to the historical lore of Michel Nostradamus. There are plenty of stories about pens that can write the future. A lot of them getting their inspiration from Nostradamus. We have all heard the phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword”. Well, that’s going to be true for this fight.
Nostradamus wasn’t a fighter he was a thinker. That’s going to be his major downfall of this fight. But Loki, on the other hand, is a warrior in all of his mythology. He is brilliant, the most intelligent out of everyone in Norse mythology, including Odin. He was able to see through the plans of others & take action before anybody else. When it comes to the misunderstood character, Loki is one of the first to set the trope.
Loki has a lot of lore in Norse mythology. He is the father of Hel “the queen of the underworld”, Jörmungandr “the world serpent”, Sleipnir “the fastest horse with 8 legs & Odin’s horse”, and lastly Fenrir “The wolf with unlimited potential”. Hel & Sleipnir get probably the best endings for their stories. But, Jörmungandr is cast out & Fenrir gets the saddest story of them all. Loki ends up leading the war against Odin at Ragnarok & Fenrir is the one that gives the killing blow.
Loki’s fate before Ragnarok? He is to be imprisoned with the most venomous snake with acidic venom to be dripped on his head for eternity. His wife ends up staying with him and using a bowl to catch as much acidic venom as possible before having to go emptying out the bowl, leaving the venom to drip on Loki once again.
I think in this fight, Loki is going to find out the truth about his fate, figure out a way to change his family’s fate, and possibly change to the humans' side after winning. He is going to use the Pen & Book of fate to change it. At first, Nostradamus is going to try to do what Jack The Ripper did, but Loki is going to “see-through” see-through me it’s the book. But, it is actually both the Pen & the Book. He will eventually get his hands on both & that’s when he will make sure things change. Before finally killing Nostradamus.
(Side note: from this point forward I am looking forward to all of these matches and I can’t wait for them.)
9th match - Anubis Vs Grigori Rasputin: Grigori Rasputin wins.
Anubis isn’t a head of a Pantheon. He is the person who judges souls before directing them to where they are supposed to go and the person who prepares the dead body for burial. While he does have a huge following & different parts of Egypt had different deities they primarily worshipped, he still isn’t the Head of a Pantheon. I honestly can’t wait to see his character design. I would also love for them to point out he isn’t a wolf deity and the Egyptian wolf deity was Wepwawet. That would make me, as a fan of deep lore, along with being a huge fan of Wolves as a species, this includes supernatural wolves like werewolves as well, very very happy. Anubis has also been dethroned & beaten multiple times in the stories he has been a part of.
Grigori Rasputin, the mad monk that wouldn’t die easily. The holy man of sin. A man that was so smart that he was able to completely topple a monarchy with plans put in motion before he was killed. 5 attempts to kill him before they finally murdered him. He was known to be a healer and even able to predict the future. He had so much charisma that he was able to talk his way into anywhere & was extremely sexually attractive. They said he had mystical gifts.
What is going to be his special powers are & the perfect weapon going to be?
His powers are going to be related to his charisma. It could be the power of persuasion. He had a natural gift for being able to talk his way anywhere. A real silver tongue, or in his case, a tongue of platinum. It’s the only thing I could think of for him. It was his best natural talent throughout his life.
I thought about it being the power of predictions, but it doesn’t make sense to have 2 prediction-based powers back to back and the weaker prediction abilities of the 2 win. It would be bad writing along with less exciting. That’s why I think the writers won’t go in that direction.
We still have to figure out his perfect weapon. I think his perfect weapon would be something a bit more fun. The more people believe in him, the stronger his powers become. Like a God. This would be an excellent way to switch things up when it comes to powers along with new ways to outthink the gods, giving the writers a great chance to showcase more of their talents. This breaks the mold that was placed beforehand. This would also go great with his powers of persuasion. The longer the fight goes on, the more people believe in him & the stronger he becomes until he finally beats Anubis.
I thought about it being his ego & self-belief, but the one key thing that made me feel like that was wrong was the fact that Grigori Rasputin hated himself most of all. If anything is going to actually be the deciding factor in this fight, it is going to be if Anubis powers scale equally to your own conscience and whether you believe that, you’re a good person or not. If that plays a role, it could honestly go either way. My money is still on The Holy Man of Sin. He is another great example of some of the worst history has to offer.
10th match - Susano’o no Mikoto (lower Chinese god of storms) Vs Nikola Tesla: Nikola Tesla wins.
I am actually happy & a fan of the pick of Susano’o No Mikoto. He was a lower-level deity, sure. The reason he was a lower-level deity was because of how mistreated he was. He could easily be a higher-level god equal to that of Poseidon. His natural nature is what made him become mistreated cause he was like a storm. This means he could suddenly have a shift in his mood that he couldn’t control. He is also the reason why we didn’t see Zeus or Thor using lighting bolts in this series. Each God is different & uses different abilities. Having 2 or 3 Gods using lighting would be too much, bad writing, and overly predictable. Instead, they saved all the Lighting for Susano’o.
Nikola Tesla, The Master of Lighting! The smartest man in the world of his time & one of the greatest inventors of all time. A man way before his time. This isn’t just going to be a battle of Lighting at all instead. It is going to be a battle of wits. Tesla is going to have mastery over lighting on the battlefield from the start of the match. I think Tesla is going to use his ego to make Susano’o upset and take advantage of the situation to win.
Tesla’s special ability & Perfect Weapon is a very good question. This one is going to be a mental one, for sure. I think Tesla might have the ability to imagine anything in extreme detail. Being able to invent new technology in the finest of details in his head without issues. He would have a full extent of knowledge on how everything works. With his time in the back, he might even be studying after watching the Adam match & realize you can have weapons that are not from your time along with how the relationship with the Valkyries work. He is not too arrogant to prepare for his match.
With this being said, I think his perfect weapon would also be his imagination being able to bring anything he can imagine to life in an instant. He would be able to study all kinds of science from as far into the future as possible. He would be given a Valkyrie & created the union with her as soon as possible. He would prepare for his fight ahead of time, creating all kinds of technology, practicing his abilities to imagine the new technology accurately. He would go in confident that he would win for this very reason. He loves mankind and will do anything he can to win with the American never give up attitude.
This fight is going to be written very well with these two characters. I can’t wait to see their character designs & voices.
11th match - Beelzebub (s?) Vs Qui Shi Huang, Kintoki & possibly others, but it all counts as one win: Beelzebub (s?) Win.
Why do I think this is going to be a match where it’s going to be Beelzebub Vs Qui Shi Huang & others? Cause I think he is going to request a different kind of fight. A full-fledged war is going to be asked for instead where Qui Shi Huang can use his armies against the many different versions of Beelzebub. I think Qui Shi Huang & Beelzebub are going against each other cause they are both kings with multiple names & are often seen using misguiding tactics. I think Beelzebub is going to like the proposal & agree with it. This is going to allow others who have been mentioned in the list of fighters to take part in the series as well.
I think Beelzebub is going to win this one since Hajun lost his match. After 2 wins back to back for humanity, this, along with the next match, will be wins for the Gods as it would tie up the score for both sides. Even though Qui Shi Huang may be a great general & strategist, he isn’t going to win this match cause he won’t have his greatest asset, Lu Bu, and his army. But, because he doesn’t have Lu Bu, I think Sakata Kintoki & Okita Sōji are going to be allowed to join the fight on Qui Shi Huang's side.
Sakata Kintoki was considered the strongest warrior in Japan of his time eventually he would become a direct retainer for the samurai Minamoto no Yorimitsu. Who had his own army with just a little bit of persuasion I can almost guarantee that he would be allowed to use that army.
Okita Sōji was also a leader of a special elite police force and would also have a small army to contribute to this fight.
In short, these 3 people are all kings and generals of Eastern Asia. The idea of them working together isn’t far off with the idea of humanity being on the line. Beelzebub himself is the King of hell with his own army of the damned at his disposal. He would actually suffer no real defeat if he loses souls and would have a very large amount at his disposal & that would be the deciding factor in the fight. The sheer amount of numbers in this fight on The Lord of Fly's side makes this fight one-sided. I think Qui Shi Huang's arrogance is going to be the downfall on this one.
This would also give both sides the ability to pick a backup fighter for a dream match and give the fans something either they want or didn’t realize they wanted. A surprise Hype match for everyone before the final fight of the series.
Other than Swords, there isn’t anything about these people who would have unique & special weapons or special abilities that we haven’t already seen compared to the rest. This would make these characters less interesting in that aspect of the series. The only way to make these characters special would be to do it like this in the long run.
The lastest chapter, chapter 51 reassured me that there is going to be different versons of Beelezbud that are clones of himself that he created or something like that.
12 - Back up picks
For the Gods: Sun Wu Kong “The protector of the God’s” or a pick out of left field Baron Samedi of Vodun Haitian religious beliefs.
I’m going to start with the lesser-known Baron Samedi as he is considered one of the most powerful Loa in the Haitian religion Vodun. He is a Loa of the dead & the Head of the Guédé family. A lot of people tend to believe that Baron Samedi Guédé is evil. He isn’t evil. He is actually good, more chaotic good than anything, really. If Anubis prepares the body for the funeral, then Samedi is the one who buries the body in the grave. When he isn’t working, he is partying. He has been known to prevent children from dying. He is a lover of games. A hater of liars, cheats, those who steal from the dead, & if you hurt children, he will hurt you. No wonder he was labeled as Evil by the Catholic & Christian religions. I would love to see more representation in the series of people of colour from around the world instead of just “white” & Asian people, especially since they have a Netflix series now.
The only person who could beat him was Buddha. That’s right, we are talking about The Handsome Monkey King. The unstoppable Sun Wu Kong is a great pick for the side of the gods since we have already had Buddha Fight for the side of Humanity. He has been dated to go back all the way to Hindu religions before Journey of the West was written. Journey of the West just made him extremely popular along with making sure he was never forgotten. The Immortal Sun Wu Kong, The Handsome Monkey King, The Great Sage Equal to Heaven, & The Protector of the Heavens are all names he has received. He can’t die. Like literally can’t die. I don’t even think Buddha could kill him if he tried. Subdue him and beat him in a fight? Sure. But killing him would be impossible.
For Humanity: Bruce Lee or Yasuke: The Black Samurai.
Bruce Lee honestly, if you don’t know who Bruce Lee is, I don’t know what to say. This man is an absolute legendary fighter who was never seen to showcase his true skill in a fight as there wasn’t many who could match him along with it being a different kind of world he grew up in compared to everyone else on this list he never HAD to fight for his life in the same regards. He changed the future of martial arts & the film industry forever. He inspired Jackie Chan, created MMA gloves, was a voice of the people who fought for equality, & against racism. He had every right to be confident in his abilities. Some might see it as him being egotistical, arrogant, & overall cocky. That was because they knew they couldn’t beat him & mad about it. After all, he was such a nice guy they couldn’t bully.
His weapon would either be a pair of nun-chucks or something that would increase his overall fighting power to anime levels. His powers would more than likely be something to do with being able to have a supernatural willpower to keep fighting and getting back up like Sun Wu Kong. This would be a hype match for the ages!
Yasuke The Black Samurai was a slave before becoming a Samurai. After a short time as a Samurai, he was forced back into slavery. This is another story about how Christianity did damage, made slaves out of people of colour, and was hell-bent on taking over the world. His weapon would be dual-wielding katanas. His abilities will relate to his physical body as he was said to be like 6’6"-7" tall, have the strength of 10 men before his samurai training, & to be quick on the battlefield with no hesitation to take lives.
It would be Bruce Lee Vs Sun Wu Kong or Baron Samedi Vs Yasuke. Either one of these would be a fantastic fight, honestly. I can’t even decide on which one I would want to see more. I will leave it up to all of you to figure this one out.
The “Bruce Lee Vs Sun Wu Kong” fight is a hype fight for 2 Over Powered Icons to be an epic for the ages. If this series does this, then it would be the only series to ever do this and would get so much attention for it.
The Baron Samedi Vs The Samurai Yasuke match would be an epic that would cause so much controversy on just SOME of the things that have been done in the name of Christianity in how it actually got to be where it is today. It would shed light on the truth about Christianity’s morally wrong, blood-soaked, warpath it took to become widespread today. This story would be more than just a hype match it would be an amazing opportunity to give the truth about Christianity & Black History along with the damage done by Christianity to people of colour all around the world that are STILL being affected by the things that happened that far back.
A tag match would be amazing, honestly! It would mix things up a bit and even create an opportunity to bring in 2 well-known characters while at the same time bring in 2 lesser-known characters. This fight would do good for the world as a tag match to show how these characters wouldn’t be racist towards each other in the slightest or even have any kind of racism towards each other in the fight. It would tell brilliant stories about mistreatment & teach people about racism at the same time as showing people the truth about Christianities's relationship to the History of people of colour. I am in support of a Tag Match. That’s MY Vote. What’s yours?

13th match - King Leonidas vs Odin: King Leonidas wins.
Odin is The One-Eyed King of Asgard. He is destined to die at Ragnarok at the hand of Fenrir The Wolf with limitless potential. The Wolf was bound by a golden silk-like ribbon ordered by Odin to be created just for Fenrir. Odin isn’t the good guy people seem to think he is. He is the very reason for Ragnarok to begin with. All-cause of fear and paranoia. I think this is going to be his biggest down flaw in this fight.
The King of Sparta. Spartans are the most feared warriors in history for a reason bread for war. These guys were monsters in every meaning of the word. There were terrible people. They killed & tortured kids, they killed & tortured slaves, and they even killed & tortured each other to some extent. He died at the hands of the Persian Army after he & his elite 300 Spartans took out a good percentage of the Persian Army. The phrase “what is a god to a non-believer?” is the perfect line to finish this fight. It’s said that he missed his short in killing his last king. I don’t think he would miss twice.
I have been thinking for a while about what would be the Spartans’ perfect weapons and abilities are going to be. I think he is going to have a sword, shield, and his cloth cape. I think he is going to win with a piece of cloth from his cape attached to the tip of Leonidas spear, hitting him in his eye.
This would relate to the story where Odin’s other son, Balder, was killed by Loki for whatever reason. I think it was cause Loki might have been paranoid or maybe cause he saw something dangerous in MAKING everything in the universe but mistletoe to promise not to harm Balder.
There was a party going on and everyone started to play their new favorite game “throw things at Balder” cause he currently is hurt so he could easily dodge, things would move around or break on him, Thor could hit him with all of his might and he would be unharmed. After Loki figured out the secret that mistletoe could hurt him, then made a plan to kill him.
Höðr, in Norse mythology, is a blind god. Höðr was the son of Odin & Frigg. He was tricked by Loki into killing his brother Balder. Loki helped Höðr to “participate in the fun” by turning invisible & helping Höðr aim an arrow with mistletoe on the tip, right at Balder’s heart. It was this event that leads to Loki’s imprisonment.
With Loki’s fight coming before this & Loki going up against someone with the powers to see the future along with the possibility of him changing the future, plus the Lore of both characters, this is why I think King Leonidas is going to win this match.
Bonus plot twist: There is going to be a group of deities that are working together to help mankind. I think Hermes is just one of them. Buddha planned his switch from the start & is one of them. All the Valkyries count as 1 voice. There is going to be a handful more that’s going to be revealed.
The consequences for the Gods losing is going to be something much larger than just them staying out of humanity’s lives for 1000 years. The consequences are not going to be the death of the Gods.
The end of the series is going to somehow lead into other mythological Armageddon tournaments or something along those lines of dealing with different kinds of doomsday events.
This series is just the introduction of the main characters that are going to be fighting together to save the earth.
I know that something deeper is going to be revealed. It has already been hinted at throughout the series. I am just making guesstimations on what they might be. I don’t know for sure, but hear me out, Aliens...
