I was watching a movie last night and I went to bed late, at 12 o'clock in the morning! I wasn't tired though...so since I finished my last book the previous night I wanted to look for something else on the bookshelf. I plucked a book called 'My Life With The Liars', reading the short description on the back briefly and began reading it in bed, unaware of the incredible storyline that would keep me awake for hours.

SPOILER ALERT!

It all began with a scrawny 12 year old girl named Zylynn, who was kept in 'the Light' her entire life she remembered. All the good boys and girls in the Light were safe from Darkness and the Outside, and if they obeyed the rules, Father Prophet would allow them all to stay in the Inside, away from the Liars and evil itself. But this meant the Hungry days and getting rocks thrown at as punishment would go on forever...or at least until one turned 13. But it was all for Mother God, right? Yes, she was what kept the hundreds of lights on all day and night...or was it just electricity? No, Zylynn couldn't become curious...curiosity herself was evil, and so was the Darkness. But one day Zylynn was taken into the Darkness with a man...no, a Liar...in a car. Father Prophet was right! It was so dark! But when the Liar stopped the car, it wasn't to punish Zylynn or throw rocks at her...they were going Inside!!! But how could the outside have an inside? And why why why was it so colorful and bright in the darkness? Why was she given food and colorful clothes and her own room if the Liars were bad? Was it all a lie? She knew she needed to get back to the Light before the 10 days had passed and she turned 13, but she couldn't help but wonder, was it all bad? And why was Jaycia...or, her new name, Janice laughing and eating and looking...healthier in general, if she, like the Prophet had said, was doomed? Curiosity and it's evilness lingered above her shoulders. She now had so many questions...how could a person be called "my" if my was forbidden anyways? There was no father but the Prophet, no mother but God...right? So, why were her parents...the Liars saying otherwise? Was this her destiny? But when she turned 13, wouldn't all the food and clothes and toys and color and happiness stop? One night, determined to find out she flipped through a picture book of her with only 2 pictures in it. One was the skeleton girl she was, looking hardly over 8 when she was about to go into the darkness, another with Mother Teresa, or Tessa, pregnant. So she was Zylynn's "mother"? How? Curiosity took over her tiny, pint sized, 50 pound body and drove her to look at the tablet...there were links, recently searched all about the Light...claiming the Light to be BAD!!! cLAIMING IT TO BE TORTURING AND STARVING CHILDREN AND MESSING WITH THEIR BRAINS!!! But the Liars were wrong, not the Prophet, or Profit, like the Liars labeled him!!! She NEEDED to get back to the Light and say goodbye to her 3 wonderful siblings...who couldn't be Liars, they were too tiny and forced to stay in the Darkness. She looked up a map and marched 12 hours on her 13th birthday, to make it back before the sun set. It was so hard and horrible but she knew this was the only way. She'd miss a full belly and the thing the Outsiders called "Lunch" and the restaurants and colorful clothes and everything wonderful in the Darkness, including her friend, Jay...no, Janice. But when she got to the Light everyone was asleep; it was too late. She heard the girl's bellies rumbling and decided it must've been a Hungry Day. But when she looked through the Father Profiut's window at his nice, warm, light, huge, stone room, where everyone was laughing and drinking and there was a party...and a feast...and....it couldn't be...NO, IT WAS FORBIDDEN...Father Prophet had A GUN!!!! He saw her standing there, shaking. She asked where her ceremony was and he just said "You think YOU deserve a CEREMONY!? Ha!!!" Like it was so funny. She'd worked so hard, followed Mother God's voice...how? Louise...her "father?" was there, and he ran and took her back to the car and explained everything to Zylynn...but he didn't need to...she understood. Father Prophet was the Liar, not him. She believed him. This was the first time she trusted someone other than Father Prophet. This was the first time she trusted someone other than A Liar. Her new mother was her REAL mother. Mother God could be her mother too...or not. She didn't even know if she was real anymore...or everything she'd ever known before. "Will there still be...food?" She asked her REAL father. He laughed. "Yes. And there will never be another Hungry Day again." He hugged her, and this time, it was a REAL hug. A trusting hug. He was telling the truth. This Zylynn didn't need to ask Mother God. She just knew it. Her Birthday cake was wonderful and her family and friend, Janice, and clothes, and food, and toys and everything was wonderful. this was no Darkness. This was Life. And Zylynn loved it.

This was the most UNIQUE book I've ever read BY FAR! I LOVED IT! I stayed up until six o'clock in the morning reading this three hundred page, wondrous book! I think this might just be the BEST. BOOK. EVER!!!

You will be so addicted and not be able to stop reading once you start, so BEWARE, but I one hundred percent recommend.

One's life isn't complete without it!
