Jon Linstrom as Joey Armstrong

Jon Linstrom's GH fans miss him

Jon Linstrom did double duty at the ABC soap General Hospital as twins. He portrayed psychiatrist Kevin Collins, an upstanding Port Charles citizen, while his late psycho brother, Dr. Ryan Chamberlin, was a psychopath and serial killer.

Kevin had been absent for months before Linstrom joined Beyond The Gates on CBS. This past week, Kevin's wife, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), mentioned her husband and her grandson Ace Cassadine (Joey Clay), who has also been absent from the screen. Could this be an indication that they may soon be bafk on screen?

GH fans were encouraged to hear Laura speak of her husband and grandson and hope this is a sign that the duo might return. Perhaps Linstrom will do double duty like Wally Kurthy, who plays Ned Quartermaine on GH and Justin Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives on Peadcock. Some weeks, he can be seen on both daytime drama shows.

Joey is a mix of Kevin and Ryan

On Beyond the Gates, Linstrom portrays Joey Armstrong, a charismatic entrepreneur with a bit of Kevin and Ryan in him, although not to the extremes of the killer doctor. Armstrong owns Lakeview Casino and and an escort service. He worked his way up from humble beginnings to his current success and dislikes drama at his establishment, but the casino is a magnet for trouble.

Joey desires to improve his social standing and move into the coveted Fairmont Crest neighborhood. Still, he has a ruthless side, which Doug McBride (Jason Graham) is finding out. Graham appeared in the television series Creep Show, The Outsider, and The Walking Dead. he was also in two films in 2024, A Man's Promise and The Star City.

Doug anad Vanessa are in trouble

Doug, can't pay his gambling debt to Joey, who said he wanted his money plus interest this week. Joey gave Doug a list of illegal options to pay off his debt, including laundering money through his wife, Vanessa McBride's (Lauren Buglioli) high-end real estate firm.

Buglioliis known for the 2020 psychological horror film Transference followed the title role in the horror-comedy Courtney Gets Possessed (2022). Buglioli also had supporting roles in films Horror Noire (2021), Vendetta (2022), A Jazzman's Blues (2022) and Cinnamon (2023). In 2023, she played Kaitlin Fox in the Netfix crime miniseries, Florida Man.

Doug is a heart surgeon who makes good money, but his gambling debts are mounting. He and his wife don't seem to love one another and she sleep with other men. Joey has expressed interest in Vanessa but only to gain control of her real estate business.

Kevin and Laura

Joey may never qualify for Fairmont Crest

Doug was disgusted with Joey's options to pay him back, including deceiving Vanessa. In Friday's episode, Doug will be backed into a corner and have no choice but to follow Joey's orders. One option is to launder money through Vanessa's real estate agency, and he might consider this.

Is Joey setting Vanessa and Doug up to take eerything from them? Could Mcbride become so in debt to Armstrong that he will stab his wife in the back. Would Joey take over her real estate business and cause Doug to lose his medical practice? Will Joey fall in love with Vanessa aor only use her for financial gain?

Is it possible Vanessa may catch on and pull herself out of this mess before she loses all. Joey may gain the finances to move into Fairmont Crest but his busoness practces would make him a less than desirable neighbor. Stay tuned to Beyond the Gates and General Hospital to learn what happens next with Jon Lindstrom and his characters.
