Rebel Ridge Movie Review: A Dark Thriller That's Not for Everyone
A Family-Friendly Thriller with a Slow-Burn Appeal

I just watched a movie on the Netflix platform and I became a fan of its concept and world buildup.
The movie is 100 percent interesting and listen carefully to the things I am going to tell you. If you have seen the trailer of this picture or you might know about this picture. So let me make one thing clear you do not get to see any heavy action in this picture. I mean this picture is not action based at all.
This movie primarily targets, or rather, will appeal more to those who enjoy slow-burn dark thrillers. The way the characters are portrayed in this film, their conflicts, and the tense atmosphere created around these conflicts will only be truly appreciated if you're into dark thrillers or slow-burn type genres.
Now look, to watch this picture Rebel Ridge, you will have to take the help of Netflix which is also available in Hindi. If you want, you can watch the movie with your family. There is no foul language or vulgarity in the picture.
In a way, you can watch this movie considering it as family-friendly content.
Coming to Hindi dubbing, it is quite good no doubt, just turn off the subtitles otherwise you will see adult language there.
Story
Coming to the story takes us to Terry Richmond, who comes to town to rescue his cousin. As soon as he arrives, something happens to him—some police officers take something from him. Now, what that thing is, I won’t spoil it for you. You'll understand when you watch the movie. But to find out what starts happening in his life afterward, you'll need to watch the film yourself.
Rebel Ridge Netflix Review
Look, there is no doubt that I enjoyed watching this movie, or rather, it was an enjoyable ride for me, especially the atmosphere of buildup or tension in the first half, which is no doubt top-notch, but yes, in the second half, the picture goes down a bit. Where you will feel its length a little but some things start happening that can most probably disconnect you from the picture but still, the action atmosphere seen in Climax gives a chilling feeling.
There is not much action like in the movie, this picture is drama-based and according to the drama, the thriller portion that this picture presents to you is quite good.
Now it is not that the concept of this picture will present you with too many out-of-the-box things, you will feel a little newness in the story but still, if you have seen Rambo or Reacher type series then you will get the same type of vibe in this picture.
The production value is quite good and the actors we get to see, especially lead actor Aaron Pierre, his performance or his body or his intense scenes are worth watching.
Now while there are so many positive points, there are also negative points in the picture I felt the length of the picture and the second half did not work for me as much as the first half did, meaning there are some points in the first half where Excitement goes up but in the second half I felt quite down.
But still leaving all these things aside, I would only tell you that if you like watching movies made on thriller dramas or slow-burn content then definitely give Rebel Ridge a try this week. It can be a pretty good timepass for you, especially if you don't have anything else good to watch.
As for the mass audience who enjoy masala films, heavy action, or fast-paced content, I don't think this movie will work for them. I mean, you can watch it if you want, but if you decide to skip it, you won't be missing out on much.
