Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are reuniting for a horror comedy movie
The longtime duo who starred on “All That,” “Kenan & Kel,” and two “Good Burger” movies, announced the news on Amazon Tuesday.

Childhood memories come flooding back when it comes to the comedy duo of Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. They represent something wholesome, family-friendly, and respectful to arguably the greatest comic twosome Bud Abbott and Lou Costello.
Their energy and synergy is so engaging and light and fun that it’s difficult to take your eyes off the screen. The roles of course are reversed for Kenan and Kel. The straight man in Abbott is tall and lanky while Costello is short and round. Kenan is stocky and straightlaced while Kel is the goofy guy who's skinny.
It’s beautiful to see the pair get together to make money off their creativity. As child stars themselves, they witnessed how the industry operates and know how to maneuver through contracts and ensure the business is right before they can get in front of the cameras again.

Every little joke or sight gag that they display registers and reignites the flame of humor within the two of them. Their 2023 Good Burger 2 film sparked another comedic blaze as they teamed up again, this time to please horror-comedy supporters. It is an homage to the Abbott and Costello films of the past.
Their ability to move through scenes is something to treasure. For relatively young black men to still be friends and work together to get at a dollar all while having fun is inspiring. In the days of David Spade and Chris Farley, another Saturday Night Live associated alum duo, (Kenan is of course the longest running cast member in SNL history, Kel was never a part of the troupe) the two-man team makes clear they’re not about the drama, it’s all about the funny stuff.
Whatever jokes that hit hard but still maintain a family vibe keep both of them going. No matter the circumstances, Kenan and Kel have built up a personal and professional rapport together that resonates with audiences. The great thing also is that new generations get to see them while Gen X and Millennials will appreciate seeing their childhood stars on screens again.
There’s a certain nostalgia, of course, but there’s also a sense of the business of show. That carries over into the conversation. They should be getting heavy weighted checks for their efforts. Since they produced GB2, it would stand to reason that they would be on screen and behind the scenes in the producers’ chairs once again.
The happiness that is evident in the good-natured humor and overwhelming silliness has even put influencers like Kai Cenat in the film. This is just good business. To place as the number one show for three days on Paramount+ showed the impact and draw that these talented performers have brought to the table.
While the comic acts may not be highbrow or witty, their distinctive touch is always in abundance. They’re the first Kenan and Kel not the remaining Abbott and Costello or Spade and Farley. Their commitment to comedy crops up in all of their ways of distinguishing between the joke and the punchline. They land more than they miss. During a time of stress and strife in this world, it’s easy to lose sight and a sense of humor. That is why Kenan and Kel Represent what it means to deny DEI and go for stepping up and being bosses in their own right.

Two young Foundational Black Americans (FBA) have found a way to make their own movies on their terms without having to wait for the white man to give them a green light. Of course he has to approve of the duo, but it’s their jobs to see through the projects as producers.
