Jeff Kober is out as Cyrus on 'General Hospital'
The threat from Renault is over and Port Charles residents can breathe a sigh of relief. They will also need to pick up the pieces of their lives and move on from all the drama.

It's time for Port Charles residents to begin picking up the pieces of their lives and moving forward. Soap Dirt has confirmed that Jeff Kober is out at least for now on GENERAL HOSPITAL. For viewers who were weary of Kober's character destroying lives, this is great news. Once Peter August was dealt with fans of the ABC daytime drama began bracing themselves that the end for Cyrus was near and they were correct. On Wednesday his character Cyrus Renault was taken from GH and being sent to a prison hospital. As he was leaving he stated to Laura that she would see him again so there is a chance that the bad guy could return in the future. His reign of terror is over but there is fallout all over the place that will take time to heal from.
Chase is near death because Cyrus tampered with the DNA test and Finn believes he is the detective's father. Dr. Finn thought DNA from Chase's parents would help him recover but he did not know that Renault changed the DNA test. Previews for Thursday have the doctor telling his parents that he knows why the treatment did not work. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers are hoping that this is when Finn figures out that Chase is his brother and that Gregory is the father of them both.

Willow is set to marry Chase even though she loves Michael. She believes this is the last thing she can do for him before he dies. GENERAL HOSPITAL fans are hoping she won't marry him and then he gets cured immediately after. If that happens this will be a stickier situation than when Chase and Sasha pretended to have an affair. Jax, Brook Lynn, and Sasha know that Willow loves Michael so this will really be a troubling set of events set in motion by Renault.
Jordan is offering her resignation as police commissioner because of all the laws she broke while dealing with Cyrus. The connection with Renault is why she and Curtis are divorcing and what led to her son TJ being beaten. Jordan may end up without her job or the man she loves all because of Laura's big brother. Speaking of Laura, she is glad Cyrus is gone but still is hurt that Lulu is still unconscious in the long-term care facility because her brother forced Julian to set off the bomb.

Spinelli is probably still reeling from Renault telling Carly he would send him back in pieces. Carly and Jason are trying to figure out who will run the Corinthos organization and Obrecht will be questioning Jason on Thursday regarding his intentions for her daughter. Carly is going to give Britt a warning about Jason and this entire situation is because of the evil doer. Julian's death and Sonny's amnesia are also tied to the actions of Cyrus. Trina and Portia are still shaken because of the drug lord holding them captive in their own home and Nikolas and Ava are also going to have to get over the choices they made because of this one evil man.
Brando, Sasha, and Gladys will also need to recover from the drama that took over their lives because of Cyrus. There are not too many people in Port Charles whose lives were not adversely affected during the year that Renault reined in terror. Jeff Kober is a great actor and he really put his all into Cyrus Renault. He may be gone but it will take a long time for the citizens of Port Charles to unravel from all the damage he has done.

Peter is dead because Finn knocked him down the stairs and Elizabeth is an accomplice. It's looking as though Anna is going to find his body where it has been hidden at GENERAL HOSPITAL. One way or another all of this drama is directly or indirectly tied to Cyrus Renault. Port Charles residents will have a tough time trying to put the pieces of their lives back together but they will persevere. Best of luck to the talented Jeff Kober wherever his future leads him.
